IMPLEMENTING AGILE LEAN IN TELECOM INDUSTRY
With the introduction of new technologies, there has been a huge competition in the Telecom industry to maintain the customer base and stay at the top of the competition. In order to retain the customer base, the telecom companies are required to provide a high quality of service to its customers. Agile Lean practices have been implemented in the manufacturing industries for decades and are well known for eliminating waste, reducing the delivery time of the products and services and at the same time enhance the quality of services provided to its customers. This research paper aims to study the feasibility of implementing agile lean principles and practices in the telecom industry. This research also aims to understand what are the benefits and challenges of implementing agile lean in the telecom industry
Internet of Things (IoT) and Changing Face of Project Management
Internet of Things (IoT) or Industrial Internet is a modern day catchword, which over the past few years has tremendously impacted numerous aspects of almost-all the advanced technology fields. IoT framework envisions transforming the everyday objects into intelligent systems, while working under a common infrastructure and by connecting the global network of devices and machines over the internet. Based on many underlying interdisciplinary ecosystems, like sensor network, embedded systems, big data platforms, cloud computing and service-oriented architecture; IoT projects are non-traditional in many ways. Such projects involve research and development phase, more technical work, are lengthy, require advanced skill sets and lacks well-defined business models. A recent alarming rate of IoT project failures provide incentive to look for project management philosophies, which would emphasize on more flexibility, agility, teamwork and a developing a strong technical framework. This thesis work provides overview of IoT concepts and through a systematic review of scholarly research papers, blogs, review articles, and other literature available online, it addresses the current managerial challenges for such projects. Finally, to solve this issue a focused survey was conducted and collected data was analyzed. Based on the responses from IoT professionals various suggestions are made, which can be used to improve management of such projects
STUDY ON RECOVERY OF BAD SOCIAL MEDIA REVIEWS IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY USING PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES
This research is about hotel guest recovery on social media. Whenever a guest has a bad experience during their stay, they share their opinion on social media. Negative reviews can damage hotel’s performance. This research seeks to gather information on the expectations of guest based on their personal experiences. Answering guests’ complaints on social media is a difficult task, as it requires an understanding of each guest personality traits. This thesis develops a methodology in order to understand the personality of guests, provide a clear response to answer the guests feedback on social media, help hotel managers to regain trust from their guests and reduce the impacts of negative feedback on their performance
IMPROVING SOFTWARE PROJECTS WITH CLOUD COMPUTING

Reasons for Success and Failure of Projects
This paper discusses information from at least ten peer-reviewed project management related articles on project success and failure. The articles provide information on the challenges faced in global projects. This paper will address the link between infrastructure, culture and project outcome.
Regardless of the chosen methodology, there are many possible reasons for project failure, partial success and total success, the articles have discussed different factors which could be a reason or a partial reason for the outcome of a project.
Agile methodology is becoming increasingly popular and utilized on large and complex projects. Large projects that lack clarity in some respects can adopt this methodology as it accommodates the changing nature of the project objectives.
(Symonds, 2012) addressed the importance of effective financial management to keep costs within budget on a large or complex project. The articles also draw attention to the fact that different types of projects could have varying critical success factors, and these would need to be identified for each specific project. The author of each article has a different focus in his or her research on why projects may succeed or fail. (Walid, 1996) explains that there are critical success factors which must be identified and achieved by the project team to attain project success. (Glass, 1999) however, focused on the human contribution to project success or failure. His research addressed the impact that the project manager has on the performance of the project team.

Applying the Agile Mechanism in the Clinical Trails Domain for Drug Development
The current speed of economic growth has greatly affected the means of pharmaceutical organizational operations in the establishment of clinical trials. Pharmaceutical organizations are looking for ways to increase customer experience and reduce costs of production in the process. The customer experiences can be increased by creating a forum for active participation during the processes of the establishment. Equally, the costs of production and conducting research study can be ensured through the reduction of reworking chances. Through the creation of this experience, the effectiveness of the clinical trials needs to be properly created. Traditionally, organizations used waterfall methodology in the development of the clinical trials. The linear processes did not allow for proper correction of the processes and how the customers could understand the progress unless the developments were at certain milestones. The system of operation is still in use today because of the strong traditional background. As a result, organizations are forced to rework certain operations because of the reduced client satisfaction. These reworks force the organizations to spend more on the processes hence reducing the effectiveness of the processes. The introduction of the agile methodology has played a crucial role in the development of cost-effective and efficient processes of clinical trials. MICRO-CREDENTIALING STRATEGIES FOR 21st CENTURY FOOD & AGRICULTURE
This piece was commissioned via grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture through Integrated Agriculture Systems, Inc. The purpose of this project was to establish a working definition and framework for micro-credentialing and proficiency-oriented educational designs capable of addressing growing skills gaps in the important industry sectors of Food, Agriculture, Renewable Resources and Environment. An example application of the micro-credentialing framework and multi-stakeholder engagement methods is focused on the growing industry of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), while the overall model is designed for portability across diverse industry sectors
Analysis of Outpatient HER2 Testing in New York State Using the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System
Background: Human epidermal growth factor-2 (HER2) testing is necessary in the context of therapy with trastuzumab, pertuzumab, lapatinib, and neratinib. There is a paucity of reports describing the utilization rates of HER2 testing in large outpatient populations.
Methods: The Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) was used to examine HER2 testing across the state of New York during the 2012-2016 period.
Results: There was a linear increase in HER2 testing (r = 0.91, p = 0.030). There were increases in HER2 testing observed among minorities, including a 0.5-fold and 3.5-fold increases in individuals identified as black and Asian, respectively. Major state population centers showed the highest HER2 testing.
Conclusions: This study establishes a platform to further evaluate clinical utility, outcomes, and equity of access for “precision oncology” testing
IMPACT OF MOTIVATION ON PROJECT TEAMS’ PERFORMANCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Sufficient motivation is a critical ingredient for any organization to derive optimal performances from their workforce. Project teams are an integral part of the efficient conduction of an information and communication technology company’s core operations. This study is dictated towards the evaluation of the main factors that influence the level of motivation portrayed by team members of information technology project teams. Through a comprehensive literature review, the research was able to uncover insightful trends in motivation patterns among project team members that might be useful to project managers. The findings of this research conclude that a project team manager can improve the motivation of his or her subordinates through proper supervision, provision of training, and through setting proper expectations. A survey conducted also indicated that 66.67% of employees feel motivated by being recognized and rewarded for their good efforts. Additionally, 28.57% of employees feel motivated by salary increments
