team found that this year his team fell short of
last year's regional championship.
Mystic dropped from first to second in the Mon-
Dak League. They had won the 1968 sub-regional by
passing Miles City by two points but lost out on the
championship this year as Wahpeton Science won by
two points in the semi-finals.
The team was primarily freshman team this year.
They started out at the beginning of the season with
five straight losses but then started to pick up as
league play started. The addition of three members at
the end of the season helped.
BjC's win over Bottineau Forestry enabled them to
place third in the Mon-Dak Conference.
Jim Glasser, formerly of Bismarck High, was the
most improved player and Dale Dobriener and Bill
Schmidt the leading scorers ..
Next season all the starters from this year are ex-pected
to be back. There will be a large number of
veterans back for the 1969-1970 season.
Co-captains for the year are Todd Baumgartner and Ted Ware

President, Jerry Engleman, explains to members about the forthcoming convention, while Marie

During the school year 1967-1968 BJC College Republicans have accom-plished
many worthwhile projects, among them was making the necessary
arrangements for the dinner and rally for Governor Romney. Thanks to
the College Republicans, the situation was handled quite well. The clubs
me m b e r s hip has greatly increased this year with hopes for many new
members in the coming school year. It will be election year and this will
give all a good chance to become involved in both State and National poli-tics.
The annual Convention was held in Grand Forks this year. Presi-dent,
Jerry Engleman, was unanimously voted in as first vice chairman
for State College Republicans. The highlight of the convention was an ad-dress
given by Senator Mark Andrews at the Saturday afternoon luncheon.
The convention will be held in Bismarck next year because of the upcoming
election year.
