conduce a enfermedades mentales graves. Physical and social anxiety (PSA) is an increasingly common syndrome among adolescents because of their vulnerability, leading to serious mental illness. It is closely related to the self-concept of body image. It varies according to gender, age, body mass index (BMI), physical shape, social context. Objective: The aim of this study is to find out how PSA affects Spanish physical education
students, assessing possible differences according to gender. It also aims to discover whether there is a correlation between PSA and the age and BMI of the students. Methods: 306 students of Physical Education were questioned with a socio-demographic test and Physical-Social and Anxiety Scale (SPAS-7). Results: Significant associations were found between PSA and sex (p<0.01). Conclusions: PSA affects Spanish adolescent physical education students, with higher levels in girls than in boys. Public health policies are needed to reduce PSA at vulnerable ages and to implement gender policies to reduce the incidence, especially in females.peerReviewe
With the beginning of educational inclusion achieving universal accessibility for all people, especially the most vulnerable groups, new modifications and improvements have been promoted to eliminate any type of discrimination, prejudice, or stereotype. However, there still exists a disparity between the inclusion and rejection of students with hearing disabilities in schools. Therefore, the overall objective was to predict the probability of having high scores in the factor Refusal of people with hearing impairment for each variable analysed. These were the students’ perception and attitude towards the inclusion of their hearing impaired classmates, and the students’ perception of the teacher’s and parents’ attitude towards the inclusion of this group. The sample consisted of 823 students in secondary education, aged between 13 and 16 years. The statistical technique used in the study was logistic regression, following the step forward procedure based on the Wald statistic. The instruments selected for data collection were the Specific Scale of Attitudes towards Persons with Hearing Impairment (EAPDA) and the Semi-structured interview for the evaluation of attitudes towards disability and inclusion (EADI). As a conclusion, it is started that the probability of presenting a high score in Rejection of people with hearing impairment decreases for each point of increase in the variables analysed.peerReviewe
Use of images as multimodal content during Social Sciences teaching
This text presents, broadly speaking, the development and research results obtained from the work carried out with some social sciences teachers from the municipality of Manizales (Department of Caldas, Republic of Colombia). With them, sought to verify the impact of technological innovation and its ability to strengthen teaching processes in classrooms is recognized. Likewise, the assumed hypothesis was that such processes can be successful, if visual and multimodal texts are used; in order to transmit knowledge in a more interactive way and without sacrificing the complexity of the content. At the same time, the unforeseen circumstance, at the time of the beginning the investigation, of the Covid-19 pandemic is considered: this fact meant an opportunity for teachers to solve, with creativity and patience, the different educational challenges posed by an event of global magnitudes. To demonstrate the use of said visual and multimodal texts by Social Sciences teachers, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, the case study method was used as a basis for the application of semi-structured interviews with eight educators from the Educational and University Institute of Caldas (IEUC) in the city of Manizales, between the years 2021 and 2022. From the results obtained from these interviews, the need to implement actions and strategies, such as public policies, is concluded to achieve new literacy in the digital and visual field; also considering the cultivation of critical thinking in the classrooms.peerReviewe
The History that is known and the one that will be taught: representations of school history and national identity in teacher training
The school history tends to follow the classic nationalizing master narratives, which still predominate in school contexts. It is the traditional history, the one considered true, that continues to face the emergence of alternative readings of the past, driven by historiographical renewals and new approaches. The social representations of pre-service teachers regarding the historical discipline and the issue of identity reveal the persistence of outdated models that we refer to, which are linked to the traditional view of the historical discipline. We seek to address this issue using Grounded Theory, as it allows us to visualize the mechanisms behind the vision, interpretation, and teaching-learning process of the historical discipline. Grounded Theory has enabled us to detect other underlying realities in the thinking of pre-service teachers, such as conceptions, resistances, emotions, and identity fears that act as true obstacles when it comes to learning and teaching a different school history.

Analysis of students' citizenship actions when studying the chilean civil military dictatorship
Various measurements on the civic values of young Chileans have shown their inclination to justify dictatorships in the case of offering order, security or economic benefits, in addition to the validation of violence to resolve conflicts. Considering this background, the purpose of this article is to analyze the citizenship actions that students develop in the present and project in the future to protect democracy and human rights during the study of the Chilean dictatorship, based on a wide variety of historical documents. This is an exploratory qualitative research that analyzes, from the methodology of content analysis, 70 answers developed by 35 students belonging to two high school classes of a private school in Santiago, Chile. The results show that the students consider themselves in the present and project themselves in the future as active citizens committed to democracy and human rights. Thus, actions such as valuing the vote, listening to those who think differently, staying informed, participating in demonstrations, respecting others and learning from the past are the most relevant for the participants. In spite of the above, the responses of the young people also show that they avoid conflict and understand their exercise of citizenship as part of their individual personal development, in addition to showing little knowledge about institutions, civil organizations and the multiple forms of political action that people can develop.peerReviewe

Effects of sustainable rice management on the behavior and bioefficacy of bispyribac-sodium: a medium-term study
The practices (tillage and flooding) used for rice crops are unsustainable, especially in areas characterized by water shortages, such as the Mediterranean region. Therefore, it is necessary to develop sustainable methods in order to ensure the viability of rice production. However, it is essential to understand the effects that alternative management can have on herbicide behavior. In this context, this paper describes the first field experiment conducted to evaluate the medium-term effects of different agricultural practices on the fate of bispyribac sodium (BPS). Thus, the treatments were as follows: tillage and flooding (TF), tillage and sprinkler (TS), and no-tillage and sprinkler (NTS). In addition, “alperujo” compost (AC) from olive mill waste was used in each treatment (TF-AC, TS-AC, and NTS-AC). The AC was applied only once in 2015 when the TS and NTS treatments were implemented. The AC amendment increased the adsorption of BPS and its irreversibility, thereby decreasing the BPS leaching capacity. Furthermore, throughout this study, the BPS persistence was up to 1.85 times greater with sprinklers than in the flooding condition, which could explain the high values of BPS effectiveness (increased by a factor of 1.45 on average) found with sprinklers. Therefore, the implementation of sprinklers in combination with AC can be considered a sustainable strategy for Mediterranean rice production, at least in the medium term, as it reduces BPS water pollution and increases its weed control efficiency. This research was funded by Extremadura Regional Government, grant number IB16075 and MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, by ERDF A way of making Europe, grant numbers RTI2018-095461-B-I00 and PID2021-123062OB-100, by grant TED2021-129790B-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, and by European Union NextGeneration EU/PRTR. Unveiling the association between 24-hour movement guidelines and academic engagement in adolescents
BACKGROUND: The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between adherence to different possible combinations of the 24 hour movement guidelines and academic engagement in adolescents.
METHODS: The cross sectional study involved 742 students (median = 15.00; interquartile range = 3.00), aged 12 to 17 years (422 girls; 56.9%). Physical activity, screen time, sleep duration, and academic engagement were measured using self report measurements. A generalized additive mixed model and a generalized linear mixed model were used to examine the association between adherence to 24 hour movement guidelines and academic engagement. Age, sex, socioeconomic status, body mass index, and school were considered as covariates.
RESULTS: Students who met all three guidelines showed the highest levels of academic engagement. Conversely, the lowest levels of academic engagement were observed in those who did not meet any of the guidelines. In addition, students’ academic engagement was higher as more 24 hour movement guidelines were met.
CONCLUSION: Our results suggest the importance of jointly promoting 24 hour movement guidelines, as it appears to have greater benefits on adolescent academic outcomes.peerReviewe
Integrating micro-credential training in higher education: A proposal for BA dissertation support
