Extended Dissipative Filter for Delayed T-S Fuzzy Network of Stochastic System with Packet Loss
This research investigates a time-varying delay-based adaptive event-triggered dissipative filtering problem for the interval type-2 (IT-2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy networked stochastic system. The concept of extended dissipativity is used to solve the , and dissipative performances for (IT-2) T-S fuzzy stochastic systems in a unified manner. Data packet failures and latency difficulties are taken into account while designing fuzzy filters. An adaptive event-triggered mechanism is presented to efficiently control network resources and minimise excessive continuous monitoring while assuring the system’s efficiency with extended dissipativity. A new adaptive event triggering scheme is proposed which depends on the dynamic error rather than pre-determined constant threshold. A new fuzzy stochastic Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional (LKF) using fuzzy matrices with higher order integrals is built based on the Lyapunov stability principle for mode-dependent filters. Solvability of such LKF leads to the formation of appropriate conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities, ensuring that the resulting error mechanism is stable. Segmentation Techniques based on Image Quality and Edge Detection Algorithms
Segmentation is one of the fundamental tasks in the area of digital image processing and analysis. Segmentation highlights parts of the image that have common features. Such areas of the image are called Region of Interest (ROI). The choice of segmentation algorithm depends on the nature of the origin images and there is no single, universal method that can always be applied. When choosing a segmentation algorithm for a particular image, it is very important to test multiple methods and choose the one that gives the best results. This paper presents a comparison of several segmentation algorithms on different origin images. The comparison was performed based on standard parameters like Mean-Square Error (MSE), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Peak Signal-To-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structure Similarity Index (SSIM) etc. for image quality assessment.The results of this work can help in the selection of the edge detection algorithm and as a preparation for image segmentation
Ultrasound Pre-treated Osmotic Dehydration of Elephant Apple (Dillenia indica) Slices
Osmotic dehydration of elephant apple fruit slices was optimized using a Box-Behnken design. Sugar concentration, immersion time and drying air temperature were chosen as the experimental input variables. These were optimized by estimating the desirable osmotic properties and by evaluating the phenolic compounds, antioxidant activity and rehydration ability. The regression coefficients of all the valid response models have been determined and the possible effect of variables at individual and interactive levels has been analyzed. Osmo-air dried elephant apple slices with acceptable quality could be produced by subjecting the raw slices to sugar syrup dipping at 60°Brix, for 4h followed by air drying at a temperature of 55°C.
Traditional medicine of three regions of Russia and the use of information technologies to investigate itTechnical approach to pulse diagnostics of Tibetan medicine
The paper presents experience of investigating the traditional medicine for the three regions of Russia – Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva — that has been kind of folk tradition here for centuries. This is Tibetan medicine that is the cultural and historical heir of the Indian medical tradition using some elements of the Chinese medicine. The paper gives information on the problem of objectifying and automating the Tibetan diagnostic methods (inspection, palpation, questioning) using information technologies. This research has been carried out in two directions: objectification and automation of pulse diagnostics by the development of the Computer Pulse Diagnostic System and the development of the Expert Diagnostic System for questioning and inspection of a patient. On the basis of the assessments of the experts (specialists in pulse diagnostics) and mathematically detected diagnostic signs of pulse waves, statistical models of normal and pathological pulses (pulses of «hot» and «cold» diseases) have been developed. A catalogue of pulses is being compiled. This catalogue consists of classes of computer recorded pulse signals that correspond to Tibetan nosology. The expanded and differentiated catalog of pulses and the pulse wave pattern recognition program designed to compare measured pulses and reference pulses will make the basis for combining the diagnostic results by three diagnostic methods, which will lead to the creation of an Integral Computer Diagnostic System designed for diagnosing diseases and providing recommendations for health correction in accordance with the traditions of Tibetan medicine
Chemical variability in gymnemagenin, deacyl gymnemic acid, lupeol and stigmasterol of Gymnema sylvestre R. Br. populations in India
Variability in chemical composition of Gymnema sylvestre R.Br. (Apocynaceae) sampled from different bio-geographical regions of India was investigated. The impact of geographic conditions on gymnemagenin, deacylgymnemic acid, lupeol and stigmasterol content variability was studied by using chromatographic analysis. HPLC analyses showed gymnemagenin and deacylgymnemic acid content to vary between 10.19-23.38 µg/mg and 4.70-35.42 µg/mg (w/w dry weight plant material) respectively, while lupeol and stigmasterol were found to range from 0.57 to 10.8 µg/mg and 0.25 to 15.6 µg/mg (w/w in methanolic extract) respectively, by HPTLC. Taking into account the importance of geographical origin and climatic conditions that significantly affect the production and accumulation of secondary metabolites, the selected accessions/germplasms of G. sylvestre with high concentration of biologically potential phytoconstituents could be useful to industries for harvesting optimum levels of bioactive antidiabetic agent gymnemic acids and other sterols. These elite accessions/germplasms could be promoted and used for mass propagation and cultivation to ensure sustained supply of quality raw material for herbal drug industries, companies and entrepreneurs involved in the profession of medicinal plants and as secondary source of income generation to farmers.
The spiritual effects of yoga during the birth process
A transition begins to a period in which all emotions intensify together with the physiological, mental and emotional changes that occur during the journey of birth which is shaped with the beginning of birth process. Birth process is a moral and spiritual journey for a woman. In addition to all accompanying symptoms with the start of labour, the woman needs more support with uterus contractions. Yoga and meditation practices during the antenatal period are effective in promoting balance and surrender to the process for women. The mind is set free and perfect unity of body, mind and spirit is ensured in each asana during yoga practices. In each asana during birth process, the body, mind and spirit are united and integrated. In the meantime, the individuals drift apart from the impacts of external environment, introversion is enabled, and thus the labour is let flow. Yoga asanas implemented during labour may be shaped in accordance with the flow of labour and woman’s needs. With these features, perinatal yoga asanas support the mother and foetus physically and spiritually. This compilation aims to examine the effects of aspiritual integrity through yoga.
Traditional methods for vegetable and grain storage in Leh district of trans-Himalayan Ladakh
Cold, arid and high-altitude regions of Ladakh are exceptionally unique in the world and are characterized by extreme temperature variation, thin atmosphere with high UV radiation and less oxygen availability. Cultivation is not viable in Ladakh during the winter due to sub-zero temperatures, resulting in a severe shortage of fresh vegetables and an unbalanced diet. To combat the scarcity of fresh vegetables during the region's harsh winters, farmers have developed low-cost traditional methods for storing vegetables such as potato, cabbage, onion, radish, carrot, and grains such as wheat and barley that are compatible with the region's ecological and socioeconomic conditions. Indigenous knowledge and techniques are extremely valuable in the daily lives of Ladakh natives. In this study every traditional storage method been investigated from Leh district of U.T Ladakh. Hilly areas suffer various climate issues in the present scenario; thus, it is critical to promote the traditional strategy for sustainable agriculture and food security. This study discusses prevalent storage structures of Ladakh region such as Pang-Nga, Sadong, Tsodbang for keeping vegetables like potato, radish, carrot, cabbage, and grains. Charches, Thingches, and khygches method especially designed for winter storage of onions.
The Role of MgO Modifier on Physical, Structural, Optical andThermoluminescence Properties of Lithium Borate Glass System
Synthesis of lithium borate glass system was carried using the melt quenching technique with varying concentrations ofmagnesium followed by analysing the different characteristics such as physical, structural, optical and thermoluminesceneusing various techniques eg. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visspectroscopy, and Thermoluminescence (TL). The obtained XRD pattern confirmed the amorphous nature of the preparedsamples. Relevant physical parameters have been evaluated to study the response of these properties with respect tomagnesium content. The density and molar volume values showed that the network structure changed with increasingmagnesium content. It is evident from the FTIR spectra that the network of the prepared samples predominantly containsBO3 and BO4 units. The UV-vis spectra confirmed a decrease in the direct and indirect band gap values with increase inMgO content. Optical parameters namely refractive index, electronic polarizability, reflection loss and dielectric constantwere also calculated and found to be in good correlation with other studies. Following gamma rays irradiation with differentdoses, TL glow curves of prepared glasses were analysed. Deconvolution of TL glow curves was done using glow curveconvolution deconvolution (GCCD) function and trapping parameters of isolated peaks viz. activation energy and frequencyfactor have been determined
Removal of lead (II) ion from industrial wastewater by activated carbon prepared from Vitex negundo using batch adsorption studies
The potential of chemically carbonized Vitex negundo stem (VNC) for the effective removal of lead (II) ion from aqueous solutions has been investigated in batch experiments. The activated carbon prepared from VNC has been modified using the activating agent H2SO4. Lead adsorption significantly depends on the initial concentration of lead (II), pH, adsorbent dosage, particle size, and the effect of temperature. FT-IR used to characterize the functional groups and the powder XRD data elaborated on the active sites predicted in VNC-1. The main structures of activated carbons are amorphous, as expected and predicted. The results indicate that the carbon prepared from VNC-1 activated could be used to effectively adsorb lead (II) ion from aqueous solutions. Further, the optimum conditions for adsorption studies are calculated, and it is concluded that the activated carbon exhibits a good adsorption potential for lead ions
