Muerte Circo
No full textWhen childhood friends, Lilly and Sierra, stumble across an abandoned trailer at their town's annual carnival, the two open a doorway to another world. Upon entering the alternative universe, Muerte Circo, Lilly and Sierra are offered a gift to see when and how they will die. When they accept Muerte's offer, Sierra learns she will die tonight at the carnival. Lilly discovers Sierra will inadvertently send her to her death. This awakes Lilly to the flaws in her relationship with Sierra, who is faced with the decision to either escape her death tonight and set Lilly up for her death, or die tonight and give Lilly a longer life. This fate-tampering gift brings the worst and best out of individuals. Will Muerte Circo bring out the best or worst in Sierra

The first part is a sample memoir written by the author about a 10-year period in her life to become a soccer athlete. The first part shows the trials and tribulations of an athlete as well as serving as a model for the second part of this thesis. The second part is a series of lesson plans that will be used to teach 8th grade students how to write a memoir as well as the components that are necessary to creating a successful piece of writing

No full textThis project is a short story that focuses on the character Jonas Black, a widower whose job is to paint pictures of locations throughout the United States for a tourist magazine. Jonas is terrified of the dark due to his childhood memories of being thrown in the basement by his abusive father. When he comes to the town of Railstone, Tennessee, he is faced with something much greater than these fears. Jonas has to cope with loneliness and the loss of his family while trying to maintain his own sanity amongst strange happenings in the town that seems to know him better than he knows himself
