Karakteristik Dan Pergerakan Sebaran Penderita DBD Berdasarkan Geographic Information System Sebagai Bagian Sistem Informasi Surveilans di Kecamatan Karawang Barat Kabupaten Karawang Provinsi Jawa Barat
Abstract. West Karawang is a part of Karawang District that have high case incidence in three years later. This research uses cross sectional study method was conducted that aimed to gain information of mapping DHF endemic region use GIS (Geographic Information sys-tems) as a part of surveillance informatics system 2008. The special goals are to know the spatial aspect of the movement pattern , socio-demographic, larvae index, vector control programs, land systems and precipitation. The results of study are movement pattern of DHF in West Karawang is local, the socio-demographic of sex and marital status there are no special different, group of class age 15 – 44 years old (53,70%), non-formal working (81,48%) is the highest. The socio-demographic of education Senior High School (38,89%) is the highest too. Almost of The housing type permanent (94,44%) is the dominant and the average wide building 50-100 meters (66,67%) is the highest. House index larvae is 55,10% and container larvae index is 15,51%. The vector control program of fogging in study area 70,37% is done and PSN program activity (81,48%) this fact shown that there are many possibility for breeding place in this district. The Use of GIS helps to handle huge of data easily and much more information can be display clearly
Nyamuk Vektor Malaria dan Hubungannya Dengan Aktivitas Kehidupan Manusia Di Indonesia
Abstract. Nyamuk merupakan organisme hidup yang tersebar di berbagai penjuru dunia,yang sebagian besar dapat merugikan bagi kehidupan manusia karena perannya dapatmenyebar luaskan penyakit menular (penyakit tular vektor) diantaranya malaria, demamberdarah, radang otak hencephalitis, filaria, chikungunya. Tidak semua spesies nyamukbetina dapat berperan sebagai penular penyakit hanya beberapa saja diantaranya genusAnopheles, culex, Aedes dan Mansonia. Penyakit penting yang dapat ditularkan olehkeempat genus tersebut adalah malaria, filaria, demam berdarah dan Japanese encephalitis.Tujuan dari penulisan ini mengkaji sejahu mana nyamuk Anopheles dapat menimbulkanmasalah kesehatan masyarakat serta sebarannya yang terkait dengan aktivitas kehidupanmanusia di Indonesia. Berbagai aktivitas manusia dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadaptempat perkembangbiakan bagi kehidupan nyamuk, apabila tempat-tempat tersebut tidakterawat /terkontrol dengan baik. Hal ini akan memberikan kerugian bagi manusia sendiri,karena populasi nyamuk bertambah memberi peluang kontak gigitan nyamuk terhadapmanusia. Spesies nyamuk vektor tertentu mempunyai kaitan erat dengan aktivitas kehidupanmanusia dari mulai pengelolaan lahan sawah, tambak ikan, perkebunan, peternakan,menampung air sampai pembuangan air limbah rumah tangga akan memberikan peluangnyamuk untuk berkembangbiak. Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Peran Serta Masyarakat Pada Program Pemberantasan Malaria Di Kecamatan Cipatujah Kabupaten Tasikmalaya
Abstracts. Malaria control program is aimed to prevent of disease transmission and treatment.The successes of malaria control program depend on many factors. One of those factorsis community participation which is initially by awareness. The study which is aimed toasses relationship between knowledge and community participation was conducted in Sindangkertavillage - Cipatujah Sub District - District of Tasikmalaya. This area has been highendemic malaria since malaria program was launched in southern coastal of java island.Data collection was carried out by interview to 270 respondents which was chosen as a sample.The results of this study are 77.4% of sample is good knowledge however 13% lack participation.Base on statically test, there is not significantly relationship between knowledgeand participation. This research suggested that Health District office of Tasikmalaya haveto undertake facilitating and stewardship for improving community participation by localspecific method and involving of key person as well
Toksisitas Insektisida Organofosfat Dan Karbamat Terhadap Jentik Nyamuk Culex quinquefasciatus
Abstract. Culex quinquefasciatus mosquito is increasing problem of public health, being the vector responsible for West Nile Virus and Filariasis. Clorpirifos (Organofosfat) and Metonil (Carbamat) were known to posses insecticide activity against insect. The study was aimed to examine effectiveness of Klorpirifos and Metonil as larvicide against C. quinque-fasciatus larval. Klorpirifos a significantly higher larvicidal activity against 3th-4th instar larvae of C. quinquefasciatus than Metonil. The larval mortality was observed after 24 h ex-posure. The LC95 value of Klorpirifos and Metonil were 3,139 mg/lt and 9,045 mg/lt, against C. quinquefasciatus. The mixed of both insecticide was LC95 value 2,823 mg/lt. The result of this study suggested that Klorpirifos more effective larvicide against C. quinquefasciatus than Metonil
Karakterisasi dan Toksisitas Akut pada Minyak Buah Merah
Buah Merah (Pandanus conoideus Lam), is an endemic plant from Papua and its surrounding. Oil of buah merah known and claimed for cancer, HIV/AIDS, lung tuberculosis, diabetic and decreased blood cholesterol treatment. Since buah merah oil widlly is used in communities, safety test is needed. There were no toxic effects as abnormal behavior or mortality in rats, even using in high dose of 5 ml/200g body weight or approximately 9.4 times of human dose (1 x HD = 30 ml). Due to this situation, the acute toxicity has been done by Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Research and Development Center, at 2006. The result showed that qualitative test based on chemical group compounds, triterpenoid, phenol and steroid have been found clearly. Basically the oil is not toxic for single dose. Since there ‘s no mortality, the LD;0 will be considered as pseudo LD50, that means that doses of 5 ml/200g body weight of Wistar rat is safe for utilization, or the safety dose for human will bein a very large range
EVALUASI PENYEMPROTAN DINDING RUMAH PENDUDUK DI DESA JINTUNG DAN DESA SRATI KECAMATAN AYAH KABUPATEN KEBUMEN TAHUN 2006
Desa Jintung dan Desa Slatri, Kecamatan Ayah, Kabupaten Kebumen merupakan daerah Reseptif malaria.Terjadi peningkatan kasus malaria pada bulan Juli dan Agustus 2006. Hasil Penyelidikan Epidemiologi di kedua wilayah tersebut telah terjadi penularan malaria setempat yang bersumber dari penderita malaria yang baru pulang dari luar jawa (import). Tersangka vektor yang teridentifikasi adalah Anophelesmaculatus, An.aconitus dan An.balabacensis yang ditemukan baik menggigit di dalam rumah dan di luar rumah.
Untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya penularan malaria yang lebih luas di wilayah tersebut dilakukan upaya intervensi berupa penyemprotan rumah (IRS / indoor Residual Spraying) dengan cakupan pada seluruh rumah di Desa Jintung dan Slatri. Penyemprotan rumah dilakukan pada minggu ke IV bulan Agustus 2006, petugas penyemprot dari masyarkat/kader setempat yang dilatih oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kebumen dan Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kandungan bahan aktif insektisida yang digunakan adalah Bifentrin 0, 10.
Agar upaya pemberantasan vektor (IRS) dapat berhasil guna dan berdaya guna harus dilakukan dengan cara yang benar yaitu meliputi ketepatan dosis insektisida, kerataan residu insektisida yang menempel dipermukaan dinding serta cakupan rumah yang di semprot.
Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan kegiatan penyemprotan rumah dilakukan upaya evaluasi, salah satunya dengan uji hayati (Bioassay)
