Semantic Negotiation Among Autonomous AI Agents: Enabling Real-Time Decision Markets for Big Data-Driven Financial Ecosystems
Weaved in every financial transaction are two key components - words and numbers. These make possible the semantic negotiation of the meaning of value in money markets and the commensuration of things with an associated price. But these are mostly carried out by human actors, and at the micro-level. Markets operating at nano-second intervals, the unprecedented velocity and frequency of these transactions in the current contemporary financial ecosystems make the former impossible. We introduce semantic negotiation talking in natural language about numeric value, enabled by Autonomous AI Agents. Briefly, we describe an architecture for the instantiation of Stock as a Service, a legislative framework for market microstructure that makes possible the automated technical, fundamental, and qualitative trading of financial assets by Autonomous AI Agents, making sense of the associated words and sentences repeated in the fabric of these markets, semantically negotiating the meaning of numeric value, its vagaries and uncertainties, and negotiate for inducing agents to subscribe to this information asymmetry - for a Fee.
We combine foundational ideas developed in Natural Language Processing and Link Mining. We describe the envisioned self-organizing and self-regulating intelligent socio-technological ecosystems for semantic negotiation among Autonomous AI Agents in financial ecosystems that are responsive to policy and agent governance heuristics. The idea of Stock as a Service allows only those products made possible by this architecture and its market microstructure for asset price determination. For promoting needed transparency and disclosure for these products, and for promulgating the regulations needed for this market microstructure to create and enable autonomous trading by guiding new types of instruments like Digital Cowries
Comprehensive Analysis of Foreign Object Detection Techniques for Safe Electric Vehicle Charging
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has grown exponentially in recent years, making EV charging infrastructure an essential aspect of modern transportation. The safety and reliability of EV charging stations are crucial factors for their widespread adoption. Foreign object detection (FOD) technology is critical in detecting and preventing foreign objects from entering charging interface. This can cause damage, safety hazards and downtime of charging station. This research paper presents a comprehensive survey of FOD for EV charging, highlighting various techniques and technologies used for FOD, their advantages, limitations, recent advancements and references from several research papers. The different types of FOD detection, such as mechanical, visual, electrical, thermodynamic and magnetic detection of foreign objects are reviewed in detail. This includes their working principles, performance and suitability for different objects and environments. In addition, impact of various factors on FOD performance, such as temperature, living objects, magnetic fields and electromagnetic interference, is discussed and methods to mitigate their effects are explored. The survey concludes by summarizing all information gathered from various papers for EV charging and highlighting the direction towards which this research is headed for future. The survey provides a valuable reference for researchers, practitioners and policymakers in the field of EV charging infrastructure. The insights obtained from this study can help stakeholders draft better products, policies and optimized solutions for EV charging domain
Revolutionizing Justice: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Law Enforcement
This paper focuses on how criminal processes have changed as a result of the advancement of digital technologies in the global arena, where artificial intelligence has a vital role to play. We show that the United States uses a range of digital technologies in court cases, and that legal start-ups that specialise in artificial intelligence (AI) are able to predict the details of a future court ruling with a high degree of certainty. It is evident that the majority of Member States of the European Union (EU) have already incorporated cutting-edge technology into their legal systems and legal support. However, a more thorough examination of how artificial intelligence complies with the principles of the European Convention on Human Rights is necessary in order to use it in court (ECHR). The European Ethical Charter on the Use of Artificial Intelligence, which specifies five essential standards for the use of AI in legal proceedings, may be helpful in relation to the aforementioned. The most current advancements and uses of AI in the realm of criminal justice are the main topics of this essay. Digital Transformation and Sustainability in Developing Economies: How Industry 4.0 Drives Green Practices: A Systematic Literature Review
In the context of the rapid physical pace of digitalization and the emergence of an environmental agenda, the embrace of Industry 4.0 technologies within sustainability frameworks around the globe is in an accelerated state. This is especially true in developing economies, which are looking into how these advances in technology (artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and Big Data) propel green transitions and address environmental challenges. The present research involves a systematic literature review of the existing literature that reviews the intersections between digital transformation and environmental sustainability with meaning in developing contexts. Through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, we reviewed the peer reviewed articles obtained from Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect databases, based on the PRISMA framework for article selection The review frames the literature, limited to 2010-2023, and synthesizes to structure around the themes of adoption, barriers to implementation, sectoral considerations, and policy considerations. The review indicates that Industry 4.0 technologies present a significant opportunity for improved energy efficiency, waste reduction, and green innovation, but their uptake is limited by infrastructure, availability of digital skills, and weak policy support in less developed contexts. In contrast, enablers include cross-sectoral collaboration, institutional support, and ESG frameworks. Numerous opportunities for application exist including, but not limited to, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, and logistics. The review provides a contribution to knowledge for academia by bringing together otherwise fragmented knowledge and offering a conceptual platform to guide future research. Policymakers and practitioners will find this piece useful in adding structure and direction to emerging digital sustainability strategies. Overall, the review reinforces the necessity for local and inclusive approaches to realise the transformative opportunities Industry 4.0 can present for sustainable development
Humic Substances In Water Behind Taleghan Dam, Iran In 2022
Natural organic matter (NOM) is ubiquitous in water sources, particularly in dam reservoirs. Fulvic acids, humic acids, and humins can act as precursors to trihalomethanes (THMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs) generated during water disinfection. This study aimed to quantify humic substances in the water behind Taleghan Dam, a vital water source for Tehran, which has experienced declining levels due to climate change. In the summer and autumn of 2022, samples were taken at three stations. Elevated concentrations of humic acid and fulvic acid were observed in summer, peaking at 0.191 mg.L-1 and 1.372 mg.L-1, respectively, while the highest concentration of humin (1.382 mg.L-1) was observed in autumn. Total humic substances (THS) peaked in summer (August) before the entry point into the lake, likely due to decreased rainfall and increased bioactivity. Fluctuations in dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations were noted across months and stations, ranging from 5.6 to 190 mg.L-1. The highest DOC concentrations were observed at stations 1 and 2 in October. Specific ultraviolet absorbance (SUVA) values below 2 L.mg-1.m-1 indicated the potential for HAA formation. All samples throughout the study exhibited THMFP concentrations surpassing drinking water standards. These findings suggest the potential for disinfection byproduct formation in the water. The study linked variations in humic substances to prevalent soil types, urban expansion, and land use changes along riverbanks. The findings highlight the importance of monitoring water quality to manage the formation and control of THMs in Taleghan Dam
High-Frequency Circuit Design For Power Electronics In Modern Communication Devices
In the rapidly changing world of modern communication devices, high-frequency circuit design is crucial to the successful working of the power electronics. These circuits are vital in improving the performance and the energy consumption of the communication systems, in wireless communication, satellite communication and mobile phones. This paper describes the developments in high-frequency circuit design used in the power electronics of modern communication devices. It discusses challenges of operations such as high-frequency signal integrity, impedance matching, thermal management, and miniaturization. The study presents an exhaustive review of different design methodologies, circuit topologies and materials that are adopted in the high-frequency power electronics that are proceeded by detailed metrics of their performance. The findings underscore the necessity of incorporating advanced technologies like gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) into design procedures that will produce better power efficiency and less heat dissipation
Linking Transformational Leadership With Employees’ Job Performance And Satisfaction In Uncertain Environment: A Moderation Mediation Analysis
The hospitality industry has experienced a considerable decrease in employee satisfaction and performance in the post-pandemic era. Using social exchange theory, this study examines the role of transformational leadership (TL) in employee performance in an unfavorable environment of hotels in Pakistan. It also undertakes work engagement (WEN) as a mediator and social interaction (SI) as a moderator in the relationship of TL and performance. Using cross-sectional design, data were gathered from 230 frontline hotel association workers through physically administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed using mediation-moderation techniques. The results show that even in the most vulnerable conditions, employee performance can positively be enhanced using managers’ transformation style of leadership. Further, WEN and Knowledge management (KM) are found to entirely mediate the relationship between TL, job performance (JP) and job satisfaction (JS). In addition, SI bears a moderating effect on the linkage of TL, KM and WEN. This research promulgates a framework model to help policy makers in emerging economies to formulate the most effective HR polices by highlighting a key role of TL in hospitality industry. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to examine the role of TL in reinvigorating employee performance in uncertain environments. Children's rights should be acknowledged within the contemporary educational environment in an effort to create well-informed and accountable citizens. In this study, the creation of a gamified platform with the aim of improving
legal literacy among Indian children is presented. Through the gaming and interactive narrative components, the gamified platform educates children on their rights. With the additional incorporation of an AI assistant that offers real-time answers to queries on the rights of the child. The software delivers an engaging learning processby combining the principles of child psychology, law education, and gamification. Research methodology involved user testing, iterative design cycles, and an extensive literature review, all of which ensured the effectiveness and flexibility of the platform. The results show outstanding improvements in children's understanding of their rights, showcasing the gamification and artificial intelligence functionality in law education. The piece ends with suggestions for further enhancement and widespread platform application
Effectiveness Of Customer Relationship Management In Healthcare Industry: A Study In Coimbatore
This study aims to evaluate the customer relationship management of hospitals in the healthcare industry with reference to Coimbatore city. The research utilizes a quantitative approach, employing a structured questionnaire to gather data from patients who have received treatment in various public and private hospitals in the city. The main objective is to analyze the impact of technology on healthcare customer relationship management. The key dimensions of customer relationship management examined include tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, based on the SERVQUAL model. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and factor analysis to assess patient satisfaction and identify the factors influencing customer relationship management. The results indicate that while private hospitals generally provide higher customer relationship management in terms of responsiveness and empathy, government hospitals excel in reliability and affordability. However, both sectors face challenges in improving overall patient satisfaction, especially related to wait times and communication. The study concludes that enhancing customer relationship management in Coimbatore’s hospitals requires a concerted effort from both public and private sectors to improve infrastructure, staff training, and patient communication
