Photographs in memory of T. E. Simle, A. E. Mead, and President John F. KennedyT. E. SIMLE 1905-1963 JOHN F. KENNEDY 1917-1963 A. E. MEAD 1902-1963 When Bismarck Junior College began this 25th year. it would have been hard to comprehend the tragedy that was to occur. The year began as any other. Then came No-vember - with its events that are of permanent sig-nificance. To us at BJC it has meant a loss of leaders and educators in our city. state. and nation within just eight days. Though the settings for these tragedies were widespread. the intensity is not lessened. These men. each in his own field. worked dili-gently through repreated difficulties to provide us with a more promising future and stable world. 72 TAYL"OTheR.••.o. ,Pld·.USBu'LYISe ••HbooIkN, GA,," TC.tylOo,·"M,.de"PAN

Photographs of the Milton and Norma Rue Arts CenterFormal dedication of the Milton and Norma Rue Arts Center took place on Sunday, November 8, 1964, in conjunction with an open house recognizing National Education Week. The generosity of the Rues is material evidence of the community aid and cooperation which has made BJCa pioneer in the junior college movement. 2 One of the interior classrooms of our new wing evidences the aesthetic as well as the functional attributes contained in the whole. These additional facilities are inspirational and beneficial to both student and faculty

Foreword and table of contents of the 1965 Jay-Cee-An (BJC yearbook)Foreword To allow the world to revolve around us without creating a change within us would be to eliminate the purpose of our college. To grow in knowledge, in achievement, and in stature is our aim. To keep pace with educational demands, the facilities of the school must also constantly expand. The dormitory, presently under construction, is the present tangible evidence of such expansion. With ever-increasing dedication and perseverance, we, the students of Bismarck Junior College, are laying firmer foundations for future students. In practice, we are planning tomorrow today.
