Penggunaan Zeolit Sebagai Media Penyaring Pada Pengolahan Air LimbahDomestik
Sand filter is frequentlyused to treat contaminated water. Channel filter system is a modification of sand filter where the channel is shaped thus the land requirement could be minimized, water is flowed horizontallyfrom intial tank to finaltank through sand filter. Employing the channel filter to treat domestic wastewateris capable of reducing E. Coli up to 98.14%, increasing DO up to 27% and decreasing BOD5 up to 27%. Unfortunately, the final content of E.Coli after treatment process completed is still unacceptable for drinking water. Several options are available to improve the performance of the channel filter system. One of the promising alternativesis modifying the filter medium. Zeolite is natural material that has been utilized to improvewater quality based on several parameters such as Fe, Mn, organic materials, CO and others. Application of zeolite to diminish E. Coli is a challenge. This paper will investigate the effectiveness of zeolite to lower E. Coli contained in domestic wastewater . Zeolite was added to sand filter where thefraction of zeolite is about 5%. Two kind of zeolite-sand combination was implemented that is arranged and mixed zeolite-sand. Wastewater containing E.Coli was then put in the initial tank. Through the hole createdin the tank, wastewater then flowed passing through the combined zeolite-sand filter and accumulated in the final tank. Both E. Coli from initial and final tank was measured to compute treatment efficiency. The result showsE. Coli decreases up to99.99%, BOD5and DO decrease more than 71% and 66% respectively. It can be concluded that 5% addition ofzeolite is able to improve treatment efficiency ofsand filter
Analisis Pengaruh Rx Level Terhadap Kecepatan Download Data Pada Teknologi GPRS di PT XL Axiata Tbk. Purwokerto
Data transfer speed on GPRS’s technology isaffected by the present of some obstacles between sender’s side and recipient’s side. Those obstacles cause propagation loss that affect the reduction of power level value (rx level). The reduction will affect the data speed. The lower rx level’s value means the lower dataspeed. This researchwas done by doing drive test on BTS North Purwokerto and BTS Tambaksogra to measure the amount of power measured (Pr) andthe download data speed on GPRS’s network. The measuredpower level (Pr) was normalized to get rx level value. Regression analysis was done to get the relation between the download speed and the rx level value. Theanalysis has resulted in a model: download speed = 4.1 (rx level) 0.459 , with R^2 = 0.380. Correlation analysis shows high correlationbetween rx level and download speed (r = 0.608)
Pengaruh Penggunaan Calciumstearate Terhadapnilai Absorbsi Dan Arus Macrocel Pada Beton Bertulang
Bridge structure in the USA amounted to 577,000 units and as many as 134,000 units (23% of the total bridge) against damage caused by corrosion. This damage requires repairs at a cost not less than U.S.$ 90.9 billion. This damage is similar to the events in Indonesia. This research was performed by use of the calcium Stearate to neutralize reinforcement corrosion in reinforced concrete. Calcium Stearate will react with the cement hydration reaction during the process underway. The result of this reaction is physically looks like a candle. This compound would cover and fill the capillaries when water evaporates in the fresh concrete. This layer does not absorb and impermeable to water and corrosive compounds. So that these compounds caused corrosion of the reinforcement can not penetrate reinforced concrete. The ultimate goal of using calcium Stearate is to increase the service life of aging structures in corrosive areas such as building docks, bridges andrigid layer on the highway. The results showed that the use of calcium Stearate concrete with fly ash at 0% have a tendency of lowering the rate of corrosion of reinforcement and inhibit corrosion. Calcium Stearate with a dose of 2 kg per m3 of concrete can decrease makrocell value amounting to 67%. While on the concrete with fly ash 40%, the addition of 2 kg of calcium Stearate cause makrocell value decreased by 85%
Hitungan Diameter Pipa pada Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum sederhana
Drinking water sector is one of the public services which is connected tightly to poverty decrease. A small community water supply is more suitable if it uses a simple system which does not need sophisticated planning and construction. Nevertheless, hydraulics calculation should be always conducted accurately because it will influence water supply performance. In this case, pipe hydraulics needs more overview because system reliability depends on pipe capacity.This study discusses two methods of pipe diameter calculation at a simple drinking water supply system. For planning assistance, Directorate General Cipta Karya-Public Work Ministry issued Technical Guideline Book for Simple Drinking Water Construction in 2007. One of its chapters discusses about a method to find pipe diameter based on several tables available, but it is not given an explanation about basic theory of the tables so there is a doubt for planners. For the reason, comparison between the use of the tables (Juknis Method) and Darcy-Weisbach Formula to calculate pipe diameter will be discussed. Data from 5 villages in Kebumen Regency will be utilized to support analysis.The result of procedure for making comparison shows that there is no significant difference (less than 4%) between the result of calculation by Darcy-Weisbach Formula and Juknis Method with accurate interpolation. Both of the methods can be applied with its advantages and disadvantages. It is suggested that Darcy-Weisbach Formula is always implemented to re-check toward pipe diameter which is available in the market and will be used in the system
Pengaruh Pembuatan Terasering Pada Lereng Terhadap Potensi Longsor
Indonesia is one country with the population growth rate is large. This condition will require the opening of new land for settlement. Limited land sometimes requires people to open new land on the slope areas. Opening of new land on the slopes will use the method of cutting the slope to get flat land (terrace). Cutting this slope would result in increased potential for landslides due to slope stability menurunya. Evaluation needs to be done at the opening of new land on the slopes, where the slope should remain stable after the porch is made. This research was conducted to evaluate the maximum terrace width was in stable condition. The model used in this study is a plane strain by the count to element method. The main purpose of this research is to obtain the maximum terrace width formula on a slope. Dilakukan analysis on three ).�), cohesion, (c) and angle of internal friction (�variables, namely slope( Variations to the variable angle between 30o-55o intervals 5o, 5 kN/m2 cohesion between-25 kN/m2 with intervals 5 kN/m2, and internal friction angle between 20o-45o intervals 5o. Maximum terrace width count conducted for each combination of these variables. Formulation of the maximum terrace width is done by multiple linear regression methods, linear nin and a combination of both. Determining the best formula is based on the value of the correlation koofisien. Results formulations have two formulasis the formula for the maximum slope of the natural slope and a maximum width of the terrace on a slope
Analisis Pengaruh Down Tilt Antena Untuk Mengurangi Kegagalanhandover Pada Jaringan Seluler GSM PT. Indosat, Tbk. Purwokerto
Handover is a process to guarantee the MS (Mobile Station) communication connection while moving for one cell to another cell. There are 10,89%-12,04% handover failure occurred between BTS Cilongok sector 1 and BTS Karanglewas sector 3 of PT. Indosat, Tbk,Purwokerto, whereas, thestandard is 2%-3%. Based on KPI (Key Performance Indicator) data most of handover failure is caused by long overlapping coverage (1,2851 km) as could be seen in BSC Controlled Inc. HO Fail at the amount of 9,69%-10,24%. Long overlapping coverage also reduce Rx Level signal quality to-94 dBm (threshold-90 dBm), and Rx Qual is 2,26 (it is still good enough if comparing to the threshold 5). Down tilt antenna method is used to overcome the overlapping coverage. Calculation result of down tilt antenna points out that the precise down tilt antenna to be applied in BTS Cilongok sector 1 is 3º and BTS Karanglewas sector 3 is 2,5º with number of overlapping coverage 78,2 m (appropriate to reference of PT. Indosat, Tbk Purwokerto�100 m). After down tilting antenna indicates that there is a reduction of handover failure because of overlapping coverage reduce to 0,01%- 0,02%, and total handover failure reduce to 0,62%- 1,39% . Meanwhile there is a raising in signal quality,it is Rx Level become-75 dBm and thebetter size of Rx Qual is 1

This proposed research concern with application of continuous Hopfield neural networks for shortest path routing in a given map, in this case Purwokerto city’s map had choosen as an example. The method that was used in this research based on the ability of continuous Hopfield neural networks for representing their neuron as choosen vertices in the given map. The result shows that the networks can produce optimal route for such source and destination node pairs. Activity of land use at roadside oftentimes generates trouble in the form of resistance that cause to road and street performance. Hair industries at Jalan Jend. A. Yani caused friction side that influence street performance. This research identify hair industry’s worker characteristic by questioner method. The result tell us how distance influence ammount of worker. Mode preference of worker is influenced by their total revenue and gender. In gender case, there’s nothing can influence mode choice for man. But in woman side, travel time and distance influence mode choice. We knew that worker movement is short movement from their choices of mode and their transport cost. Tinjauan Kekuatan Sistem Penyangga Terowongan dengan Menggunakan Metode Elemen Hingga
In the developing countries like Indonesia, especially in the big cities like Jakarta, tunnel constructions should be considered to solve traffic problems. Besides, geological and topographical condition in Indonesia that is rich of mine materials making tunnel construction will be developed in the future. But then, to the present time, there are too many cases of failure of tunnel construction in several countries. This failure caused by supporting system of tunnel doesn’t capable to support the construction. Based on this  phenomenon, it was necessary to research about review of supporting system strength of tunnel construction.Stability analysis of mine tunnel that belongs to P.T. Aneka Tambang Tbk, located in Pongkor Mountain, Bogor, West Java, would be done in this research. This analysis was conducted with numerical method using plaxis 3D tunnel software. Slice of tunnel along 15 meters of length will be analyzed in this research. This slice would be divided into three step of excavation. Mohr Coloumb material model were used in soil material. Whereas linear elastic model were used in other materials likes shotcrete, rock bolt and steel sets. Three variation conditions of tunnels would be considered in this research namely tunnel without supporting system, tunnel with original supporting system (same as in the research location), and tunnel with Q system supporting system. In this research, examination would be done for the change of displacement of the tunnel construction in consequence of the three conditions above.The results of this research show that the installation of supporting system reduced displacement of the tunnel significantly. Average decreasing of displacement value as a result of the original supporting system is 12.5 cm (46.30 %). Whereas, average decreasing of displacement as a result of the Q system supporting system is 9.25 cm (34.26%). Although not as strength as original supporting system, the Q system supporting system deserves to be considered in supporting system analysis

Using associative memories properties of discrete Hopfield neural networks we can store a set of data patterns as a memories. The basic concepts of using discrete Hopfield neural networks as associative memories is to interpret the system’s neurons evolution as a movement of input pattern toward the one stored pattern most resembling the input pattern.
