This is done through an investigation with the use of tools such as the Pest, Porter and EFE matrix respectively, for the collection of information necessary for the opportunities and threats that come from the industry, then the customer análisis is carried out in two ways qualitative and quantitative, of which there are interviews with experts, focus groups and surveys to try to obtain information about this particular market and the needs that are handled. With the information obtained, the business opportunity of the adventure jet ski rental company in the province of Esmeraldas is analyzed. This is why the company ´Wave Tours Experiene´ is created, which is based on the rental of jet skis to live a new experience of safely tourism on the beaches of the green province. The company offers 3 packages which are Tours 3 beaches, Tours 2 beaches and only rent so that customers can choose any of them. For this, very good aquatic equipment and trained personnel are provided to provide the best possible service. That is why the company is especially focused on two target markets which are people from the city of Quito and from the neighboring country Colombia since they are the ones who visit these beaches the most. In addition to all this, the organizational structure was carried out, which allows us to better establish the company to deliver the appropriate service with trained personnel to carry out the business plan. Finally, the financial analysis of the project is carried out, in which all the necessary tools are applied to find out if the project is viable and profitable to recover the investment made.El presente plan de negocios tiene como propósito observar la viabilidad para la creación de una empresa de alquiler de motos acuáticas de aventura en la provincia de Esmeraldas. No full textThis research addressed the topic of social strategies to help children aged 8 to 9 with high capacities to improve interaction with their peers, with the objective of developing and investigating them. Aspects were addressed, such as: main characteristics of high capacities, social skills, cognitive abilities, theories and models that explain the concept of said capacities and main authors who use the term which allowed us to better understand the development of children with great intellect in all areas in which it develops. On the other hand, it was evidenced through the scientific literature and data analysis, the lack of social strategies within the classroom, which in some way has impaired the interaction of these children with their peers and that has generated difficulty in communicating, as well as the lack of training on the part of teachers regarding this issue that has influenced social development. For this reason, the construction of the product of this research was carried out, that is, a guide, which will benefit teachers and children, since it has several social activities applicable in the classroom. In addition, a qualitative methodology will be used, with socio-educational modality with depth of descriptive level and with type of field research, in which several surveys will be applied in order to know a little more about the context of children with high capacities.Esta investigación abordó el tema de estrategias sociales para ayudar a los niños de 8 a 9 años con altas capacidades para mejorar la interacción con sus pares teniendo como objetivo el desarrollo e indagación de las mismas. Se abordó aspectos, tales como: características principales de las altas capacidades, habilidades sociales, habilidades cognitivas, teorías y modelos que explican el concepto de dichas capacidades y principales autores que emplean el término el cual permitió comprender de mejor manera el desenvolvimiento de los niños con gran intelecto en todos los ámbitos en el que se desarrolla. Por otra parte, se evidenció a través de la literatura científica y análisis de datos, la falta de estrategias sociales dentro del aula, que de alguna manera ha perjudicado la interacción de dichos niños con sus pares y que ha generado dificultad para comunicarse, como también la falta de formación por parte de los docentes ante dicho tema que ha influido en el desarrollo social. Por esta razón, se realizó la construcción del producto de esta investigación, es decir, una guía, el cual beneficiará a los docentes y a los niños, puesto que cuenta con varias actividades sociales aplicables en el aula. Además, se empleará una metodología cualitativa, con modalidad socioeducativa con profundidad de nivel descriptiva y con tipo de investigación de campo, en el cual se aplicarán varias encuestas con la finalidad de conocer un poco más sobre el contexto de los niños con altas capacidades

No full textThis document is a compilation of the work carried out during the linking Project Optimizing social enterprises and organizations. This project was carried out by students from the Universidad de Las Américas from a strategic alliance between the Conquito Economic Promotion Agency and the academy. The work team was made up of 2 teachers in charge of the project, 2 Industrial Engineering subjects and approximately 60, who carried out the study and application of improvement tools in 14 enterprises that are part of Conquito and are located in the metropolitan district of Quito. As a first point, an analysis of the initial state of the enterprises was carried out, through the SWOT analysis, which will diagnose and direct its strategic plan in the market. An analysis of the implementation of improvement tools in each undertaking was also carried out, which includes the times for preparing the products, the production or service processes, their resources, materials and personnel responsible for each activity in the process. As part of the results, an analysis of the audits carried out before and after the application of the 5s methodology was carried out, a comparative table is also made that allows understanding the percentage of optimization achieved through the mentioned methodology. As a compilation of the results, a matrix analyzed the improvements achieved by each tool in the undertakings, according to the production or service sector to which they belong. With these values, an optimization matrix of times and movements was made based on the improvement proposal established by the, specifying the percentage of optimization of the students and required production or service times. Finally, bonding experiences are analyzed from the point of view of each participant in the project and their contribution to the development of students in a real environment.El presente documento es una recopilación del trabajo realizado durante el proyecto de vinculación “Optimizando emprendimientos y organizaciones sociales”. Este Proyecto fue realizado por estudiantes de la Universidad de Las Américas a partir de una alianza estratégica entre la Agencia de promoción Económica Conquito y la academia. El equipo de trabajo estuvo integrado por 2 docentes a cargo del proyecto, 2 asignaturas de Ingeniería Industrial y aproximadamente 60 estudiantes, quienes realizaron el estudio y aplicación de herramientas de mejora en 14 emprendimientos que forman parte de Conquito y se encuentran ubicados en el distrito metropolitano de Quito. Como primer punto se realizó un análisis del estado inicial de los emprendimientos, a través del análisis FODA, el cual permitió diagnosticar y direccionar su plan estratégico en el mercado. También se realizó un análisis de la implementación de herramientas de mejora en cada emprendimiento, el cual comprende los tiempos de elaboración de los productos, los procesos de producción o servicio, sus recursos, materiales y personal responsable de cada actividad en el proceso. Como parte de los resultados se realizó un análisis de las auditorías realizadas antes y después de la aplicación de la metodología 5s, también se realiza un cuadro comparativo que permita comprender el porcentaje de optimización alcanzado a través la metodología mencionada. Como recopilación de los resultados, mediante una matriz se analizaron las mejoras alcanzadas por cada herramienta en los emprendimientos, según el sector de producción o servicio al que pertenecen. Con estos valores se realizó una matriz de optimización de tiempos y movimientos en base a la propuesta de mejora establecida por los estudiantes, especificando el porcentaje de optimización de los movimientos y tiempos de producción o servicio requeridos. There are three main types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. In this titling project, products suitable for Type 1 Diabetes, characterized by a lack of insulin, are obtained. Diabetes in Ecuador is the second cause of death and until 2017, we knew 6,873 cases among people over 65 years old, people between 20 and 24 years old, and even in people under one year old. Sugar, people with diabetes have difficulty regulating their blood sugar levels. This is why various substitutes are disclosed, mainly Stevia Rebaudiana A. In addition, the importance of using other flour, dairy and protein substitutes was analyzed.La diabetes, es una enfermedad crónica, producida en el páncreas por la falta o la mala utilización de insulina. Existen tres principales tipos de diabetes: Diabetes tipo 1, Diabetes tipo 2 y Diabetes gestacional. No full textCurrently, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has placed on its red list of endangered species the Charapa Turtle belonging to the genus Podonecmis, classifying it as a vulnerable species, because it is threatened by indiscriminate hunting and commercialization of eggs in their natural habitat, Yasuni National Park. For this reason, the international organization Wildlife Conservation Society (WSC) has been concerned with this species and has developed population monitoring and control programs, however, they currently do not have the advice of a veterinarian who determines that Turtles in protection are healthy before release. This aspect influenced the need to verify the health status of protected animals, so the objective of this study was to perform a histopathological analysis of a population of thirty individuals of charapa turtles (Podonecmis unifilis) belonging to 3 communities (Sani Isla, Nueva Providencia and Indillama) that are part of the WCS conservation program, to determine the health status of the animals prior to their release. The investigation was carried out using 10 randomly chosen neonatal individuals within each community who were sacrificed and subjected to necropsy, from these animals samples of liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen were collected, fixed, stored in 10 percent buffered formalin, processed to obtain histological sheets, and analyzed by light microscopy. Histopathological analysis determined lesions in 2 organs, the liver being the most affected, where a congestive process was observed mainly in the area adjacent to the centrolobular vein and the portal triad in 36 percent of the samples analyzed, a process of lipidosis in 18, and focal fibrotic lesions were also highlighted near the capsule, in the portal vein and in the lobular area in 15 percent. The Sani Isla community presented a greater number of lesions associated with hepatic lipidosis. The pancreas showed congestive areas in the acinar zone by 10 percent. In conclusion, it was determined that the organs analyzed have slight alterations or histopathological findings mainly in the liver and pancreas, lesions related to physiological processes associated with the nutrition and euthanasia of the animals, and there are no infectious processes determining that the organs of the animals analyzed are apparently healthy.La Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza “UICN”, ha colocado en su lista roja de especies en peligro de extinción a la Tortuga Charapa perteneciente al género Podonecmis, clasificándola como especie vulnerable, que esta amenazada por la caza y comercialización indiscriminada de huevos en su hábitat natural, el Parque Nacional Yasuní..

No full textIn the sector that has been chosen for this project there is a lack of a specific place for cultural events to be held. In this sense, its population is not being attended in actuality. The normative of the Administrative Regimen of Floor of Metropolitan district of Quito Code RT-Au, establishes that there has to be cultural equipment of at least 5000 square meters for every 20 000 inhabitants. There are 191.994 inhabitants in this sector, from which it ́s to be concluded that there is a lack of an effective cultural offer.With previous considerations taken into account, it has been chosen to design a cultural centre of scenic arts in an adaptable form, allowing for theatrical activity, cinema projectors and filmmaking possibilities.In order to have a profound understanding of specific requirements for this type of equipment, and its adaptations to meet the needs of the chosen sector, a bibliographical investigation has taken place concerning theater history, film history, and its evolution throughout the years until actuality.Three mass plans were devised and evaluated concerning technical criteria. Among them, the option that best suits the urban environment in which it will operate was chosen. From there, technical, structural, urban, architectural and municipal regulations were considered for the design of the equipment. Materials and lighting were taken into account with special attention regarding the acoustics due to the fact that these are considered to be a fundamental factor in these types of cultural centres.Permeability, the future appropriation of the space by users, lighting, renewable energies and the treatment of waste and wastewater was carefully taken into consideration.Regarding its relationship with its surroundings, the scale that has been chosen allows the structure to articulate with nearby buildings, also the use of materials have been selected to be pleasant and comfortable.Finally, meeting places were included so that the project complements the nearby park for it to be a place of gatherings for the inhabitants of the sector.El sector que rodea al sitio elegido para este proyecto carece actualmente de un lugar para que se realicen eventos culturales. Su población está desatendida en este sentido, de acuerdo a la normativa del Régimen Administrativo del suelo del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, código RT-Au, que establece que debe haber un equipamiento cultural de por lo menos 5000 metros cuadrados por cada 20 000 habitantes. En el sector se encuentran 191.994 habitantes lo que claramente permite concluir que la población está desabastecida en cuanto a una oferta cultural efectiva. Con esta consideración previa se ha optado por el diseño de un Centro Cultural de Artes Escénicas adaptable y que permita actividades teatrales, proyección de cine y que aloje una cinemateca. Para ello Se hizo una investigación de documentos respecto a la historia del teatro, de cine y su evolución a lo largo de los años hasta los escenarios actuales para tener una comprensión profunda de los requerimientos específicos de este tipo de equipamientos y poder adaptarlos al terreno y circunstancias propias del sector elegido. A continuación, se ideó tres planes masa y se los evaluó según criterios técnicos. De entre ellos se eligió la opción que más se ajusta al entorno urbano en el que se va a desenvolver. A partir de allí se consideraron criterios técnicos, estructurales, urbanísticos, arquitectónicos y normativas municipales para el diseño del equipamiento. Se consideró los materiales, la iluminación y se le dio un tratamiento especial a la acústica peque es considerado como en factor fundamental en este tipo de centros culturales. Se cuidaron conceptos como permeabilidad, futura apropiación del espacio por parte de los usuarios, iluminación, energía renovable, y tratamiento de desechos y de aguas lluvias. Respecto de su relación con el entorno se ha elegido la escala que le permita articularse con los edificios de las inmediaciones y el uso de materiales que lo hagan confortable y acogedor. Por último, se incluyó espacios de encuentro y que todo el proyecto se articule al parque aledaño para que sea un sitio de encuentro y parte de la vida cotidiana de los habitantes del sector
Impacto de la actividad física sobre el consumo de alcohol en el Distrito Metropolitano de Quito durante el año 2017
No full textOBJECTIVE: Determining the relationship between physical activity and alcohol consumption in Metropolitan District of Quito. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Retrospective transversal study reviewing data from software Salud al Paso. It was calculated the number of people that had alcohol consuming and from it who do physical activity in general level and by zones or parish. As well, it was analyzed the association between the variable physical activity, alcohol consuming and the confusing variables through Chi2. Finally, it was calculated odds ratios by multiple regression. The analyzed variables were gender, age, IMC, smoker, education and parishes. RESULTS: It was calculated that 7675 people consume alcohol, this represents 14,35 percent, of which 1159 people belong to zonal am 1 (15,10 percent). In the same way, the Chi2 test determined the significant association between the variable alcohol consuming and every variable of the study (p 0,001). Finally, the multiple regression found significant associations with risk factors in the variable, alcoholic beverage (IC 1,436 - 1,759; p 0,001) and parishes, zonal am 2, IC 1,366 - 1,721; p 0,001), zonal am 3 (IC 1,037 - 1,317; p 0,011), zonal am 4 (IC 1,170 - 1,520; p 0,001), and zonal am 9 (IC 1,102 -1, 466; p 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of alcohol consuming was 14,35 percent. The greatest number of cases was found in the zonal am 1 (15,10 percent). There was a significant association between alcohol consuming and every variable of study. The main factors of risk were for people that consume alcoholic beverage, and the zonal administrations 2, 3, 4, 9.OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre la actividad física y el consumo de alcohol en el Distrito Metropolitano de Quito..
