The Application of the Rule of Friendship in Adolescence
Get PDFP(論文)The purpose of this study was to investigate the application of the rule of friendship in adolescence. One hundred fifty-seven college students (M. A.=21.0) were asked to complete the questionnaire regarding the rule of friendship; the content of explicit rule and implicit rule, the flexibility of the rules, and the necessity of the rules. The results showed that (1) the implicit rules were applied more than the explicit rule, (2) the college students applied the explicit rule to the situation that they try to contact their friend, but they applied the implicit rule to the situation that they communicate with their friend directly, and (3) while they applied the rules inflexibly concerning the individual problem, they applied them flexibly concerning their interaction. These results suggest that adolescents regulate peer relationship applying some kinds of rules according to situations
