No full textEl Batán is a neighborhood located on slopes with winding streets and staggered buildings which have problems in the mobility and legibility of the sector. Due to the aforementioned, and urban plan has been developed that seeks to solve the previously raised inconveniences. The main concepts used for the understanding and investigation of the neighborhood are: diversity, porosity, permeability and legibility through which different socio-cultural and environmental dynamics are promoted that foster the creation of safe public spaces in which there is social cohesion. The proposed conceptual proposal divides the sector into sub zones called clusters, within which is the Río Coca cluster, whose proposal is to articulate various nodes that becomes squares and parks that will complement public spaces, thus seeking to increase the sense of identity and belonging in the users. Within this cluster, different facilities were proposed, including the planning of a Multi-Family Residence that will be located between the following routes: Ave. Río Coca, Street De los Colimes, Street Isla Marchena and Street Joel Polanco, in order to supply the population projected towards the year 2040 whose justification lies in a population analysis of the users, their family compositions and needs. The project will additionally have a permeable public space that gives residents the feeling of security, thus promoting the establishment of floating and permanent users within it.El Batán es un barrio situado sobre pendientes con calles serpenteantes y edificaciones abalconadas las cuales generan problemas en la movilidad y legibilidad del sector. Por lo mencionado anteriormente se ha desarrollado un plan urbano que busca solucionar los inconvenientes previamente planteados. Los conceptos principales utilizados para la comprensión e investigación del barrio son: diversidad, porosidad, permeabilidad y legibilidad mediante los cuales se promoverán diferentes dinámicas socio culturales y medioambientales que fomentarán la creación de espacios públicos seguros en los cuales exista cohesión social. La propuesta conceptual planteada divide al sector en Sub zonas denominadas clústeres, dentro de ellas se sitúa el clúster Río Coca cuya propuesta articula diversos nodos que generan plazas y parques que complementarán los espacios públicos buscando así incrementar el sentido de identidad y pertenencia en los usuarios. Dentro de este clúster se plantearon diferentes equipamientos entre los cuales destaca la planificación de una Residencia Multifamiliar que se ubicará entre las siguientes vías: Avenida Río Coca, Calle de los colimes, Calle Isla Marchena y Calle Joel Polanco, con el fin de abastecer a la población proyectada hacia el año 2040 cuya justificación radica en un análisis poblacional de los usuarios, su composición familiar y necesidades. El proyecto además plantea mantener un espacio público permeable que brinde a los residentes la sensación de seguridad, fomentando así el establecimiento de usuarios flotantes y permanentes dentro del mismo

No full textThis document focuses on analyzing the possibility of developing a business in the financial sector, specifically in the creation of an investment and trust business fund, which contemplates the central idea of promoting savings among private company workers, which is why, that the name of Stay Safe is chosen to convey the security message in the administration of customer savings. The positioning of Stay Safe focuses on people who work in public and private companies, to offer them a long-term savings plan where their money is invested in low-risk investment instruments and the best profitability in the market. The marketing mix budget has a greater availability of resources in year 1 with a value of 975 dollars annually with a concentration of activities in social networks and promotional material, from year 2 600 dollars is allocated annually for activities in networks social. The organizational structure is guided by the General Manager who has the functions of leading the company with the support of the Commercial Manager who has the task of projecting the flow of investments and managing the marketing plan. With respect to the initial investment, a value of 24,718 dollars is determined that will be financed with the contribution of the shareholders in 60 percent of the mentioned amount and 40 percent by means of a bank loan with a fixed quota of 197,18 dollars. The projection of the income statements shows net income from year 1 and with a constant growth until year 5, this allows the valuation of the project to be favorable because it obtains a net present value of 164,069 dollars and internal rate of return of 102, 93 percent in the flow of the investor, this result allows to recommend the execution of the business plan.El presente documento se concentra en analizar la posibilidad de desarrollar un negocio en el sector financiero, específicamente en la creación de un fondo de inversión y negocio fiduciario, que contemple la idea central de fomentar el ahorro entre los trabajadores de empresas privadas, es por ello, que se escoge el nombre de Stay Safe para transmitir el mensaje de seguridad en la administración de los ahorros de los clientes. El posicionamiento de Stay Safe se concentra en las personas que laboran en empresas públicas y privadas, para ofrecerles un plan de ahorro de largo plazo donde su dinero sea invertido en instrumentos de inversión con bajo riesgo y la mejor rentabilidad en el mercado. El presupuesto de marketing mix tiene una mayor disponibilidad de recursos en el año 1 con un valor de 975 dólares anuales con una concentración de actividades en redes sociales y material promocional, a partir, del año 2 se destina 600 dólares anuales para las actividades en redes sociales. La estructura organizacional está guiada por el Gerente General que tiene las funciones de liderar la empresa con el apoyo del Jefe Comercial quien tiene la tarea de proyectar el flujo de inversiones y gestionar el plan de mercadeo. Respecto a la inversión inicial, se determina un valor de 24.718 dólares que será financiado con el aporte de los accionistas en el 60 por ciento del monto mencionado y 40 por ciento mediante un crédito bancario con una cuota fija de 197,18 dólares. La proyección de los estados de resultados muestra utilidad neta desde el año 1 y con un crecimiento constante hasta el año 5, esto permite que la valoración del proyecto sea favorable porque obtiene un valor actual neto de 164.069 dólares y tasa interna de retorno de 102,93 por ciento en el flujo del inversionista, este resultado obtenido permite recomendar la ejecución del plan de negocios

No full textThe insurance situation in Quito is quite complex and extensive. Insurers between 2015 and 2018 have experienced a considerable increase in their profits. But in recent times it is contrasted with a precipitous drop in insurance contracting which has caused their income to plummet. The situations vary. Many people have chosen not to buy insurance, while others simply find it a little unnecessary. The reality is that there is also a universe of contractors who have had problems with insurance policies. The non-payment of compensation has been a point for legal problems. This research will address the issues surrounding insurers, which entities regulate them and what is the definition of insurance, as well as its usefulness and how these have evolved over the years in the country. Another main objective is to show how the insurance market works, its perspectives and what is around insurance through different journalistic resources such as the chronicle and the interview.La situación de los seguros en Quito es bastante compleja y extensa. Las aseguradoras entre el año 2015 y 2018 han sufrido un incremento considerable en sus ganancias. Pero en estos últimos tiempos se contrasta con una caída estrepitosa en la contratación de seguros lo que ha hecho que sus ingresos se desplomen. Las situaciones varían. Muchas personas han optado por no contratar un seguro, mientras que otras simplemente les parece un aspecto poco necesario. La realidad es que existe, también, un universo de contratantes que han tenido problemas con las pólizas de seguros. El no pago de indemnizaciones ha constado un punto para líos legales. Identificación de pseudomonas spp., causantes del “desorden del peridermo” (pink eye) en solanum tuberosum, en tres provincias del territorio ecuatoriano
No full textThe periderm disorder, pink eye or potato conjunctivitis, is an alteration known to cause damage to the tube in its pre-harvest, harvest and post-harvest stage. The visual symptomatology specifically shows on the surfaces of Solanum tuberosum, a pink coloration in the form of spots, extreme rot and swollen or rough areas in the plant. The disease has been related to Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas marginalis and affected the ability to naturally produce siderophores, known as pyocyanins and pyoverdins. Fluorescein can be detected under UV and natural light. Biochemically it is characterized by being catalase and oxidase positive and Gram negative. A determined sampling in symptomatology was performed in the three main potato producing provinces of Ecuador; Pichincha, Carchi and Chimborazo. Subsequently, the samples were cultured in the Pseudomonas selective medium; B King Agar. Through visual recognition b UV means of light, traditional biochemical tests and BIOLOG technology, selecting the bacteria of interest. In addition, the DNA extraction of the bacteria was carried out by thermal lysis of the pure strains. For amplification, samples with absorption between 300 to 1000 nm will be used. The first universal 16S with its primers 27F and 149R was used, in addition, the enzyme was Taq polymerase. Finally, a 1.5 porcent agarose gel was made in 0.5 porcent TBEX buffer and Invitrogen ™ SYBR ™ Safe ™ DNA Gel Stain and the Invitrogen ™ Low Mass Ladder molecular marker was used. The positive results were sent to Macrogen for sequencing and the sequences obtained were analyzed using bioinformatics programs and databases; Generous, Blast N and Mega. The results obtained from the amplification, electrophoresis and sequencing of the determined strains affirmed the presence of Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas marginalis obtaining two and five strains respectively, specific in the samples that present symptomatology related to the periderm disorder, with greater incidence in the province of Carchi. Kochs postulates affirm the pathogenicity produced by the two bacteria in inoculated tubes and by sequencing they are verified again. Key words: Solanum tuberosum, Pink eye, the periderm disorder, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Pseudomonas marginalis, Koch postulates.El desorden del peridermo, Pink eye o conjuntivitis de la papa, es una alteración conocida por producir un deterioro en el tubérculo en su estadio de precosecha, cosecha y postcosecha. La sintomatología visual que se presentó específicamente en las superficies de Solanum tuberosum, fue una coloración rosada en forma de manchas, pudrición extrema y áreas hinchadas o ásperas en la planta. La enfermedad ha sido relacionada con Pseudomonas fluorescens y Pseudomonas marginalis y poseen la capacidad de producir naturalmente sideróforos, conocidos como piocianinas y pioverdinas. La fluoresceína puede ser detectada bajo luz UV y natural. Bioquímicamente se caracterizaron por ser catalasa y oxidasa positiva y Gram negativas. Se realizó un muestreo basándose en sintomatología en las tres principales provincias productoras de papa del Ecuador; Pichincha, Carchi y Chimborazo. Posterior a ello, se cultivó las muestras en el medio selectivo de Pseudomonas; B King Agar. Mediante reconocimiento visual a través de luz UV, pruebas bioquímicas tradicionales y la tecnología BIOLOG, se seleccionó las bacterias de interés. Adicionalmente, se llevó a cabo la extracción del ADN de las bacterias mediante lisis térmica de las cepas puras. Para la amplificación se utilizaron las muestras con una absorbancia entre 300 a 1000 nanometro. Se empleó el primer universal 16S con sus cebadores 27F y 149R, adicionalmente, la enzima fue Taq polimerasa. Finalmente, se realizó un gel de 1.5 por ciento de agarosa en buffer TBEX al 0.5 por ciento e Invitrogen™ SYBR™ Safe™ DNA Gel Stain y se empleó el marcador molecular Low Mass Ladder de Invitrogen™. Los resultados positivos se mandaron a Macrogen para su secuenciación y las secuencias obtenidas, se las analizó mediante programas bioinformáticos y bases de datos; Geneious, Blast N y Mega. Los resultados conseguidos a partir de la amplificación, electroforesis y secuenciación de las cepas aisladas afirmaron la presencia de Pseudomonas fluorescens y Pseudomonas marginalis obteniendo 2 y 5 cepas respectivamente, específicamente en las muestras que presentaban sintomatología relacionadas con el desorden del peridermo, con mayor incidencia en la provincia de Carchi. Los postulados de Koch afirmaron la patogenicidad que producen las dos bacterias en tubérculos inoculados y mediante secuenciación se verificó nuevamente. No full textThis business plan mentions the creation of a video security company for stadiums and massive shows, aimed at entities that own stadiums with a capacity of more than 10,000 spectators, soccer teams and companies dedicated to organizing events within of the Ecuadorian territory. The purpose of this project is to eradicate violent and illegal acts by implementing biometric cameras whose main function is facial recognition. This project is supported by an analysis of the environment that points to Ecuador, with the exception of the insular region, as a potential market. One of the factors that justifies carrying out the project is the high percentage of violence within stadiums; in addition, the technological trends that require updating by teams and companies. Before doing the market research, a delimitation of the target segment was made, based on its purchasing power and the trends adopted, potential customers showed their acceptance of the service / product, highlighting the innovation and strong impact that this entails. This study provided the opportunity to establishing both the business opportunity and the definition of the value proposition, which support the development of marketing strategies based on the product, price, place and promotion. The company, on the other hand, defined achievable and measurable objectives for its fulfillment in the medium and long term; the organizational structure according to the size of the company, the logistics and operational planning that support the commercial activities of the business. Finally, the results obtained after carrying out the financial evaluation reflect the viability of both the project and the investor using the TIR and VAN methods with a 5-year projection. In addition, the investment required to implement this titling plan will be financed 50 percent by the shareholders and the remaining amount by a bank loan.El presente plan de negocios hace mención a la creación de una empresa de video seguridad para los estadios y espectáculos masivos, dirigida a entidades dueñas de estadios con un aforo mayor a 10.000 espectadores, a equipos de fútbol y empresas dedicadas a la organización de eventos dentro del territorio ecuatoriano. Este plan tiene como finalidad erradicar actos violentos e ilícitos mediante la implementación de cámaras biométricas cuya función principal es el reconocimiento facial. Este proyecto se respalda en un análisis del entorno que señala al Ecuador, exceptuando la región insular, como mercado potencial. Uno de los factores que justifica la realización del proyecto es el alto porcentaje de violencia dentro de los estadios; además, de las tendencias tecnológicas que exigen una actualización por parte de los equipos y empresas. Anterior a la investigación de mercado, se realizó una delimitación del segmento objetivo, en base a su poder adquisitivo y las tendencias que se adoptan, los clientes potenciales mostraron su aceptación frente al servicio/ producto, destacando la innovación y fuerte impacto que este conlleva. Este estudio dio paso a establecer tanto la oportunidad del negocio como la definición de la propuesta de valor, mismos que respaldan el desarrollo de las estrategias de marketing en base al producto, precio, plaza y promoción. La empresa, por otro lado, definió objetivos alcanzables y medibles para su cumplimiento en un mediano y largo plazo; la estructura organizacional conforme la dimensión de la compañía, la logística y planificación operativa que sustentan las actividades comerciales del negocio. Para finalizar, los resultados conseguidos después de realizar la evaluación financiera, reflejan la viabilidad tanto del proyecto como del inversionista mediante los métodos TIR Y VAN con una proyección de 5 años. No full textThe present work focuses on the study of the viability of a business plan for the creation of a company responsible for horse racing established in the canton Chone for those people who own horses with tastes for races and exhibitions of horses. The project is developed in the parishes belonging to the canton Chone for possessing characteristics of the target market. Since they are classification races in the parishes, they have a high level of competence, which is why it has been established that there will be a winners race that will take place on festive dates of the canton. For this reason, different investigations were carried out using tools such as PEST, PORTER and analysis of the EFE matrix to determine the opportunities and threats that may influence the business plan. In addition, qualitative and quantitative investigations were conducted, such as interviews with experts, a focus group and surveys to determine potential clients. Subsequently, a project structure was established in order to meet the expectations of our target market, channeling horse races.El presente trabajo se enfoca en el estudio de la viabilidad de un plan de negocio para la creación de una empresa encargada de realizar carrera de caballos establecido en el cantón Chone para aquellas personas que poseen caballos con gustos por las carreras y exhibiciones. El proyecto es desarrollado en las parroquias pertenecientes al cantón Chone por poseer características de mercado objetivo. Al ser carreras de clasificación en las diferentes parroquias cuentan con diferentes niveles de competencia, por lo cual se ha establecido que se realice una carrera de ganadores en fechas festivas del cantón. Por esta razón se realizó diferentes investigaciones utilizando herramientas como PEST, PORTER y análisis de la matriz EFE para llegar a determinar las oportunidades y amenazas que pueden influir en el plan de negocio. Además, se realizaron investigaciones cualitativas y cuantitativas como entrevistas a expertos, grupo focal y encuestas para determinar los posibles clientes. No full textThe proposal of the Faculty of Architecture, developed throughout this document, starts from an urban, social, theoretical and conceptual base. That together they establish that the main objective of the equipment will depend on the dynamics of the user, establishing spaces for dialogue and learning where the tangible elements of architecture are the protagonists. Throughout the document, a series of urban-scale conditions are presented that respond to problems and dynamics of the study area where the equipment available for this degree work is developed. Once the nature of the sector is understood, the equipment is defined and characterized, in addition to presenting the justification for it. A series of historical, conceptual, user and reference analyzes are proposed that determine the objective of this work. Architecture can be defined as: the artistic expression of science through technique. The technique or, in other words, the construction, is the process of materialization of ideas and this is an aspect closely related to the gestation of architecture. It is impossible to imagine architecture without starting from this concept since as Vitrubio points out, construction is a fundamental part of architecture, being the most sublime way of manifesting it has. Having understood the importance of technique in architecture and given the undeniable need for architecture students to have a real repository of different technical aspects involved in construction, this leads the building to be shown not only as a succession of classrooms but rather as a kind of interactive museum where, as the students go through and appropriate the facilities, they can recognize, identify and learn about these aspects. In this way, the concept "the building that teaches" was born, where the elements that make up the architectural piece are responsible for transmitting knowledge by becoming a source of consultation for students of different aspects involved in the technique.La propuesta de la Facultad de Arquitectura, desarrollada a lo largo del presente documento, parte de una base urbana, social, teórica y conceptual. Que en conjunto establecen que el objetivo principal del equipamiento dependerá de las dinámicas propias del usuario, estableciendo espacios de dialogo y aprendizaje donde los elementos tangibles de la arquitectura son los protagonistas. A lo largo del documento se presenta una serie de condiciones de escala urbana que dan respuesta a problemáticas y dinámicas del área de estudio donde se desarrolla el equipamiento dispuesto para este trabajo de titulación. Ya entendida la naturaleza del sector, se define y caracteriza el equipamiento, además de presentar la justificación de este. Se plantean una serie de análisis tanto históricos, conceptuales, de usuarios y de referentes que determinan el objetivo del presente trabajo. La arquitectura se puede definir como: la expresión artística de la ciencia a través de la técnica. La técnica o, en otras palabras, la construcción, es el proceso de materialización de las ideas y esto es un aspecto íntimamente relacionado con la gestación de la arquitectura. Es imposible imaginar arquitectura sin partir de este concepto ya que como señala Vitrubio, la construcción es parte fundamental de la arquitectura, siendo la más sublime forma de manifestarse que tiene. Ya entendida la importancia que tiene la técnica en la arquitectura y ante la innegable necesidad de que los estudiantes de arquitectura puedan contar con un repositorio real de diferentes aspectos técnicos involucrados en la construcción, esto lleva al edificio a mostrarse no sólo como una sucesión de aulas sino como una suerte de museo interactivo donde a medida que los estudiantes recorren y se apropian de las instalaciones pueden ir reconociendo, identificando y aprendiendo sobre estos aspectos. De esta forma nace el concepto “el edificio que enseña”, dónde los elementos que componen a la pieza arquitectónica son los responsables de trasmitir conocimiento al convertirse en una fuente de consulta para los estudiantes de diferentes aspectos involucrados en la técnica
Evaluación de la calidad física y fisiológica de la semilla de mortiño (vaccinium floribundum) de los andes ecuatorianos
No full textMortiño (Vaccinium floribundum), are fruits in the form of blue berries, natives of he Andean moors, of great importance for their properties nutritional and its high antioxidant content. Currently, this species is is at risk of extinction due to the burning of moors, the expansion of the agricultural and livestock frontier causing genetic erosion of the species. For this reason conservation methods are being sought, and been able to demonstrate that the production of plants from in vitro seeds is an alternative to maintain its genetic characteristics throughout the time, therefore, this study aims to assess the physical quality and physiological of the seed, in order to produce seedlings in vitro. The study was carried out with a Completely Random Block Design (DBCA) in factorial arrangement 2 by 8 with 3 repetitions. The factor 1) fruit size (large, greater than 6 mm and small, smaller than 6 mm), and 2) storage at 4 degree celsius for 120 days, with evaluations every 15 d. The variables studied were germination, germination speed, length of seedlings, root number, abnormal seedlings, weight of 100 seeds, empty seeds. The fruits were collected in Pueblo Viejo, province of Carchi. The fruits were sorted, and the seeds were extracted, impurities were removed, disinfected and stored at 4 degree celsius for 120 days. Germination was carried out in a growth chamber at 18 degree celsius, 90 percent relative humidity and 24 hours light. Demonstrating in its results that there are highly significant differences between variable and factors, where the best treatment for the first factor (fruit size) was f1 (large fruit), as it presented higher percentage of germination, seedlings with greater length and number of roots, greater weight in 100 seeds, less vain seeds and more viable. For the factor 2 (storage time), the best treatment was A1 (15 d), where, like the size of the fruit, higher values were obtained with respect to most variables.El mortiño Vaccinium floribundum, son frutos en forma de bayas de color azul, nativos de los páramos andinos, de mucha importancia por sus propiedades nutricionales y su alto contenido antioxidante..
