EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT INFLUENCED BY PARTICIPATIVE LEADERSHIP, INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION AND JOB SATISFACTION AT PT PUTRA WIJAYA KLATEN, CENTRAL JAVA
The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the effect of participative leadership, interpersonal communication, and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Putra Wijaya, Klaten, Central Java. This research uses causal-comparative research. The research object is the transportation service company PT Putra Wijaya, Klaten, Central Java. Research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The population of this research is all employees who work at PT Putra Wijaya, Klaten, Central Java. This research utilizes 77 respondents. The results prove that participative leadership, interpersonal communication, and job satisfaction have a significant effect on employee performance. This research proves a strong influence on job satisfaction
Perancangan Prototype EFORKID sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk Anak-anak
English is a language that has an important position in many fields, both work, and education. However, there are still inhibiting factors in learning English like the lack of supportive learning media. In previous research on learning media, it was stated that learning media can increase students’ understanding, interest, and learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to design an EFORKID (English for Kid) application-based android prototype so that it can help improve children\u27s self-learning in learning English. This research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with survey techniques for data collection and the User-Centered Design (UCD) method in designing the prototype design. The design learning media that the author designed is in the form of low fidelity and high fidelity. The main features of this learning media application are watching, reading, listening, and testing. From the results of tests that have been carried out on target users using thinking aloud testing, it can be concluded that the EFORKID application is easy to use. We hope that this research, can help other researchers, especially those who are involved in the field of human and computer interaction, and can provide insight for readers regarding the design of learning media application prototypes.Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa yang memiliki kedudukan penting dalam banyak bidang baik pekerjaan maupun pendidikan. Namun, masih terdapat faktor-faktor penghambat dalam belajar bahasa Inggris seperti kurangnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung. Pada penelitian sebelumnya mengenai media pembelajaran dikemukakan bahwa media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan pemahaman, minat, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu merancang prototype aplikasi EFORKID (English for Kid) berbasis android supaya dapat membantu meningkatkan self-learning anak-anak dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan teknik survei untuk pengumpulan data dan metode User Centered Design (UCD) dalam merancang desain prototype. Desain aplikasi media pembelajaran yang penulis rancang yaitu berupa low fidelity dan high fidelity. Fitur utama pada media pembelajaran ini yaitu watch, read, listen, dan test. Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan kepada target user menggunakan pengujian thinking aloud, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa aplikasi EFORKID mudah digunakan. Harapannya dengan adanya penelitian ini, maka dapat membantu peneliti lain khususnya mereka yang terjun di bidang interaksi manusia dan komputer serta dapat memberi wawasan bagi para pembaca mengenai perancangan prototype aplikasi media pembelajaran
Produksi Metil Ester Menggunakan Nanokatalis Heterogen
Fatty acid methyl ester, is one of the alternative fuels for biofuels obtained from animal and vegetable fats through esterification and transesterification processes. In this research, used palm oil as raw material was used using heterogeneous catalysts derived from chicken egg shells. The first used palm oil is filtered to remove impurities that are still present in the oil, then pre-treatment is carried out by testing the acid number, free fatty acid, density and viscosity measurements. Followed by the manufacture of nano catalysts from chicken egg shells by calcination. The results of calcination of the catalyst were carried out by XRD analysis to determine the crystal structure and crystallinity of the resulting product. The process of making methyl esters is carried out by esterification and transesterification processes using heterogeneous catalysts. The results obtained that the best calcination temperature for a 20-gram catalyst was 9000C with a pH value of 14. The longer the reaction temperature in the transesterification process, the yield value of the methyl ester produced increased, where the highest yield value was obtained at a temperature of 600C. The longer the reaction time, the yield value produced will increase, where the highest yield is obtained at a reaction time of 25 minutes, which is 87.98%. From testing the physical and chemical properties of methyl ester, the results of the analysis of methyl ester products are within the limits of SNI Biodiesel
Analysis of the Potential for Alternative Fuels Refused Derived Fuel from Waste Briquettes at the Sidoarjo Regency Final Disposal Site
The Griyo Mulyo Jabon Final Waste Processing Site (TPA) in Sidoarjo Regency with a waste generation reached 350 tons/day had the potential to be processed into raw material for Refused Derived Fuel (RDF). RDF fuel had come from waste residue briquettes contained the composition of paper, wood, cloth, rubber, and plastic (4K1P). Briquettes that can be used as raw materials for RDF were those that have characteristics according to SNI standards. This study aimed to determine the percentage of the composition of briquettes that have the potential to produce RDF and the standard quality of the resulting RDF. The reseach was conducted by taking waste samples every week four times with variations in detention time of 2, 4 and 6 hours.a. The method of calculating the value of RDF standard quality was in accordance with SNI 01-6235-2000 with the parameters analyzed were water content, ash content, volatile/steam content and calorific value. The results showed that the best briquette composition produced from 4K1P waste residue was in samples with a composition of 20% wood, 10% paper, 10% rubber/fabric, and 60% plastic. The best quality briquettes with 5.5% moisture content, 4.9% ash content, 15.9% steam content, and calorific value 8996 cal/gram
GAMIFICATION ACTIVITIES ENGAGING PROSPECTIVE ELEMENTARY TEACHERS DURING ONLINE LEARNING
The urgency of achieving massive ICT-oriented blended learning is applied due to the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak. The Minister of Education and Culture instruction concerning online learning and working from home to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This study investigates factors impact on learning difficulties of EFL learners in using MOOCs, and how the utilization of MOOCs by EFL learners coincide with the expectation of National Higher Education Standards. This study employs a case study qualitative research in collecting, analyzing and integrating the result. The subjects included 80 students who took English course in Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education during the 2020-2021 academic year. There were two kinds of data source in this study. The first data is the outcomes of learning process from English course that was obtained from MOOC-based learning management system. The second data was the quality of additional application blend with learning management system using Quizizz to indicate a gap or distance between the expected students’ academic achievement. Data collected through participant observation, questionnaire and documentation. This study further our understanding of how the learning process should develop the social interaction includes an exchange of knowledge, discussions, and problem solving.
Pelatihan Hidroponik dan Pengomposan di Tingkat SMA dalam Rangka Persiapan Adiwiyata: Pelatihan Hidroponik dan Pengomposan
Limited land and high land prices are obstacles experienced by the development of settlements and schools. However, school institutions have a responsibility in shaping the character of caring for the environment in students. Therefore, hydroponic and composting training was conducted at the high school level with the aim that students gain knowledge and experience in farming using hydroponic methods and composting using waste in schools. The training method carried out includes 3 stages. The first stage is preparation with teachers to conduct training with students. Furthermore, at the implementation stage, hydroponic and composting training was carried out with high school schools in Lamongan regency. The last stage is an evaluation of activities with the school. The results of the training showed that 45% of participants were interested in hydroponic training and 65% were interested in composting training, 57% of participants were motivated in the application of hydroponics and composting in their respective schools. In addition, as many as 55% have a desire to learn more about the training that has been carried out. And 60% of the participants have the desire to pursue hydroponic and composting business
Pendampingan Kader dalam Sosialisasi Cuci Tangan pada Santri di Pondok Pesantren Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo: Pendampingan Kader dalam Sosialisasi Cuci Tangan
Latar belakang: Pondok pesantren (ponpes) merupakan tempat yang rentan terjadi penularan Coronavirus Disease 2019, atau COVID-19 karena masifnya pertemuan kelompok dan aktivitas belajar mengajar. Masa New Normal ini melonggarkan pertemuan tatap muka langsung namun dengan protokol kesehatan yang wajib dipatuhi dan dijalankan oleh penyelenggara pendidikan. Pondok pesantren Zainul Hasan merupakan salah satu pondok yang telah membuka pembelajaran tatap muka yang wajib melaksanakan pengaturan protokol kesehatan yang ketat untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan Covid-19. Metode: Sosialisasi protokol kesehatan dilakukan luring berupa presentasi, diskusi, dan praktek. Sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah santri Pondok Pesantren KHA Wahid Hasyim Bangil. Peserta diberikan sosialisasi dan waktu berdiskusi serta umpan balik langsung untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan pasca sosialisasi. Hasil dan Pembahasan: hasil sosialisasi meningkatnya diskusi terkait kepatuhan dan pergeseran kebiasaan terkait perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Sosialisasi dan pendampingan kader santri dalam pengetahuan pentingnya Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) dan Protokol Kesehatan (Prokes) dalam menghadapi pandemi covid-19 telah dilakukan. Kesimpulan: Sosialisasi protokol kesehatan memberikan dampak baik, dan menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan pada peningkatan antusiasme dari masyarakat dipengaruhi oleh minat dan urgensi ilmu yang ingin didapatkan
PENGARUH DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DAN EFIKASI DIRI DALAM PENCARIAN KERJA UNTUK MENCIPTAKAN ADABTABILITAS KARIER PADA MAHASISWA TINGKAT AKHIR FAKULTAS EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS NAHDLATUL ULAMA SIDOARJO
This research was conducted at the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo. This study aims to identify how much influence Social Support and Self-Efficacy have in job search to create Career Adaptability for final year students at the Faculty of Economics, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Sidoarjo. This research uses quantitative research methods and data processing is carried out using SPSS software. In this case, Social Support and Self-Efficacy in job search are independent variables, while Career Adaptability is the dependent variable. This study used 100 final year student respondents. The results of data processing obtained Social Support beta value of 0.686 with a sig value. of 0.000, the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that Social Support has a significant effect on Career Adaptability, while the results of self-efficacy data processing in job search have a beta value of 0.310 with a sig value of 0.000, a sig value. 0.000 <0.05 indicates that self-efficacy in job search on career adaptability has a significant effect
Perancangan Antarmuka Sistem Informasi Smart Classroom Menggunakan Metode Design Thinking
Advances in information technology today have provided many benefits in all fields, especially in education. Utilization in the field of education as an example is the construction of an information system website for the education system and information technology study program. With the use of information technology allows the implementation of learning to be easier and more comfortable. In making an information system for this study program, what will be included in the system includes information about student lists, subjects, attendance, learning materials, events, discussion groups. In this system, of course, only residents of the system and information technology study program can access it. The method used is design thinking which aims to solve problems and create many ideas for the development of study program information systems.Kemajuan teknologi informasi saat ini telah memberikan banyak manfaat di segala bidang, terutama dalam pendidikan. Pemanfaatan dalam bidang pendidikan sebagai contoh yaitu pembangunan website sistem informasi program studi pendidikan sistem dan teknologi informasi. Dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi memungkinkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah dan nyaman. Dalam pembuatan sistem informasi untuk prodi ini yang akan dimasukkan dalam sistem meliputi informasi tentang daftar siswa, mata pelajaran, absensi, materi pembelajaran, event, grup diskusi. Redesain Lingkungan Kerja dengan Pendekatan Mikroklimatik Ergonomi untuk Menurunkan Kelelahan Kerja dan Meningkatkan Output Produksi di Masa Pandemic Covid 19
Fatigue is a system of protection against physical damage due to excessive activity, but is sometimes considered a negative factor, which affects work efficiency. Fatigue has an impact on performance. If the level of fatigue is high, it will cause a decrease in productivity, so that the production output target is not achieved. Work productivity is influenced by ergonomic working conditions. An ergonomic work environment is indicated by microclimatic conditions that comply with ergonomic standards. To create an ergonomic work environment, it is necessary to pay attention to microclimate which include: air temperature, air humidity, air circulation, and lighting (light intensity). For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research on "Redesigning the Work Environment with a Microclimate Ergonomics Approach to Reduce Work Fatigue and Increase Production Output During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period. The results of this study are the comparison of the results of microclimate measurements, measurements of worker conditions, measurement of the impact on the workspace in the old and new workspaces. So that the results of this study can help cigarette entrepreneurs, especially the home industry (home industry) in an effort to reduce work fatigue, and increase production output
