MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN MENERAPKAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF MODEL CATUR ASRAMA PADA SISWA KELAS VI SD NEGERI 1 ASTINA SINGARAJA
This study was aimed at improving students achievement in social studies and civiceducation classes through implementing Hindus Cooperative learning strategy (a model of CaturAsrama) for students grade VI of SD Negeri 1 Astina, Singaraja. To achieve this objective thisstudy was conducted by using classroom action research. There were two teachers who practicedthis strategy, those were social studies and civic education teacher. The result of this studyrevealed that the use of Catur Asrama as a cooperative learning strategy could improve studentsachievement (concept attainment, attitude, and presentation skills) in social studies andcivic education classes for students grade VI of SD Negeri 1 Astina Singaraja. The implicationof this study need elementary school teachers continually to develop and study about the possibilityof using Catur Asrama as a cooperative learning strategy in order to enhance elementaryschool students achievement.Keywords: Student, Cooperative Learning, Catur Asram

Fundamental changes in education, among others, related to management problems,which was originally centralized now directed to become decentralization. This effort is done bythe government no other aim to break the quality of education Indonesia has always been troubled,so the quality of education in Indonesia is still relatively low. Implementing decentralized nationaleducation throughout Indonesia seems to be experiencing difficulties, because there are a numberof problems and obstacles that need to be addressed.Decentralization of education is essentially an acknowledgment that the educational processwill not work well if everything is controlled from the center. Education is a process whereby itinvolves the interaction between inputs and the environment. Decentralization means thateducational control holders at the grassroots level will play a larger role. This situation willencourage creativity and improvisation in carrying out education. So there will be a continuouseffort to improve the quality of education. National education needs to be organized by buildinga common commitment, especially the government involving the community and the family toparticipate in the role of decentralization of national education

This study aims to increase the activity and learning achievement of students with theapplication of the Cooperative Learning Model Student Facilitator and Explaining Type (SFAE)can improve Class V Student Achievement in Semester II PKN Subjects at Elementary SchoolNo.8 Bungkulan 2017/2018 Academic Year. Cooperative learning model type Student Facilitatorand Explaining is a learning model that places students to present ideas or opinions to otherstudents so that students will be trained to have speaking skills and provide new ideas individuallythat can improve student learning achievement. The implementation of the Cooperative learningmodel of Student Facilitator and Explaining Type (SFAE) can improve student learning activitiesin the fifth grade elementary school students. 8 May 2017/2018 school year. The average learningactivity of students increased from 56.4 in the sufficient category in the first cycle to 75.0 in theActive category in the second cycle. The application of cooperative learning model type studentfacilitator and explaining (SFAE) can improve student learning achievement in class V SD No. 8May 2017/2018 school year.
