Clustering Of Library’s Patron Behavior Using Machine Learning
Libraries collect a lot of important transaction data, but they rarely use this information to
improve how consumers interact with them. This work tries to bridge this gap by offering a novel use of
machine learning to analyze and classify library patron behavior. The KMeans clustering technique
was utilised to categorize Patron based on their age range, checkouts, and renewals. Dimensionality
reduction methods like PCA and t-SNE were used to visually clarify the generated patterns. The
clustering model performed quite well, as evidenced by its Calinski-Harabasz Index of 320.12, Davies-
Bouldin Index of 0.45, and Silhouette Score of 0.62. Beyond these metrics, the study’s novelty lies in its
practical implications—offering libraries a data-driven framework to tailor services, improve user
satisfaction, and optimize resource allocation. This study shows the transformative potential of machine
learning in library science offering a data-driven framework for libraries to personalize services,
optimize book recommendations, and enhance outreach efforts based on patron behavior. Limitation of
this study lies on the data bias which may affect generalizability due to demographic differences across
librarie
Empowering 21st Century Skills: The Impact of Independent Curriculum Modules on Elementary Students
This study was motivated by the problem of students' weak reading literacy and 4C skills in elementary
schools. Reading literacy and 4C skills are essential components of 21st-century education that need
to be developed through effective learning processes. The research aims to analyze the effect of the
Independent Curriculum teaching modules on improving reading literacy and 4C skills among fourthgrade
elementary
students.

study.
The sample consisted of 148 fourth-grade students selected using a purposive sampling
technique. Data collection techniques included tests to measure reading literacy and observation sheets
to assess 4C skills. Instrument validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure the quality of the
research tools. Data analysis was performed using Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to test
the research hypotheses. The results indicate that the Independent Curriculum teaching modules
significantly influence the improvement of students' reading literacy and 4C skills. In conclusion, the
implementation of the Independent Curriculum teaching modules enhances students' ability to
comprehend texts and develop essential 21st-century skills needed to face future challenges
Analysis of Integration Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) of Preservice Mathematics Teacher in Planning the Learning Process
Professional teachers must master pedagogical and technological
content knowledge (TPCK) to innovate in teaching. However, many
teachers struggle to integrate technology effectively. Preparing
preservice teachers with these skills is essential for their readiness in
the workforce. This study analyzes the ability of preservice
mathematics teachers to integrate technology into pedagogical
content knowledge when planning mathematics lessons. This
research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects
were 23 fifth-semester preservice mathematics teachers from
Universitas Islam Riau. TPCK analysis was conducted on their lesson
planning documents, focusing on three aspects: Technological
Knowledge (TK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), and
Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK). Data analysis followed
four stages: data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification.
Findings indicate that preservice teachers demonstrated very good
competency in technological knowledge (TK) when designing
learning plans. Their ability to integrate technology with subject
content (TCK) was rated as good. Similarly, their understanding of
using technology in pedagogy (TPK) was also classified as good.
These results suggest that preservice mathematics teachers are
capable of integrating technology into pedagogical content
knowledge effectively, though there is room for improvement in
refining their strategies. Preservice teachers exhibit good competence
in TPCK when designing mathematics lesson plans, highlighting
their readiness to apply technology in future teaching. Further
research should explore strategies to enhance their technological
integration skills in practical teaching settings
