Reception of the children’s theater
Reception theory or aesthetics is the name which takes part in the literary world, gives reader responsibility as well as an author about meaning or interpretation of author's works and analyze reader's function in this field. It's a matter of debate or study, who give a meaning to the work. When does the work have a meaning? Who constitutes the meaning? Reader or author? In the context of our subject, in what way does the reception process realize for theater audience and children's theater audience? Is there a difference between adult theater and children's theater? The subject of this study is to answer this question "In what way does the reception of the children's theater audience group realize among the children 4 aged and older in our country? " in the light of the cognitive development theory of Piaget and the reception aesthetics of W. Iser and we grounded the observations that were made during the children's plays and the interviews made after the play
The Working Conditions in The Mining Sector: The Case of Mchenga and Kaziwiziwi Coal Mines in Malawi
The purpose of this paper is to examine the working conditions in the mining sector in relation to Mchenga and Kaziwiziwi coal mines in Rumphi district in Malawi. The paper reports that the working conditions in the mining sector are generally poor and that the workers’ organizations and their activities in the mining sector are effective tools for the improved working conditions. The paper however, argues that, to a greater extent, it is over expectations compounded by lack of knowledge on part of (amongst the) the employees and/or the community members around the mining workplaces regarding aspects of legal and non-legal liabilities of the workplace employers towards the implementation of labour practices and of corporate social responsibility interventions that complicates the sufferings of most mining sector employees in Malawi. It is thus important to encourage the establishment of workers’ organizations at a workplace and for stakeholders such as Civil Society Organizations to be conclusive in their complementary roles to government when it comes to the implementation of advocacy activities to the communities (employees) around the mining workplaces especially in the event that such activities’ implications have potential effects to cause some forms of conflicts between the mining workplace employers and their employees including the surrounding community members thereby likely to complicate workers’ sufferings as a result of some unresolved consequences.
Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis: Two Case presentations with different clinical manifestations and multifactorial etiology
Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST) is a rare form of venous thrombosis which commonly affects young adults. CVST has variable clinical presentation such as headache, seizure, hemiparesis and even coma, thus mimicking stroke and other neurological disorders. Due to such non-specific wide spectrum of clinical presentations and variable etiology in young adults, CVST can be misdiagnosed easily, especially in initial stages of presentation which consequently affects the outcome and prognosis of the patient. Thus when a previously healthy young adults acutely presented with such variable but primarily neurological clinical presentation, it is vital for medical practitioner to have fine knowledge and skills to suspect CVST as a differential diagnosis. We present two cases: first case is a 21 year old female with puerperal CVST who had caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia three weeks before, who presented with headache and recurrent seizures, followed by hemiparesis; the second case is a 25 year old female with CVST, on oral contraceptives, who presented with right monoparesis, aphasia and facial asymmetry. In both cases though CVST was not the initial diagnosis, it was subsequently diagnosed early and confirmed by MRI brain and MRI angiogram and anticoagulation was commenced effectively, despite associated haemorrhagic infarct in the first case. Both patient made remarkable recovery without any significant residual neurological deficit

E-commerce risk management is to protect the development of e-commerce. It includes setting information security objectives, assessing vulnerabilities, threats and attacks, and selecting countermeasures. The paper presents the theory of e-commerce risk management, analysing the Vietnam Airlines e-commerce risk management case, using the DREAD model. The paper provides the discussions and short recommendations to other enterprises in e-commerce risk management nowadays
Field Evaluation to the attraction efficiency for the different sources of the red palm weevil aggregation pheromone
Field experiments were conducted during the periods from June, 2014 to March, 2015, in three date palm orchards located in Al Ain city, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in order to evaluate the attraction efficacy for five different sources from the red palm weevil (RPW), Rhynchophorous ferrugineus Oliver (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), aggregation pheromone by using the standard four window black bucket trap. The three orchards are characterized by having different levels of infestation incidence by red palm weevil. The Randomize Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatment and three replicates was used in each of the three orchards. The aggregation pheromone sources used in this experiment were: Rhyfer 700, Pherocon RDPW Lure, Ferrugitom 700, Weevil lure, and Ferrulure +. Collectively in the three farms as well as per each farm, Weevillure aggregation pheromone trap capture significantly lower average numbers of RPW adults than Rhyfer, Pherocon, Ferrulure, and Ferrugitom pheromone sources. Rhyfer pheromone is about 1.12, 1.18, 1.56 & 1.16 % more efficient than Pherocon, Ferrugitom, Weevillure & Ferrulure, respectively
The Development of Speaking Skills using the Immersion Teaching Model: A Case Study of a 5th Grade Greek Primary Class in an EFL Context
This paper investigates the development of students’ speaking skills, using the Immersion Teaching Model (ITM) as a form of process differentiation. It aims to explore whether the ITM intervention in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context will have an impact on the students’ speech development and motivation, and will furthermore investigate its feasibility as a teaching approach. A 5th Grade class of a Greek state Primary school was used and action research was implemented. The research findings revealed enhancement of the speaking skills for the students that have at least an initial level of language speaking competence, but no difference was detected for the students of no speaking competence, indicating the need for further differentiation. However, the ITM intervention was proven feasible to use in the EFL classroom and highly affective to student motivation. The implications of the present research for the EFL context have shown that the ITM is flexible enough to accommodate the diverse educational needs, and benefit meaningful speech production if appropriately applied
A Theoretical Study of Stopping Power and Range For Low Energy (
A new empirical relation was obtained by modifying an empirical relation deduced by Chaubey (1977) based on Bohr’s classical mechanics by using least squared fitting method for stopping powers from 0.20MeV to 2.90MeV protons in Aluminium (Al), Germanium (Ge), Lead (Pb), Gold (Au) and Copper (Cu) solid target materials and the results compared with some available experimental values and earlier investigations as well as PSTAR and SRIM (2013) results. The proton range relation was obtained by directly integrating the stopping power formula and the values of the ranges for the elements are calculated and compared with PSTAR and Janni (1982) values. The calculated stopping powers and range values were in excellent agreement with the experimental values of Bichsel since the percentage uncertainty was within 10% and the theoretical values of Janni (1982) and, the PSTAR and SRIM-2013 codes generated values had the percentage difference approximately within 10%. The cross section was also calculated and the results discussed. The practical applications of the stopping power, range and cross section values of the selected materials are discussed.
An inquiry into ethnicity in the structures of the church: the case of Malawi
Ethnicity, tribalism and xenophobia could be found inside and outside church walls. Ethnic and racist behaviours in human beings are natural, learned and nurtured within societies around the world. However, ethnic identity and relations exist whether the ethnic groups are competing or not. The first challenge of the early church in the New Testament Church was to overcome ethnicity and hostile divisions between Jews and Gentles. The New Testament Church’s principles of open plural government overcame the phenomenon. The contemporary church is in dilemma to understand its archaic church polity and order in her own challenging context today
Gallium (III)-acetate speciation studies under physiological conditions.
This paper describes an experimental investigation in aqueous solution of the equilibria between gallium (III) metal ions and acetate ions as a model of low-molecular-weight ligand using potentiometric techniques under physiological conditions of temperature 37 °C and ionic strength 0.15 mol.dm-3 NaCl. Potentiometric measurements were monitored with the help of a glass electrode calibrated daily in hydrogen ions concentrations. Several metal to ligand ratios were used and the respective titrations data obtained in the pH range of 2.3-5.3 were treated using the SUPERQUAD computer program to determine global stability constants. Different species were considered during the calculation procedure and the following hydroxides have been characterized: , and coexist with one mononuclear complex Ga(CH3COO)+2. Speciation calculations based on the determined constants were then used to simulate the species distribution as a function of pH
Acinetobacterspp in Intensive Care Unit: Risk Factors Associated with Infection and Mortality
Purpose: Acinetobacter was known as a saprophytic colonizer, yet it is considered an important etiologic agent which is isolated from hospital-acquired infections. In this study, we aimed to investigate fatality rates, factors for fatality of Acinetobacter infections and relationship between combination therapies and survival.Patients and Methods: We evaluated patients with Acinetobacter infection in ICU for demographic and clinical characteristics, combination therapies and adverse effects of these therapeutic options, retrospectively.Results: Ninety-one patients with proved Acinetobacter infection were included in this study. We found that the fatality rate of Acinetobacter infection in ICU was 56%. Advanced age, carbapenem resistance and Acinetobacter isolation from respiratory secretions were significantly related with fatality. We found that carbapenem resistance increased steadily during a 5 year period, fatality rates significantly decreased with combination therapies including aminoglycosides. There wasn’t significant relation between colistin therapy and survival in patients with Acinetobacter infections.Conclusion: The patients should be well-assessed in terms of fatality risk factors in case of Acinetobacter infections that occur in the intensive care units. The empirical antibiotic treatment started earlier based on such risk factors may decrease fatality. The antimicrobial combinations including aminoglycoside may be considered more in order to the local resistance data
