    WAYS TO IMPROVE THE UNDERSTANDING ON PHYSICS CONCEPT THROUGH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING COMBINED WITH GOOGLE CLASSROOM ON KINETIC GAS IN GRADE XI SCIENCE 5 CIBINONG 3 HIGHSCHOOL

    The research was aimed in finding out the improvement of student’s understanding on the physics concept on kinestic gas in grade XI Science 5 Cibinong 3 Highschool in the first semester 2019/2020 School Year through Problem-Bsed Learning combined with Google Classroom. The hypothesis testing of the research was the application of problem-Based Learning combined with Google Classroom could improve the understanding on the physics concept on kinetic gas theory on the students in Grade XI Science 5 Cibinong 3 High School.. The classroom action research was conducted on November 2019 on 36 students in grade XI Science 5 of Cibinong 3 High School in two cycles. The data was collected through pre test and post test. The tests were kognitif test in the form of multiple choice test. The tests consists of three different level of kognitif aspect. The level were understanding (C2), applying (C3), and analyzing (C4) on every cycles. The students’ activities were also recorded in the form of observational check list to see the learning process using Problem-Based Learning combined with Google Classroom by the observer.             The result of the research showed that the application of Problem-Based Learning combined with Google Classroom could improve the learning achievement of the students from 74,86 in the first cycle to 82,45 in the second cycle. The data also showed the average of each level of kognitif in the test items also improve from the first cycle to the second cycle. The C2 level (understanding) improved from 79% to 86%. The C3 level (applying) improved from 60% to 81%. The C4 level (analyzing) improved from 68% to 78%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Problem Based Learning combined with Google Classroom  improve the understanding of the physics concept on kinetic gas og grade XI Science 5 Cibinong 3 High School

    APPLYING DISCOVERY LEARNING ON ELASTICITY MATERIAL CONCEPTS TO IMPROVE PHYSICS LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR STUDENTS IN GRADE XI-5 SCIENCE PROGRAM IN CIBINONG 3 HIGH SCHOOL

    The aim of the research is to find out the improvement learning outcomes and activities in Physics class on material elasticity concepts on students in Grade XI-5 Science Program at Cibinong 3 Highs chool, Bogor Region, and to find out the stages in applying Discovery Learning method. This is expected to improve the learning outcomes on Physics instruction on 2013 curriculum. The hypothesis proven in this research was applying Discovery Learning Instruction could improve the learning outcomes on material elasticity concepts on students in Grade XI-5 Science program at Cibinong 3 High school.             The action research was conducted in Grade XI – 5 Science Program in 2014 in two cycles. The data collected was taken from two forms of scoring. First was the written pre-test and post test scores and second was the group score. The final score was the average of the individual test and the group scores. The data from the students’ activities was taken from the check list observation list collected by the observer. The list was to record the students’ activities in having the learning process. The data collected was then calculated by comparing the improvement between the pretest, posttest, and group scores on the two cycles. This is to decide whether there were improvement on the learning outcomes and to find out the improvement on the learning activities based on the data from the observation lists.             By applying Discovery Learning instruction, it is proven that the learning outcome on the first cycle was noted on 2,51 and increased to 3,27 on the second cycle on the scale of 1 to 4. While the students’ activities was recorded to have shown improvement from 70,20% on the first cycle to 84,40% on the second cycle. Based on the data collected it can be concluded that the application of Discovery Learning has improved the students’ activities and learning outcomes for Grade XI – 5 Science program at Cibinong 3 High school on material elasticity concep

    THE INFLUENCE OF THE ROLE OF PARENTS TO THE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

    The aim of the study was to find out about the influence of the role of parents to the learning achievement of Grade XI Social Program at Parung 1 High School. The method of the research was a quantitative research in a form of survey. The population was students in grade XI Social Program with 105 samples which were taken randomly. The data then calculated using simple regression, coefficient correlation, coefficient determination and hypothesis testing. Through a thorough calculation, the rxy score was 0.588 which means that there was an influence with an average of interpretation between the role of parents toward students’ learning achievement. Based on the coefficient determination analysis  the contribution of the X variable towards Y variables was 34,5%(the rest, 65,5%, was effected by other factors which were not studied in the research). The influence we then tested using statistical hypothesis testing and resulted in tscore  = 7,375 > ttable  = 1,98326. Therefore, the h0 was rejected  and the h1 was accepted. It is said that there is a significant influence between the role of parents and the learning achievement of students in Grade XI Social Program at Parung 1 High School

    The Improvement of Students’ Understanding in Spring Energy Concept through Constructivisme Model of Learning

    Search was aimed to improve the students understanding on the spring energy concept throughconstructivism model of learning. The desain of the research was an action research satrted from planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. After a cycle was completed,the reasearcher made a reflective overview and followed by a following cycle with some improvement actions. The action research was conducted in three cysles. The subject of the research was the students in Grade XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Parung. The calss was choosen because it has the lowest ability in formulating and testing hypothesis. There were only five  out of thirty five studentshas acvieved 70% ability in the skill. It means that only 17 % of the students passed the minimum kriteria. The aspect measured in the research is the ability of the students’  in understanding the spring energy  with 70%  acvievement in passing the minimum criteria and 80%of the classical acviement. The average performance result form the three cycles were (1) 67,43; (2) 70,97; (3) 73,51;. After the test on spring enegry in the three consecutive cycles,the average score gained were 70%, 75%,and 83%. The result of the research   shows that the scientific process approach with practicum method can improve the students’ ability in understanding the concept of spring energy

    The Effect of Beliefs About Learning English, Self Regulation, And Self Esteem Toward High School Students’ Writing Achievement

    The purpose of the study is to find out the effect of beliefs about learning English, self regulation, and self esteem toward the achievement of writing for senior high school’s students. The sample was taken by  using simple random sampling method. The study was conducted by giving out three questionares for the independent variables and by taking writing scores through writing rubric for the dependent variable. These research instruments were validated through expert’s and panelist’s judgement. Then, empirically, these instruments were tried out to 200 senior high school students grade XI. Afterwards, 225 different students answered the final version of the quetionares. The data were collected and calculated using path anlysis to test six hipotheses. The analysis was also carried out by using Lisrel 8.80 programme. The result of the study show: 1) Writing achievement was directly and positively effected by beliefs about learning English, self regulation, and self esteem, 2) Self esteem was directly and positively effected by both beliefs about learning English and self regulation, and 3) Self regulation was directly and positively effected by beliefs about learning English

    IMPROVING STUDENTS NARRATIVE WRITING THROUGH COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

    The aim of the research is to know wether communicative approach in teaching narrative writing give significant impact on the students’ learning achievement. This is due to the fact that writing is the most difficult skill in learning English. The method of the research is a quantitative research by comparing the score between the learning achievement before and after the instruction using communicative approach. The writer proposed the hypothesis: the Students’ English narrative writing after being taught using communicative approach is better than the student’s English narrative writing before being taught using communicative approach.The result showed that t-observe was higher than t-table = 15,55 > 2,00. It means that, there was significant difference between the students’ skill of writing narrative English after being taught using Communicative approach than those who were thaught not using the approach. The average of score (mean) of the Student’s English narrative writing before being taught using communicative approach was 48,6, and the average score of the Student’s English narrative writing after being taught using communicative approach  was 76,2. It had the difference of 27,6 point.     FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE WORK READINESS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS

    The aim of the research is to find out whether the industrial internship program  and students’ working motivation effect on the working readiness of the vocational students. The research method used was a survey method with correlational approach. The population for the research were 205 students, while the sample were 127 respondents. Based on the determination coefficient test, the industrial internship program and students’ working motivation simultaneously effects the working readiness for 46,1 % while the 53,9% is effected by other factors. The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant effect between the industrial internship program and students’ working motivation to the working readiness of the vocational school students. The lowest indicator of the working readiness is the ability and the willingness to cooperate with other people. Therefore, teachers have to give guidance when students encounter problems during the internship program and at school. While the lowest indicator in working motivation is the dreams and the future goals. Because of that, teachers and parents have to be able to encourage the students working motivation so that they do not lose their self-confidence when applying for a job after graduatin

    This study aims is to determine the effect of parenting style and personality of students toward the students' metacognition ability. The method used was ex post facto. The population in this study were all students of third grade in SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang in the first semester of academic year 2016/2017. The samples were taken by using multistage random sampling technique. The design study used was a 2 x 2 factorial design. The data were collected and calculated using two way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The study concludes that: 1) metacognition ability of students who nurtured with permissive parenting is higher than the students who nurtured with authoritarian parenting, and 2) metacognition ability of students who have an extraversion personality type is higher than students who have an introversion personality typ

    IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUACATION IN SOCIOLOGY LEARNING at SMA NEGERI 1 PARUNG

    This research aims at knowing implementation of education character in sociology learning at Parung 1 senior high school.The methode in this study used by qualitative description. Technique the sampling is purposive sampling. Data sources or informants were principals, vice principals in the curriculum field, three sociology teachers, and eighteen students of Parung 1 State High School. Data collection in this study uses observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there were character values in the syllabus and RPP (Learning Implementation Plans) used in the learning process. In learning planning includes some character values in the syllabus and RPP. In the implementation of the learning, apply eleven character values from eighteen character values issued by the Ministry of National Education. For evaluation of assessment learning used is observation by observing students' attitudes and behavior in the classroom and providing assignments to see the development of student learning progress
