RANCANGAN DESAIN EKSPERIMEN TAGUCHI DALAM PEMBUATAN BIOETANOL DARI JERAMI PADI
Get PDFAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar etanol yang terbaik dari hasil fermentasi jerami padi (Oryza sativa) menggunakan desain eksperimen Taguchi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode desain eksperimen Taguchi, rancangan percobaan menggunakan orthogonal array L4(23). Penentuan kadar etanol menggunakan uji K2Cr2O7. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kadar etanol yang dihasilkan dari masing- masing perlakuan. Pada kombinasi perlakuan konsentrasi ragi 30% b/v menghasilkan kadar etanol tertinggi yaitu 1,27% dengan waktu fermentasi selama 14 hari. Kombinasi ini merupakan formula dari rancangan desain eksperimen Taguchi yaitu A2B2C1.Kata kunci: bioetanol, desain eksperimen, jerami padi, taguch
EVALUASI PASCA HUNI ASRAMA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Get PDFAbstrak: Universitas Sriwijaya merupakan salah satu kampus dengan jumlah mahasiswa terbanyak di Indonesia. Saat ini ketersediaan asrama di dalam kampus sangat dibutuhkan bagi para mahasiswa baru, yang berasal dari berbagai daerah dan suku bangsa untuk lebih cepat beradaptasi dengan kondisi kampus. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, seringkali aspek kenyamanan, keamanan dan interaksi dalam penggunaan asrama tersebut terabaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pasca huni dari asrama mahasiswa di dalam lingkungan kampus Universitas Sriwijaya dengan teori arsitektur dan perilaku. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk mengorganisasikan data terkait kondisi eksisting dan aktivitas, sedangkan dari segi fungsional, teknis dan tingkah laku digunakan analisis Post Occupation Evaluation (POE) atau Evaluasi Pasca Huni. Hasil dari penelitian ini nanti diharapkan mampu memberikan gambaran dari keterkaitan bangunan terhadap aktivitas kehidupan di dalam asrama mahasiswa yang terdiri dari banyak etnis budaya. Get PDFThis research aims to determine the influence of physical work environment and non-physical work environment to employee satisfaction at PT. PLN (Persero) South Sumatera region. Sampelyang used in this study is all employees of PT. PLN (Persero) region of South Sumatra which amounted to 82 people. The techniques in this study use methods in the form of data and numbers with a desktiptive approach that is to formulate and interpret data and numbers. As for the variables in this study is the physical work environment (X1) of the Non physical work environment (X2) and the bound variable (devenden) called the variable Y. Variable Y In this research work satisfaction. Data processed using software SPSS 23 for windows to produce a physical work environment to job satisfaction indicates that the value of T 4.944 significantly 0,000 < 0.05. Non Physical work environment variable on work satisfaction T value of 6.297 with significant 0,000 < 0.05. The hypothesis Examiner (test F) jointly 0,000 < 0, 05meaning that Ho is received, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between a variable of physical work environment and a non-physical work environment to employee work satisfaction at PT. Get PDFThe use of energy is important today due to the rapid decrease in fossil energy entire the world. The world should consider of using energy as efficient as possible. Waste energy from engines and other energy converters is released as hot air in the atmosphere. Waste heat energy is able to recover by using water heat exchanger. This research aims to experimentally examining the use of waste heat from room air conditioner as home energy source. A cross flow concentric pipe heat exchanger is used as the condenser for a room air conditioner to cover the exhaust energy from the condenser. The results shows that by using a concentric pipe condenser, the exhaust energy is benefit to decrease the paid energy equal to Rp. 57.000,- monthly electricity bill. The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic make company profits always decline. This is closely related to the cost behavior and break-even of multiple products in planning short-term profits. The population used in this study is the cost behavior and break-even of multi-products in the short-term profit planner in 2020. The sampling used is purposive sampling. The type and design of the research is descriptive research. Based on the results of the research, the company has not implemented the concept of cost behavior which separates variable costs and fixed costs with the income statement in the multi-product breakeven calculation has not been prepared by variable costing. The conclusion from this study states that companies must apply the concept of cost behavior that separates fixed costs and variable costs. THE CORRELATION READING COMPREHENSION AND WRITING ABILITY OF STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 11 PALEMBANG
Get PDFThis study focused on finding out the correlation between reading comprehension and writing ability. This study was conducted using correlation research design. The population of this study investigated the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 11 Palembang with the total number were 482 students. In selecting the sample of this study, cluster random sampling technique was implemented. There were 147 students participated as the sample. The writer collected data by using two instruments from reading and writing test. The result of this study showed that the level of students’ comprehension reading was in the average category. The analysis result showed the mean score of reading comprehension was 61.80. The level of students’ writing ability was in the average category. The analysis result showed the mean score of students’ writing ability was 6.2713. In analyzing the data of the correlation analysis it was found that there is a significant correlation between reading comprehension and writing ability. The results of this study showed that the correlation coefficient level between reading comprehension and writing ability was 0.323 with the significance value 0.000 that lower alpha value 0.05. UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS’ READING INTEREST AND READING COMPREHENSION OF TRIDINANTI UNIVERSITY PALEMBANG
Get PDFReading comprehension is an active thinking process that is depended not only comprehension skill but the students’ experience and prior knowledge comprehension involves understanding the vocabulary, seeing the relationship among words and concept making judgment and evaluating. The study was aimed to find the significant correlation and contribution between reading interest and reading comprehension. Fifty four students of Undergraduate EFL students of Tridinnati University Palembang became the sample of the study. The data was gained from students’ reading interest questionnaire and their reading comprehension test. In analyzing the data, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used. The result showed that the correlation coefficient level between reading interest and reading comprehension was 0.477 with the sig. value 0.000, it means that there was a significant correlation between reading interest and reading comprehension of undergraduate EFL students Tridinanti University Palembang. Then, reading interest gave contribution to reading comprehension as much as 18.6%.Key words: reading interest, reaing comprehension
THE CORRELATION BETWEEN DIGITAL LITERACY AND ENGLISH PROFICIENCY OF UNIKA MUSI CHARITAS FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
Get PDFThis study aimed to discover the correlation between digital literacy and English proficiency of first-year students at Unika Musi Charitas. One hundred seventy three students were involved by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaire which elaborates students’ digital literacy as well as the score of their English proficiency. To analyze the results, Pearson Product Moment formula was used to measure the relationship between the two discussed variables. Findings were described into the results of participants’ English proficiency level, digital literacy insight as well as the correlation test. Viewing from the proficiency level, 64.2% of the participants were categorized as basic users which can perform limited language use on daily topics. In addition, the mean score of their digital literacy insight was 66.99 with the maximum and minimum scores were 100 and 10 descriptively. The correlation test obtained significant correlation between digital literacy and English proficiency with Pearson correlation value of 0.394 at significance level of 0.000. This strongly confirms that the ability of using digital things and language carry positive intercourse.Keywords: Digital literacy, English proficienc

Get PDFThe influence of entrepreneurship education is one of the important factors to foster and develop potential students' interest in entrepreneurship. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of motivation and entrepreneurial mentality partially or simultaneously on the interest in entrepreneurship at students of the Management Study Program at Tridinanti University, Palembang. The number of samples used was 467 students of Management Study Program class of 2013. Data sources obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, then analyzed using the classic assumption test, multiple regression, testing individual hypotheses (t test), F test and determinant coefficient. From the test results show that Motivation and Mental Entrepreneurship partially or simultaneously have a significant effect on Mental for Entrepreneurship in Management Study Program students, Tridinanti University, Palembang. The magnitude of the value of the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0.823 which implies that the magnitude of the influence of Entrepreneurial Motivation and Mentalism on Interest for Entrepreneurship is 82.3%, while the remaining 17.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
