The Effects of Group Experiential Learning on Participants' Social Skills and Lonelines
Get PDFThis study examined the effects of group experiential learning course in college education on participants' social skills and loneliness. One hundred and fifty-nine female students participated in 12 scheduled classes of ninety minutes during a semester. The major aims of the course were for the participants to develop their social skills through the practices about person perception, communication, teamwork, assertion and group discussion. As for the effectiveness of the course,the participants' social skills score (Kikuchi's KiSS-18) and LSO-U score (Dimension of mutual sympathy;Ochiai's LSO) significantly increased during the semester compared to the students who did not participate in the course

Effects of Glancing at a Smartphone in a Conversational Situation on Interpersonal Emotion and Cognition: A Vignette Experiment
Get PDFThe effects of glancing at a smartphone placed on a table in a conversational situation with a friend on interpersonal emotion and cognition were examined in a vignette experiment. Participants were 93 college students (16 males and 77 females). The experimental conditions were a "use group" in which one person used a smartphone during a conversation between two friends, a "glancing group" in which one person glanced at the smartphone on the table, and a "conversation group" in which both put their smartphones away in their bags and concentrated on the conversation. The results showed that the use and glancing groups had higher scores for discomfort, sadness, and anger, and lower scores for familiarity, trust, and goodwill, compared to the conversation group. However, no significant differences were found between the use and glancing groups. These results indicate that, as much as smartphone use, glancing generates negative emotions and perceptions

Get PDF日本において学校給食は、第二次世界大戦後に全国的に拡大した。学校給食の当初の主な目的は児童生徒の栄養改善であったが、2000年代以降は教育的意義がより重要視されるようになり、地産地消や食育の推進という視点も重要になっている。さらに近年では、有機栽培された農産物を学校給食に利用する取り組みが注目されている。
本稿では、日本における学校給食の展開について整理するとともに、大分県臼杵市を事例として、地場産農産物を利用した学校給食の現状と課題を考察した。学校給食における地場産農産物の利用は、地産地消や食育の推進に資するだけではなく、有機農業をはじめとする環境保全型農業の推進にも資するといったように公益性の高い取り組みであることを念頭に置いて、供給体制の整備等を行っていくことが必要であると考えられる
The Effects of Group Experiential Learning on Participants' Social Skills: Focusing on the Individual Difference at the Start of Training
Get PDFThis study examined the effects of group experiential learning course in college education on participants' social skills, focusing on their individual difference. A total of 215 students（females:210, males:5）participated in 13 scheduled classes during a semester. The major aims of the course were for the participants to train their social skills through the practices about person perception, communication, teamwork, assertion and group discussion. As for the researh results, the participants increased their social skills score regardless of their social skills level at the start of the training.
Furthermore, the increase of social skills score of the low level students was larger than that of the high or middle level students. These results suggest that social skills of each participant within a group could be developed through group experiential learning
