    Get PDF
Despite the Philippines being recognized as a major need for enhanced disaster education and evacuation planning in every community, the ongoing pandemic has made it more difficult for institutions to execute required evacuation drills. As a result of a lack of repetition and participant involvement during mandatory earthquake simulations, participants overlook which routes are designated for evacuation and do not establish a lasting understanding of necessary procedures. Technology and gaming aspects may be used to simulate disasters for educational purposes. The Earthquake Simulation Application, which is based on a model of the structures around the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, was tested on a group of university students to confirm that the system complies with the standards outlined in ISO 25010. The purpose of the Earthquake Simulation Application created in this study is to advise students of the appropriate actions to take during and after an earthquake. To prevent unfavorable results, there are features that inform users of what constitutes incorrect behavior. This earthquake application repeatedly simulates the events that occur during an earthquake to support the retention of correct evacuation routes. Most responders who got earthquake simulation application instructions were able to fail the procedure at least once, but few were able to complete it. It was established that the earthquake simulation program was exceptional in terms of both functional stability and usability, as well as performance

Codeless Test Automation for Development QA

    Get PDF
Codeless test and testing automation promise to make the software testing process and, by extension, the software development Quality Assurance (QA) process easier and more streamlined. It naturally resonates with agile development/testing methodology, which requires repeated and in-development testing, and conventional testing practices and test automation are too time-consuming and resource-intensive (dedicated testers) for most development teams. Codeless testing tools can be used for different testing phases (unit to acceptance testing), and even though certain challenges still remain, they are rapidly being resolved with the development of more sophisticated tools. Technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and good practices like cross-functional tools and shared test libraries can make codeless testing a standard part of development QA

This paper investigates the impact of environmental degradation on the communicative capacity of language. Basing its analysis on L?mnso’ idioms, the paper establishes with a lot of scientific rigour, that the extra-linguistic and sociological variables found in the data under consideration, contribute to the process of signifying  or generating meaning in language. It principally reveals that degradation in geographical environment reduces the communicative potential of language both at the denotative and connotative levels. In addition, adducing very fresh and dependable evidence, it establishes that language is intrinsically linked to environment and culture. It very exciting contributions lie in its stress on this hither to neglected aspect of linguistic studies – that is, the relevance of geographical environment to the generation of meaning and effective communication in language and, in its revelation that game reserves and forest reserves should not only be used as touristic sites, but also as language, and cultural laboratories
