Vadnie on behalf of the Exchange Club
of Bismarck and was accepted for the
college by Ralph Werner. It was
carried to the stage by the Boy Scouts
for the presentation.
General W. H. Arnold, Commander
of the Fifth Army, gave the main
address. The Junior College Chorus
sang and the band played for the pro-gram.

horseplay, a big parade,
smorgasbord, homecom-ing

One of the big events which takes
place is the conviction and pun-ishment
accorded to the vio-lators
of the Hobo Rules.
Even the faculty joins in
the hayseedy proceed-ings.

group under the direction of Mrs. Ramon
Wildfang and has provided entertainment for
many events within the college and commun-ity.
In addition to singing for assemblies,
the ensemble has performed for P. T. A.
meetings, given a radio broadcast, and staged
a short musical, The Familiar Stranger.
In the group are: Sopranos: Jo McCrory, Doris Lunde,
and Wilma Liebl. Altos: Carol Danrot, Marlene Dan-rot,
and Mavis Myers. Tenors: Don Johnson, Jim Dunn,
Judi Bersch, and Jack Laschkewitsch. Basses: Doug
Ackley. Tom Haan, Bill Elliott, and Larry Seeger

leadership of Father Thomas J. Dolan. The club provides an excellent outlet for so-cial
and spiritual activity. Meetings are held twice a month consisting of business,
discussion, and lectures on pertinent local, national, and religious issues, and a con-cluding
lunch.
The activities of the club include sponsoring a religion class each semester for which
two college credits are given.
Last spring the group produced
monthly television programs
explaining the activities of the
club.

The Pep Band under the direction of Harold Kepler plays at school functions such as
basketball games, football games, and pep assemblies. In this way our college " toot-ers"
make their quiet or not- so- quiet contribution to our College life.

At the beginning of this school year a new society called the Collegiate Players
was included in B. J. C. ' s long list of organizations. This club is open to all
students, but, for the most part, is made up of those especially interested in
the theatre.

The Fortune Teller.
The Collegiate Players also sponsored a Christmas party for all of Bismarck's
Junior High students. Mrs. Jane Gray Smith advises the group.
