La notte bianca del partigiano. Un romanzo segreto della resistenza di Carlo Coccioli
No full textL’articolo analizza un romanzo di Carlo Coccioli, La notte di ballo, conservato presso la Biblioteca Marucelliana di Firenze. Completato nel 1949, il testo è ancora inedito in Italia, sebbene sia stato pubblicato in francese da Flammarion. L’analisi, condotta a livello sia testuale che contestuale, si avvale del materiale conservato nel Fondo Coccioli della Marucelliana e di due carteggi pressoché coevi alla riscrittura del romanzo: l’uno con Giulio Einaudi, l’altro con Curzio Malaparte. Questi permettono di far luce sulla poetica di Coccioli e sulla sua traiettoria di outsider nel panorama letterario del Novecento. La notte di ballo rappresenta infatti un unicum nell’Italia neoverista: un romanzo che racconta il ritorno a casa e alla comunità di un partigiano ed ex-frate tormentato tanto nella fede quanto nella sessualità, con riferimenti a un’angelologia, che lo discostano dalle narrazioni tradizionali della Resistenza. Al tempo stesso, si tratta di un dattiloscritto preparato per la traduzione francese e corredato di note a margine, che rivela i primi segnali del translinguismo dell’autore

No full textIl contributo focalizza l’attenzione su Fabrizio Lupo e in particolar modo sulla declinazione del concetto di “segno,” pervasivo sin dall’incidenza della vicenda biblica di Tobia e l’angelo, di cui si evidenziano le occorrenze manifeste e latenti nell’opera. L’attenzione all’elemento scritturale ma anche ad altri riferimenti letterari (Hesse, per esempio) e alla produzione coccioliana (in particolar modo Il cielo e la terra) consente di riflettere sull’uso delle fonti da parte dello scrittore livornese e su immagini e tematiche ricorrenti nella sua opera. Emerge l’importanza del motivo del “riconoscimento” nell’amore omoerotico, fattore che determina il passaggio dalla “confusione babelica” all’angelicismo e all’unicità dell’amore, rispetto al quale i molteplici amori precedenti costituirebbero, in una prospettiva figurale, umbrae futurorum. Instead, the literature tends to provide research agendas developed by organizations that highlight areas of research that could use more attention by LIS scholars. This perspective paper discusses how developing a personal research agenda can enhance librarians’ work as researchers and can help guide them in their research journey. It also provides insight into what a research agenda might look like and how to go about creating one. No full textIn cases where a mass in the breast is diagnosed and a tru-cut or excisional biopsy is performed, mesenchymal lesions are rarely encountered. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a rare mesenchymal tumour originating from the dermis in clinical practice. It is generally a low-grade sarcoma and rarely metastasizes. Other malignant mesenchymal lesions observed in the breast include leiomyosarcoma, liposarcoma, chondrosarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, spindle cell mesenchymal tumour, and angiosarcoma. Primary mesenchymal tumours of the breast make up less than 1% of all breast malignancies. In this report, a 38-year-old female patient with a painless mass measuring approximately 7x6 cm, protruding from the upper inner quadrant of the right breast, was presented. The tru-cut biopsy performed on the lesion revealed a spindle cell mesenchymal tumour. A PET-CT scan showed a mass with increased SUV-max in the right breast and reactive lymph nodes in the right axilla. No distant metastasis was observed. The patient underwent a wide local excision with a 1 cm clear surgical margin. She was discharged on the 2nd postoperative day without complications. The pathology result of the main specimen was dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, with negative surgical margins, and the patient was placed under clinical and radiological follow-up

Similarly, “Darier-Ferrand Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans: A Rare Soft Tissue Tumor of the Breast and a Review of the Literature” presents the challenges of diagnosing and managing a rare breast tumour, emphasizing the delicate balance between evidence-based practice and individualized patient care when guidelines are scarce.
“Looks like cancer but not: Maxillary Sinus Hemangioma, A Diagnostic Dilemma” explores diagnostic uncertainty through a benign lesion mimicking cancer, illustrating the critical role precise diagnostic strategies play in preventing overtreatment. "Bacteriology of Secondary Peritonitis and Relationship to Surgical Site Infection in a Tertiary Health Establishment in Southern Nigeria" further broadens the discussion to infectious disease, highlighting the hidden microbial factors involved in surgical-site infections – reminding us of the unseen but significant determinants of patient outcomes.
Anatomical variability is vividly brought to life by “Deep Dissection of the Gluteal Region with Multiple Muscle and Nerve Variations and a Brief Literature Review,” revealing multiple unexpected muscle and nerve variations. These findings remind clinicians that the assumption of standard anatomy can be perilous, advocating for cautious and thorough surgical approaches.
The study “Incidence of Dyslipidemia and Hyperglycemia Among Healthy Female Teachers in Nablus, Palestine” brings attention to uncertainty within apparently healthy populations, uncovering widespread undetected dyslipidemia and hyperglycemia. This research underscores the importance of vigilant preventive health practices even among groups presumed low-risk.
Finally, “When Algorithms Meet Anesthesia: A New Era of Patient Safety” addresses the cutting-edge interface of artificial intelligence and anesthesia. This commentary navigates the potential and pitfalls UTMJ • Volume 102, Number 2, June 2025 of predictive algorithms, urging clinicians to thoughtfully integrate these powerful tools without sacrificing clinical judgment and ethical vigilance.
