Speed, Density, and Crash Relationship in Urban Arterial Roads
Vehicle speed has an essential role in the occurrence of traffic accidents. Increasing the number of vehicles operating on the road will further increase the risk of traffic accidents because it is not balanced with discipline in driving. This study\u27s purpose is to analyze the relationship between speed and traffic accidents that occurred in Gadjah Mada and Hayam Wuruk Road, Jember, through several variations of calculations. The independent variables used are average speed and 85th percentile speed and density, while the dependent variable used is the accident rate. The analysis used is a correlation test that determines the level of closeness of the relationship between the two variables and a regression test that helps estimate the relationship between the two variables through a regression equation model that will be selected based on conditions in the field. The results of this study indicate that lower speed is associated with a lower accident rate. Meanwhile, lower vehicle density leads to an increase in the accident rate. Speed management to improve traffic safety in Indonesia is needed. Direction for future research is presented
BIM Implementation for Storing, Sharing and Capturing Knowledge in Indonesian Project Construction
BIM as a digital representation of assets has been used to facilitate design, construction, and operation process to form a reliable basis for decisions. While knowledge is part of the company\u27s assets, knowledge will be maintained in the system so that it may be recalled if needed if BIM is used to document, store, and distribute knowledge more easily. This study will determine how BIM adoption supports knowledge storage, knowledge share, and knowledge capture in Indonesian construction projects. Data was obtained by interview and analysed using qualitative method. The results showed that large state-owned construction companies in Indonesia had implemented BIM-based knowledge management to assist organisational knowledge management process, especially in knowledge capture, storage and share on several projects, and reduce knowledge loss due to time lapse. Finding also shows that knowledge created in a project is centralised in one model, and lessons or knowledge can be grouped with BIM user preferences
Fe Ion extraction in patchouli oil with ion exchange using resin
Patchouli is the largest non-oil export commodity among essential oil exports in Indonesia. However, the quality of patchouli oil in Indonesia is considered to be very low. Traditional patchouli oil distillation is carried out in a small capacity and uses a simple distillation method based on a large difference in boiling points or one of the volatile components. This process produces poor quality patchouli oil such as acid number more than 8, dark oil, patchouli alcohol less than 30%, and high water content. This is evidenced by the large amount of Fe metal contained in patchouli oil. Patchouli oil produced contains a lot of iron in its yield, so it needs further processing to reduce the Fe content in patchouli oil. The use of resin as an adsorbent for Fe metal is one way to reduce the Fe metal content. Resin weighing 50, 150 and 250 grams was added to 200 ml of patchouli oil. Then the stirring process was carried out with a stirring speed of 200 rpm with time variations of 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The results obtained showed the best adsorption process with Fe content in patchouli oil of 1.42 mg/Kg, contact time of 90 minutes and amount of resin of 250 grams with the largest percentage of removal of 87.5%.

The evaluation of GPM IMERG v.06 rainfall product over the Lau Simeme Watershed in Indonesia
In Indonesia, rainfall is still significant spatially and temporally. In order to gain optimal results from utilising water resources, we have to ensure that the precipitation data is provided in good quality and quantity. Several spatial rainfall measurement sources have become available in recent years, such as GPM data (Global Precipitation Measure). In this study, the GPM IMERG V.06 product was evaluated using rain gauge measurements in the Lau Simeme watershed in North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The relevance of the GPM IMERG was tested by direct comparison with observations at different time scales (daily, monthly, annual and seasonal) between 2005 and 2019. Results show that the satellite product provides poor rainfall estimations at the daily and annual time scales. However, the accuracy of GPM IMERG Final datasets is improved when temporally average to monthly timescale (R2 of 0.728, RMSE of 68.318 mm and NSE of 0.725), wet seasonal time scale (R2 of 0.673, RMSE of 79.287 mm and NSE of 0.658) and dry seasonal time scale (R2 of 0.947, RMSE of 20.356 mm and NSE of 0.924)
Dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete plate resting on elastic foundation using state space method and refined plate theory
This paper studies the dynamic response of rectangular reinforced concrete plates on an elastic foundation by state space method. The system of differential equations of vibration of the plate is developed by using Hamilton\u27s principle. With a single-link rectangular plate, the displacements are represented through a double trigonometric series. Use the state space method to find the plate vibrational responses. The calculation examples are performed to calculate the displacement and stress of the plate with different structural parameters, thereby evaluating the influence of these parameters
Evaluation of Landsat 8 imagery capability to estimate chlorophyll-a concentrations using spatially and temporally different data
Water quality has been one of the major issues in water resources. A water quality monitoring program should be performed regularly. However, this program requires numerous resources and efforts, especially using a direct measurement method. An alternative should be carried out to minimise the issues. Landsat 8 (L8) can be the alternative. Water clarity is one of the essential water parameters affecting sunlight’s ability to penetrate water and engage photosynthesis. Algae is vital in photosynthesis and usually indicated as chlorophyll-a (chl-a). Several studies present that L8 is adequate to estimate chl-a concentrations as it provides high-accuracy results. This paper will generate a new model using data from different places and compare it with other chl-a models from previous studies by their capabilities to estimate chl-a concentrations. The results indicate that the generated model cannot provide consistent and precise estimations in different places and times, although it has a “good” R2 value at 0.7245 from the regression analysis for model generation. The same results arise from other models that cannot reasonably estimate chl-a concentrations
Improving the quality of toll Road services to increase satisfaction level of Pekanbaru – Dumai toll road
Pekanbaru - Dumai toll road is one of the segments of the Trans Sumatra toll roads built by PT Hutama Karya. The Pekanbaru - Dumai toll road connects economic centers in Riau Province, including Dumai-Duri-Kandis-Petapahan-Minas-Pekanbaru. On the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road, problems with service quality were found. This research has two objectives: to analyze the quality of service and level of satisfaction of the toll road users assessed from the toll road users. The second objective is to formulate referral recommendations to fix and improve the quality of toll road services in terms of the needs and expectations of toll road users. The priority is toll road surface maintenance regularly, the second priority is toll road lighting facility maintenance regularly, the third priority is toll road safety facility maintenance regularly, the fourth priority is to improve rest area facilities, the fifth priority is to expand parking in the rest area, and the absolute priority is to enforce electronic fines or (e-ticket) for traffic violations
Analysis of Made Lamongan Residential Drainage System Using SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) and HEC-RAS (Hydraulic Engineering Centre-River Analysis System) Models
Made Lamongan Residential is located in an area that has a flat slope and is flanked by two rivers Kali Mengkuli and Kali Gorok, the problem in the study area is that the drainage system is unable to serve rainwater runoff. This is evidenced by the occurrence of inundation during the rainy season with high intensity. The height of the inundation that occurs in the Residential complex ± 60 cm with a reduction in inundation of more than 12 hours. The calculation results showed that there were several sections of the channel that occurred runoff with a planned Q5 flood discharge of 8.14 m3/sec. Based on the results of surveys in the field, many channels were found that had changed their dimensions due to the renovation of residents\u27 houses. In this study, 1D channel hydraulic modelling was carried out using SWMM and HEC-RAS software to obtain a model that was close to the surface runoff conditions at the study site. The purpose of this study is to obtain the greatest handling of inundation in Made Residential in reducing the height of the inundation based on the model to be carried out, as well as obtaining the value of model calibration at the study site.
Landak Industrial Park (LIP) Development Strategy
Landak Industrial Park (KIL; Kawasan Industri Landak) is a national strategic project for Industrial Estates in West Kalimantan and is included in the List of 14 Priority Industrial Estate Developments Outside Java Island in the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN; Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional). The construction of KIL is experiencing delays, and to prevent the project from stalling, the main sources of industrial growth are new investment and increased utility from the current capacity. This study’s approach is both qualitative and quantitative. The analysis technique used is SWOT analysis using Internal Strategic Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Strategic Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), developed using spatial analysis techniques from the concept of economic aggregation, which then generates value propositions and makes them the basis of a marketing strategy that includes market segmentation (segmenting), setting market targets (targeting), and creating a unique position (positioning). The result is from the SWOT analysis. KIL is in the turnaround quadrant, a position with a strategy of maximizing opportunities because it has major internal weaknesses. The geographical reach of other economic groups or business clusters that are quite close together is a trigger for the development of KIL. Scenarios from the KIL development strategy are expected to support strategic business decisions
Wave Transformation Pattern in Submerged Breakwater Planning with 2D Wave Model at Mengening Beach, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Mengening Beach is located in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The average erosion rate in Badung Regency is 1.96 m/year, so the right plan is a submerged breakwater to reduce wave energy coming to the beach, which causes erosion. This building artistically does not lessen the beauty of the beach and sea because it’s below the sea mean sea water level (MSL). Because the beach is a tourist area, it is essential to maintain the beauty of the beach. Two-dimensional wave modeling uses the CMS Wave model on SMS software version 10.1 with two modeling scenarios: before and after there is a submerged breakwater. The two-dimensional wave results show that the submerged breakwater plan can dampen waves in the building placement area, which was initially 1.3 m-1.4 m high to 0.9 m-1.3 m, so this submerged breakwater plan can reduce waves by 10%-40%. From this research, readers can learn how to plan a submerged breakwater and know the performance of the planned breakwater function at Mengening Beach
