Gastroprotective effect of Indukanta ghritam in Aspirin plus Pylorus ligation induced gastric ulcers in Wistar Albino rats – An experimental evaluation
Among various gastric diseases, peptic ulcer is commonly reported in practice. The exact aetiology is unknown however, offensive and defensive factors and no acid no ulcer theories are nearer to its aetiology. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is one of the causative factors, responsible for Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD). Various treatment modalities along with antacids, proton pump inhibitors, and H2-receptor antagonists etc. are available in conventional medical science but they have certain limitations as well as side effects. On the other hand, the traditional system of medicine may have the upper hand in such conditions. Various herbs, herbo-mineral and herbal formulations are described in Ayurveda for these conditions. Indukanta ghritam is one among the herbal formulations, which is mentioned in scheduled books of Drugs & Cosmetics act, 1940 and Sahasrayogam. It is useful in various gastric diseases and its clinical efficacy is proven. However, experimental data on its gastro-protective activity is not available till date. Thus, the present study was conducted to assess its gastroprotective activity at two different dose levels (4.5 g/kg and 9.0 g/kg) in aspirin plus pylorus ligation-induced gastric ulcer model in wistar albino rats. The efficacy of the formulation was determined on the basis of ulcer index, gastric volume, pH of gastric juice, anti-oxidant parameters, and histopathology of the stomach. Indukanta ghritam at double therapeutic dose showed comparatively better results in comparison to standard treatment and therapeutic dose group inferring the therapeutic values of the Ghritam in cases of PUD.
Testing of traditional ways of predicting lactation yield for selecting dairy cattle
There are many conventional methods for predicting the first lactation milk yield in 305 days (FLMY) based on fortnightly part milk yield data in dairy cattle. The different methods used are based on data available over different years as implicated under farm and field conditions. These fortnightly test day milk yields could be utilized in the estimation of 305-day milk yield by ratio method and multiple regression methods. The Sahiwal cattle can be selected for higher FLMY utilizing fifth fortnightly day milk yield (FTDY-5), FTDY-6, FTDY-7, FTDY-8, FTDY-11, and FTDY-18 test day yields. Selection can be carried out for higher first lactation milk yield based on fortnightly test day milk yields in the case of Sahiwal and its crossbred cattle.
Correlations for Fins with Impacting air Jets type Solar Air Heater
Experimental investigation has been conducted on a collector for non-cross flow configuration. The structure incorporates fins with impinging air jets below the absorber surface. The main aim is to examine the significance of implicating both the methods on heat transfer and thermal performance of the apparatus. Testing covers a prescribed range of operating and geometrical parameters such as, fin spacing (w = 0.03 and 0.06 m), stream-wise pitch (3 cm and 6 cm), dimensions of jet (circular in shape having diameter (Dj) = 6 mm, 8 mm and 1cm), mass flow rate of air (ṁ = 0.056–0.112 kg.s-1) and (Re= 5700–11700) respectively. An appreciable augmentation in thermal performance is noticed by mutual use of fins and air jets. The experimental data collected is further processed to develop correlations for Nusselt number in conjunction with fin and jet parameters of the set up for both the techniques separately
A New Efficient Method for the detection of intrusion in 5 G andbeyond Networks using Machine Learning

In this paper, intrusion detection framework has been designed usingvarious machine learning methods with the help of physical layer attributes and to providemore efficient system to increase the security. Machine learning methods for the intelligentintrusion detection are introduced, especially for supervised and non-supervised methods.Our machine learning based intelligent intrusion detection technique for the 5G and beyondnetworks is evaluated in terms of recall, precision, accuracy and f-value are validated forunpredictable dynamics and unknown conditions of networks
Effect of Passivation Layers Permittivity on DC and RF Parameters of GaN MESFETs
Surface passivation impact on DC and RF characteristics of GaN MESFETs was studied using ATLAS simulator from Silvaco. It has been shown that when the relative permittivity, εr, of the inter-electrode passivation layers increases, the breakdown voltage as well as the maximum output power density increases thus improving the applications of the MESFET device in high voltage and high power. However, the high values of relative permittivity lead to an increase in the gate-source CGS and gate-drain CGD capacitances on which the radio frequency performance of GaN MESFET transistors depends strongly. In effect, this increase leads to a limitation of the performances, RF of the GaN MESFET transistors. Finally, the variations of the parameters studied as a function of εr have been quantified and mathematical expressions are established. These formulas can be very useful for the judicious choice of the passivation layer in GaN MESFETs
The Experimental Investigation of Kinetics of Glass Transition of ZBLAN Glass by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry
A ZBLAN glass is a heavy metal fluoride (HMF) glass that possesses high thermal stability and excellent property as atransmitting material. The current study examines the thermal properties of ZBLAN glass utilizing Differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC) at various heating rates. The temperature of glass transition, Tg, is observed to vary with heating rate,indicating its kinetic nature. Through the use of Kissinger's and Augis- Bennett's methodologies and the heating ratedependency of Tg, the activation energy (E) has been determined. These methodologies have also been used to obtain thefragility index (m), which can be used to evaluate the glass forming ability (GFA) of the system. The fragility index found isgreater than 16, indicating that the ZBLAN glass is "fragile.
Cytotoxic and microbial studies of mixed metal complexes
Breast cancer and its treatment have become a prominent and challenging problem today. The increasing multidrug resistance to microbial pathogens is the root cause of breast cancer. Women suffering from cancer showed high levels of E. coli and S. aureus. In the last few decades, there has been a considerable need in the medical field for the discovery of new compounds endowed with antimicrobial activity, despite the fact that several antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs are currently accessible. Substantial research was conducted, particularly on transition complexes as metal-based drugs in pharmacological applications to provide therapeutic options. The synthesis, characterization, antibacterial activity, and cytotoxic activity of copper complexes with specific ligands of amino acids such as tyrosine and arginine are discussed in this work
Comparative Study of Flow Stress Modeling of Zircaloy-4 Sheets Manufacturedfrom Different Routes
Zircaloy-4 is proven to be an excellent structural material in the nuclear industry. In the present work, three types ofzircaloy-4 sheet materials are subjected to tensile tests at strain rates of 0.001s-1, 0.005s-1, 0.01s-1, and at four differenttemperatures of 298K(room temperature), 348K, 423K, and 498K.The tensile stress-strain data has been used to modelthe flow stress using three different constitutive models, namely the Johnson-Cook (JC) model, modified Zerilli-Armstrong(m-ZA), and modified Arrhenius (m-Arr) model.
