Sumatran elephants are one of the big mammals that are proud of Indonesia, which are classified as endangered and protected species because their population is currently in a critical and threatened condition. On the other hand, the State of Indonesia is an agricultural country, where most of the people are engaged in the agricultural sector which requires land for agriculture and plantations. Population growth and increase have resulted in changes in land and forest functions, so a policy is needed that can accommodate these two interests. Therefore, policies to determine potential and safe habitats for elephant populations need to be implemented. One of these potential habitats is the Gunung Raya Wildlife Reserve, located in Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a potential and safe habitat for the Sumatran elephant population in Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency. The research method is qualitative, namely observation and analysis of vegetation. Observations were made to determine the available habitat components to support elephant life such as springs, minerals, salt, space and shade, while vegetation analysis was carried out to determine the availability of food sources for elephants. The results of research conducted from February to April 2021 show that the Mandoriang Protection Block is a viable, potential and safe habitat for the Sumatran elephant population because it has various types of plants, springs and mineral salts and has a large area of space and shade. can meet the daily movements of the elephants

Forest harvesting in the natural production forest management in Indonesia is mostly carried out using conventional logging techniques and causes serious damage to residual stands and soil resources. One of the efforts made to reduce this environmental damage is the application of reduced impact logging (RIL) techniques. This study aimed to collect and analyze research results related to the damage to residual stands caused by RIL in the natural production forest management in Indonesia. This study used a systematic review method. A systematic literature search was carried out at data sources such as Google Scholar, Research Gate, Science Direct, and SINTA, which were published between 1996-2021. All studies reported that applying RIL techniques can reduce the damage to the residual stands

In the last few decades, the global temperature increase is something society cannot avoid. Thus, each country's international policies at COP 26 deal with this phenomenon. Among these international policies to minimize the temperature rise that has occurred, are the presence of non-party-stakeholders, one of them indigenous peoples with a variety of local knowledge in maintaining the sustainability of forest ecosystems. In case of that, this study discusses efforts for the climate change mitigation and adaptation of Toro customary communities in Lore Lindu National Park. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a Delphi study. The results of our study show the effort of Toro communities to mitigate and adapt the climate change divided by the Nature School of Ngata Toro, Ombo, and the advantage of the land space of the forest. The development of these three patterns would greatly benefit Indonesia's program policy (FoLU Net Sink 2030). In order for the community to be aware of the values of local wisdom that may be applied in forest management in order to mitigate climate change, LLNP as the owner of a conservation area surrounding the forest, must be able to translate this potential efficiently
