Get PDF本稿ではコロナ禍において主にオンライン（遠隔）授業で実施された本学共通英語教育プログラムにおける TOEIC L&R テスト対策関連コースについて振り返る。３セメスター15カ月にわたる一連のコースの概要を述べたのち、コースを受講した2学年（2020年度入学生と2021年度入学生）のIP-TOEIC スコアの推移を調べ、受講生のアンケート結果についてまとめた。オンライン中心の授業において、コース最終の TOEIC スコアや学生の入学時からの TOEIC スコアの伸びは例年通りの高い水準を維持しているものの、１年次９か月間でのスコアの伸びに比べ２年次前期までの後半６か月のスコアの伸びは低いことが明らかになった。また学生への自由記述のアンケート結果では、3セメスターすべて遠隔授業を受講した2020年度入学生については対面授業とオンライン授業どちらがよいかについての意見は同じ程度であったが、最後の1セメスターで対面授業を受講した2021年度入学生についてはより多くの学生がオンライン授業よりも対面を希望していることが分かった。This paper reviews the TOEIC L&R Test Preparation Course, a series of 3-semester (15-month) courses offered mainly online by the English Education Research Center during the COVID-19 pandemic in the academic years 2020 and 2021 based on the students’ IP-TOEIC scores and feedback on the course. The data of the subjects’ TOEIC scores show substantial improvement over the entire course, as in the previous years, but they also clearly indicate much less improvement in the last six months than in the first nine months. Students’ responses to the open-ended questionnaire indicate no difference in preference for online vs. face-to-face classes among online-only students, but do show an appreciation of and desire for face-to-face classes among students
