Potensi Metabolit Sekunder Trichoderma SPP. dalam Menghambat Perkembangan Colletotrichum SPP. Secara In Vitro
Chili is one of the cultivated plants, one of the main problems that often occurs due to anthracnose attacks caused by the fungus Colletotrichum spp. One biological control that can be used is Trichoderma spp., Trichoderma spp. can produce secondary metabolites containing antibiotic compounds, enzymes, toxins and hormones. The aim of this research was to determine the potential of secondary metabolites of Trichoderma spp. which comes from the rhizosphere of bamboo, chili and elephant grass plants which have the potential to inhibit the development of the fungus Colletotrichum spp. anthracnose disease in vitro. The research method used a completely randomized design with a single factor. Consisting of three (3) treatments and one (1) control, repeated five (5) times, totaling twenty (20) experiments. This research was carried out at the Phytopathology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. The research results show different inhibitory forces. Secondary metabolites from the roots of chili plants showed a higher inhibitory power, namely 45.65% compared to 16.82% from the roots of bamboo plants and 16.71% from the roots of elephant grass plants. However, secondary metabolites from the roots of bamboo plants and elephant grass plants have the same abilities. A 20% concentration can inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum spp. on day 3, while further observation of the ability of secondary metabolites of Trichoderma spp. suppress the development of Colletotrichum spp. decreasing. Konsentrasi 20% mampu menghambat pertumbuhan Colletotrichum spp. pada hari ke-3, sedangkan pengamatan selanjutnya kemampuan metabolit sekunder Trichoderma spp. menekan perkembangan Colletotrichum spp. semakin menurun

The Use Of The Think Predict Read Connect (Tprc) Strategy And Know Want Learn (Kwl) Strategy In Teaching Reading Comprehension Of Descriptive Text For Seven Grade Students
This study aimed to find out whether there is any difference in the students’ reading comprehension achievement between those who are taught using the Think, Predict, Read, and Connect (TPRC) Strategy and those who are taught using the Know-Want-Learn (K-W-L) Strategy in the seventh grade. This study took place at SMP Negeri 3 Hulu Sungai Tengah. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The writer chooses VII B as the experimental class taught using the Think, Predict, Read, and Connect (TPRC) Strategy and VII C as the control class, taught using the Know-Want-Learn (K-W-L) Strategy. Both classes consist of 26 students. The result from the test that the writer got was 62.15 the pre-test score in the experimental class and 62.31 in the control class. The post-test score in the experimental class was 74.08 and 74.15 in the control class. Based on the result of the t-test, it was 0.03, and the t-table was 2.009. The result of the t-test was lower than the t-table, so the hypothesis null was accepted, and the alternative hypothesis was rejected. It means there is no difference in the students’ reading comprehension achievement between those who are taught using the TPRC Strategy and the K-W-L Strategy. The use of the TPRC Strategy and K-W-L Strategy had a positive impact on increasing students’ scores from pre-test to post-test. In other words, both techniques are good for English Language teaching classrooms. Based on the conclusion of the study, the writer suggests that teacher should increase their theoretical knowledge when they are interested in applying both strategies. The teacher could use both strategies to improve students' achievement, especially in reading comprehension. Furthermore, the writer hopes this study can have a beneficial impact on other researchers.

Penilaian Baku Mutu Beberapa Parameter Baku Mutu Terpilih untuk Penilaian Kerusakan Tanah
The negative impact of open pit mining is damage to the environment. Damage to forest ecosystems results in decreased environmental quality, especially in soil as a biomass producer. The solution to the impacts caused by open pit mining is planning from the initial to post-mining stages prior to mining as an effort to preserve the environment. This study aims to determine the value and distribution of soil damage on selected parameters in the post-mining reclamation area. The research was conducted using a descriptive exploratory method with data obtained based on the analysis of the physical and chemical properties of the soil on selected parameters in the laboratory as primary and secondary data. Soil damage status in block 2 jackfruit pit in the post-mining reclamation area of CV. Cinta Puri Pratama, Mataraman District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan is classified as slightly damaged with the limiting factor being bulk density, based on the results of the assessment of the quality standards of several selected parameters for soil damage referring to Government Regulation Number 150 of 2000 concerning controlling soil damage for biomass production that there is damage to post-mining reclamation land the existence of the parameters studied shows a value that exceeds the critical threshold as evidenced through the results of an evaluation of the damage status of post-mining reclamation land, if even one of the parameter thresholds is exceeded, the soil is declared damaged, while the evaluation results show that there is one parameter that has exceeded the critical threshold
Pengaruh Pemberian Berbagai Macam Bahan Organik terhadap Ketersediaan Hara Nitrogen, Fosfor dan Kalium serta Serapan Nitrogen oleh Jagung (Zea mays L.) pada Tanah Ultisols
Ultisols distributes spreadly in Indonesia, but this soil has low fertility. Therefore, the application of organic matter (OM) is a common management to increase this soil fertility. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of different types of OM (originated from animals and plants) on the availability of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium as well as nitrogen uptake in maize in Ultisols. Soil with a mass of 5 kg without organic matter (control), with the application of chicken manure, cow manure, swallow manure, kirinyuh, babadotan, and kalopo manure were incubated in experimental pots for two weeks at 60% field capacity. After the completion of the incubation period, soil sub-sampling was carried out for the determination of available N, available P and exchangeable K. Furthermore, in each experimental pot, corn seeds were planted, and the observations of dried-weight of corn and nitrogen uptake in corn were observed in a vegetative phase. The results showed that the application of different types of organic matter increased soil pH, nitrate content, exchangeable K, plant dried-weight and plant nitrogen uptake. The content of ammonium and available P was not affected by OM addition. The results also showed that OM derived from animals resulted in higher increases in pH and exchangeable K than those derived from plants. However, OM derived from plants resulted in higher increases in nitrate, plant dry weight and better plant N uptake than OM from animal waste. The results of this study show that the application of OM results in increases in some soil chemical properties, in which the degree of increases in soil chemical characteristics is controlled by the OM origin
Pengaruh Kombinasi Pupuk Kandang Ayam dan Ekstrak Kompos Ampas Kopi terhadap Sifat Kimia Tanah Ultisol
Ultisol has problems such as soil acidity <5.5, high Al saturation >42%, low organic matter <1.15%, low nutrients such as 0.14% N, P 5.80 ppm, and low base saturation < 35%. Chicken manure is an organic material that alters soil pH and increases total N, total P, and P uptake. Coffee grounds can increase pH, N nutrients, organic matter, available P, prevent fungal growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of feeding chicken manure and coffee grounds compost extract in increasing pH, increasing N availability, decreasing exchangeable Al, and increasing P availability of Ultisol. The research method used was a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Factors tested were chicken manure, coffee grounds compost extract, and a combination of the two up to five treatments. K0 = Control, no chicken manure and coffee grounds compost extract; K1 = Coffee grounds compost extract 4 kL ha-1; K2 = Chicken manure 2 tons ha-1; K3 = Chicken manure 2 tons ha-1 + coffee grounds compost extract 4 kL ha-1; K4 = Chicken manure 4 tons ha-1 + coffee grounds compost extract 8 kL ha-1. Each treatment was replicated four times for 20 experiments. The results showed that the application of chicken manure and coffee grounds compost extract decreased soil pH, and soil exchangeable Al and increased soil ammonium, nitrate and available P levels
Emisi Metana (CH4) pada Beberapa Metode Pengelolaan Limbah Sawah di Kecamatan Anjir Pasar Kabupaten Barito Kuala
Paddy fields for all of Indonesia are 8.1 million ha, about 43% are in Java and about 57% are outside Java. Paddy fields are part of the wetlands. Paddy fields control the global climate through the gases they produce and have a greenhouse effect. One of the greenhouse gases is methane, therefore the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rice field waste management on methane emissions and the population of methanogenic microorganisms. The research method used is one-factor Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The factor tested was the method of managing rice waste before planting rice with five treatments namely: A = Rice field waste was slashed and then lifted into the mound after a few days of being returned to the field; B = Rice field waste is carried out management slashed, rolled up, reversed, and stretched; C = Rice field waste is slashed, planted with traces and then slashed again after the trace is transferred to land outside the research plot; D = Rice field waste sprayed with herbicide 2 times; E = Ricefield waste sprayed with herbicide 1 time and then soil in the tractor. Each treatment was repeated four times so 20 units of the experimental. CH4 gas retrieval used the hood method while the microorganism population used the MPN (most probable Number) method. The results showed that the rice field waste management method had an effect on methane emissions and populations of methanogen microorganisms in the planting and vegetative phases, while the generative phase had no effect.Paddy fields for all of Indonesia are 8.1 million ha, about 43% are in Java and about 57% are outside Java.
