A POTENSIAL EKONOMI HUTAN MANGROVE DI PERCUT SEI TUAN: POTENSIAL EKONOMI HUTAN MANGROVE DI PERCUT SEI TUAN
This study assessed the potential of the mangrove forest ecosystem in Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatera, with the aim of evaluating the biodiversity, ecological function, and economic potential of the mangrove forest. The research was conducted through field surveys, vegetation inventory, and interviews with 30 local people. The results showed that the mangrove forest area in Percut Sei Tuan has high species diversity with seven main mangrove species. The ecological functions of mangroves as coastal protection, pollutant filters, and living places for coastal fauna are also clearly identified. In addition, the results of this study show great economic potential, which can be utilized sustainably, through activities such as ecotourism, fish farming, and non-timber forest product management. This study recommends the need for community-based management that takes into account conservation aspects and sustainable development of the local economyPenelitian ini mengkaji potensi ekosistem hutan mangrove di Percut Sei Tuan, Medan, dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi keanekaragaman hayati, fungsi ekologis, dan potensi ekonomi hutan mangrove tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan melalui survei lapangan, inventarisasi vegetasi, serta wawancara dengan 30 orang masyarakat lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan hutan mangrove di Percut Sei Tuan memiliki keanekaragaman spesies yang tinggi dengan tujuh spesies mangrove utama. Fungsi ekologis mangrove sebagai pelindung pesisir, penyaring polutan, serta tempat hidup fauna pesisir juga teridentifikasi dengan jelas. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi ekonomi yang besar, yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan, melalui kegiatan seperti ekowisata, budidaya ikan, dan pengelolaan hasil hutan non-kayu. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pengelolaan berbasis masyarakat yang memperhatikan aspek konservasi dan pengembangan ekonomi lokal secara berkelanjutan
ALGORITMA BRANCH AND BOUND UNTUK MEMAKSIMALKAN KEUNTUNGAN PRODUKSI FROZEN FOOD PADA UMKM MOON LOVE
Penelitian ini membahas penerapan Algoritma Branch and Bound untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan produksi frozen food pada UMKM Moon Love. Dalam industri makanan, efisiensi produksi dan distribusi merupakan permasalahan yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan, terutama untuk UMKM yang sering menghadapi keterbatasan sumber daya. Algoritma Branch and Bound digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan optimasi dengan membagi masalah menjadi sub-masalah yang lebih kecil dan mengeliminasi solusi yang tidak optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari catatan harian UMKM Moon Love, kemudian menerapkan metode studi literatur untuk memahami konsep-konsep algoritma Branch and Bound serta model pemrograman linier lain nya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Branch and Bound memperoleh hasil yang optimal dalam menentukan jumlah produksi nugget, dimsum, dan risol pada UMKM Moon Love. Adapun keuntungan maksimal yang dihasilkan sebesar Rp. 5.840.000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keuntungan sebesar 21,2% dibandingkan dari sebelumnya. Sehingga dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pentingnya metode optimasi dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk meningkatkan kinerja pada setiap usaha terutama pada UMKM Moon Love.UMKM Moon Love merupakan salah satu usaha yang bergerak dibidang frozen food, yang memiliki beberapa jenis produk yang diproduksi yaitu Nugget, Dimsum, dan Risole. Pada UMKM ini sering terjadi permasalahan kesalahan dalam perhitungan jumlah produksi sehingga berpengaruh terhadap keuntungan yang diperoleh. Sehingga perlu dilakukan perancangan produksi agar dapat menentukan jumlah produksi dari masing-masing jenis produk dengan mempertimbangkan keterbatasan sumber daya yang ada dan permintaan pasar. Algoritma branch and bound digunakan untuk mencari Solusi dalam model ini yang bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan. Dari hasil perhitungan diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan keuntungan sebesar 21,2 % dalam menentukan jumlah produksi dengan algoritma branch and bound. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa UMKM Moon Love memperoleh keuntungan yang meningkat dengan menerapkan perancangan produksi dengan menggunakan algoritma branch and bound dibandingkan dengan perancangan produksi sebelumnya
Microplastic content of three types of economically fish in the Industrial Area Waters of North Aceh and Lhokseumawe Regency
North Aceh and Lhokseumawe Regency are promising regions in the marine and fisheries industry, encompassing both big pelagic and small pelagic fish. The industrial zone in North Aceh and Lhokseumawe Regency is characterized by significant activity, where activity pertains to both industrial operations in the region and activities in coastal zones. The current industries include PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT ASEAN Aceh Fertilizer, PT Kertas Kraft Aceh, and PT Arun Natural Gas Liquefaction. Identifying microplastics in economically important fish in industrial area waters is necessary to determine whether the fish contain microplastics. The aim of this research is to determine the microplastic content in three economically fish, namely trevally (Caranx ignobilis), grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus), and mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.). The research was carried out in 2024. Data and samples were collected using a survey method taken directly in the field. The data collection points during the research were at four locations around the industrial area, namely PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (station 1), PT ASEAN Aceh Fertilizer (station 2), PT Kertas Kraft Aceh (station 3), PT Arun Natural Gas Liquefaction (station 4) in the waters of North Aceh and Lhokseumawe Regency. Analysis of microplastic content was carried out at the Oceanography Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University. Based on research results, the types of microplastics found in the digestive organs of trevally, grouper and mackerel are fiber, film, fragments, granules, pellets, and foam. Composition structure and size distribution of two mahseer species in the Sikundur River, Leuser Ecosystem Area, Aceh, Indonesia
The fish diversity within the Leuser Ecosystem Area (LEA), particularly in the Sikundur River, plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of freshwater ecosystems. However, the populations of Mahseer (Tor tambroides and Neolissochilus soro) in this region are under threat due to habitat alteration and intensive exploitation. This study aims to examine the composition structure and size distribution of these two Mahseer species in the Sikundur River. Data collection was conducted at three stations representing different ecological settings: a residential area (Station 1), an agricultural plantation (Station 2), and a natural forest (Station 3). The study was carried out across two seasonal periods, dry season (April–September 2023) and rainy season (October–March 2024). Fish were sampled using cast nets, gillnets, and handlines with the assistance of local fishers, during both morning and evening sessions. Samples were analyzed descriptively and presented in tables and graphs. Results showed that Station 3, located in a natural forest, had the highest proportion of juvenile and adult Mahseer with the largest sizes and weights, particularly during the dry season. Station 1 was dominated by smaller juveniles, especially in the rainy season. Station 2 displayed variable patterns. Seasonal and ecological differences significantly influenced Mahseer population structure and growth dynamics
Survival rate and growth performance of molly fish (Poecilia latipinna) with ascorbic acid enrichment in Moina sp.
Snow white molly (Poecilia latipinna, Lesueur 1821) is a popular ornamental freshwater fish introduced for aquarium use. This study aimed to evaluate the survival rate and growth performance of snow white molly fed Moina sp. enriched with ascorbic acid. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and three replicates: enrichment of Moina sp. with ascorbic acid at concentrations of (A) 150 mg/L, (B) 175 mg/L, and (C) 200 mg/L. The enriched Moina sp. was fed to snow white molly for a 30-day rearing period. The results showed that treatment B, with Moina sp. enriched at 175 mg/L of ascorbic acid, yielded the best outcomes: a survival rate of 86,66±5,7%, an absolute length of 2,5±0,1 cm/fish, and a specific growth rate of 4,02±0,32%/day. Media has undergone many changes, from the existence of traditional media, through media convergence to the emergence of new media today. Along with the increasing complexity of technology and the easier access to new media, traditional media is slowly being eliminated from the market. Students are actively using digital media. What are the differences in the use of traditional media and new media among students of the International Relations Study Programme, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Almuslim University. Then, what are the responses and critical reactions that students have to communication in the current digital era? The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in the use of traditional communication media and new communication media among students of the International Relations Study Program class of 2024. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative methodology that involves descriptive description through data analysis techniques in the form of interviews and field surveys (observation). The findings of this study indicate that the emergence of new media in today\u27s digital era has both positive and negative impacts
Implementasi Struktur Material Alami Berbasis Sustainable Development Pada Perancangan Café Benuansa Kearifan Lokal Implementation of Natural Material Structure Based on Sustainable Development in the Design of the Benuansa Local Wisdom Cafe
Maraknya perancangan café yang dirancang berlandaskan pada prinsip Sustainable Development Goals (SGD’s) di hampir seluruh penjuruh Indonesia tidak terkecuali di Aceh mampu menarik perhatian pengunjung dan masyarakat setempat untuk menjadikannya sebagai open space area kuliner. Umumnya design café bernuansa kearifan lokal sangat mendukung kompatibilitas serta integritas struktur dan konstruksi pada perancangan bentuk aristektural yang diimbangi dengan prinsip design SGD’s melalui efektivitas dan efisiensi. Beberapa studi yang telah dilakukan material alami yaitu bambu dianggap mampu mendukung eksplorasi struktur dan mewujudkan konsep design café bernuansa kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji eksploritasi material alami yang berupa bambu sebagai wujud design SGD’s dan mengedepankan kerifan lokal yang telah lama digunakan sebagai budaya di Indonesia sebagai material konstruksi dan penerapan sustainable development goals (SDG’s) dalam desain eksterior caffe yang berkonstribusi pada pembangunan kota berkelanjutan dengan menciptakan ruang publik yang ramah lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa deskriptif kualitatif dimana data diperoleh berdasarkan observasi lapangan serta wawancara pada pihak terkait objek penelitian yang didukung oleh penelitian sebelumnya sebagai akurasi dalam perolehan data..popularity, drawing both tourists and locals to the open-air gastronomic environment. The compatibility and integrity of construction and structures in the design of architectural forms that are harmonized with the principles of SGD\u27s design through effectiveness and efficiency are generally strongly supported by café designs that incorporate subtleties of local wisdom. Bamboo, one of the natural materials that has been the subject of numerous studies, is said to be able to facilitate structural study and the realization of cafe design concepts with subtleties of local expertise. The purpose of this research is to investigate the use of natural resources, such as bamboo, as a local knowledge, which has long been utilized as a building material in Indonesian culture, is given priority in SGD\u27s design and application. Additionally, the exterior design of cafes incorporates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create environmentally friendly public spaces that support sustainable city development. Descriptive qualitative research methodology is employed, and data is gathered by field observations and interviews with stakeholders involved in the research topic, which are validated by prior studies as reliable data collection methods.

Clay Soil as the foundation for a construction project must meet the requirements for soil bearing capacity. Research on soil is crucial to ensure the stability of the construction built upon it since the structural strength is directly influenced by the subgrade\u27s ability to bear and transfer the applied loads. This study focuses on stabilizing clay soil in Paya Lipah Village, Peusangan Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency, by adding bamboo ash at 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% as a soil stabilization material to enhance soil strength through Proctor and CBR tests. The soil samples were taken from Paya Lipah Village, Peusangan Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency. The test results showed that the use of bamboo ash as a stabilizing material for clay soil increased the moisture content of the original soil from 15.28% to 16.94% at a 9% bamboo ash mixture. Additionally, the use of bamboo ash for soil stabilization improved the Unsoaked CBR value in line with the increase in bamboo ash content, with the original soil’s Unsoaked CBR value rising from 4.0% to 39.8% at a 9% bamboo ash mixture.
PELATIHAN ASESSMEN PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS QUIZIZZ PADA GURU UPTD SMP NEGERI 1 BARRU SEBAGAI EVALUASI PENILAIAN PEMBELAJARAN: Pelatihan Asesmen Pembelajaran Berbasis Quizizz
This community service activity aimed to provide knowledge about optimizing the quizizz application service to teachers of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Barru, which was held on October 9, 2024 in the Hall of SMP Negeri 1 Barru, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. The training participants consisted of 64 teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Barru. This training was guided by the Quizizz Super Trainer, Mr. Jamal Passalowongi, S.Pd., M.Pd. The training methods used by the presenters were in the form of direction, questions and answers, direct practice in the field, and mentoring. The results obtained from this community service activity were that the training participants gave a positive response when taking part in the training, and the participants were very enthusiastic and there was an increase in teacher creativity in making learning evaluations using quizizz. However, the implementation of this activity also faced obstacles, such as limited technological infrastructure, internet access, and difficulty using the application\u27s advanced features. For this reason, there should be further training on the use of quizizz features, so that teachers maximize the potential of this application in evaluation learning.Tujuan dari pengabdian ini antara lain untuk membantu memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang mengoptimalkan layanan aplikasi Quizizz pada guru-guru UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Barru. Kegiatan workshop pemanfaatan Quizizz bagi guru-guru SMP Negeri 1 Barru dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Oktober 2024 bertempat di Aula SMP Negeri 1 Barru, Kabupaten Barru, Sulawesi Selatan. Peserta workshop terdiri dari guru-guru SMP Negeri 1 Barru sebanyak 64 peserta. Pelatihan ini diberikan oleh Super Trainer Quizizz yaitu Bapak Jamal Passalowongi, S.Pd., M.Pd. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan oleh pemateri yaitu pengarahan, tanya jawab, praktik langsung di lapangan dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini bahwa peserta workshop memberikan respon positif. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat ketika mengikuti pelatihan, peserta menjadi semangat dan kreativitas meningkat dalam membuat evaluasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Quizizz
PENERAPAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ILMU DASAR TEKNIK MESIN PADA SEKOLAH INDONESIA DAVAO FILIPINA
This community service activity aimed to improve the quality of basic mechanical engineering learning at Sekolah Indonesia Davao (SID) through the application of innovative and effective learning media. SID has limited access to basic mechanical engineering learning materials, and there is no media that makes it easier to understand the material. To overcome this problem, the community service activity implementation team implemented basic engineering learning media aimed for junior high and high school levels. The implementation methods included identifying partner problems, determining solutions, implementing media, monitoring, and compiling reports. The results of the implementation of this activity showed that the basic mechanical engineering learning media has been handed over to the partner on May 28, 2024, and training on how to operate the media has been carried out. This activity also received a positive response from the partner, because it made a significant contribution to improving the understanding and skills of students at SID in the field of mechanical engineering, as well as strengthening cooperation between Surabaya State University and SID in the field of education.Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dasar ilmu teknik mesin di Sekolah Indonesia Davao melalui penerapan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif. Di Sekolah Indonesia Davao, terdapat keterbatasan akses terhadap materi pembelajaran dasar ilmu teknik mesin, serta belum adanya media yang memudahkan pemahaman materi tersebut. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, PKM ini menerapkan media pembelajaran ilmu dasar keteknikan yang ditujukan untuk jenjang SMP dan SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi identifikasi masalah mitra, penentuan solusi, penerapan media, monitoring, dan penyusunan laporan. Hasil yang dicapai hingga laporan ini disusun menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ilmu dasar teknik mesin telah diserahterimakan kepada pihak mitra pada tanggal 28 Mei 2024, dan pelatihan pengoperasian media tersebut telah dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon positif dari pihak mitra, karena dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa di Sekolah Indonesia Davao dalam bidang ilmu teknik mesin, serta memperkuat kerja sama antara Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan Sekolah Indonesia Davao dalam bidang pendidikan
