Implementing lifetime performance index of products from type-II right - censored data using Lomax distribution
Process capability analysis has been widely applied in the manufacturing industry to monitor the performance of industrial processes. The lifetime performance index CL is used to assess the performance and potential of their process, where L is the lower specification limit. In the case of product processing a two-parameter Lomax distribution, the study will apply the transformation technology to construct a maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of CL based on type-II right-censored data. Then, the MLE of the CL is utilized to develop the new hypothesis testing procedure in the condition known as lower specification limit. Finally, we give an example and the Monte Carlo simulation to assess the behavior of the proposed method under the given significance level

Movement Observation-Analysis (MOA): How a new conceptual framework supports a better understanding of the coherence of the functional and expressive dimensions of movement
Our research proposes to bring together two approaches to qualitative movement analysis used in dance, Laban Movement Analysis (LMA), and Functional Analysis of the Dancing Body [L’Analyse Fonctionnelle du Corps dans le Mouvement Dansé] (AFCMD) in order to better represent the interplay between the functional and expressive dimensions of movement. The methodology designed for this research combines a phenomenological perspective and explicitation interviews with experts followed by an “activity analysis.” Our efforts led to two types of results: an understanding of the processes underlying the observation-analysis activity of the observers, and a proposed crosscutting conceptual framework integrating the main precepts the two approaches considered. The “Activity Analysis” epistemology allowed us to identify a distinctive configuration of activities specific to each of the approaches. In addition, the new framework graphs the identified observables in three overlapping spheres – Ground, Space and Dynamics – placing at the heart of the schema the integration of the dimensions of Function and Expression
People Before Process: Utilizing the Appreciative Education Framework to Navigate Challenges and Maximize Opportunities
Leaders in higher education are facing new challenges that do not have a clear path forward. Utilizing the Appreciative Education framework, leaders can leverage the knowledge and expertise of team members by building trust, asking generative questions, and celebrating success. This people before process approach creates and environment where each team member can contribute at their best
Motif Writing for Meaning-Making and Show Maintenance in Intimacy Choreography
Intimacy Direction, a relatively new field in stage and film industries, refers to creating and setting moments of intimacy. Moments of intimacy may be defined as moments that require personal vulnerability between characters, often involving physical contact. The goal of having Intimacy Choreography is to create work that respects the agency and boundaries of the performers, while telling the story of the play, musical, ballet, film, etc. An important aspect of choreography is that it is repeatable. Therefore, documentation is necessary. The Laban Bartenieff Movement System is an incredible tool for Intimacy Directors/Choreographers because it provides a neutral language for coaching and creating movement coupled with notation and motif. This paper explores how the author used motif as a choreographer and intimacy director/choreographer to support her creative process, and how the use of motif bolsters the creative process of the entire production, as choreography is set, documented, and maintained
Becoming Allies Accomplices: Problematizing the Intersection of Reflection and Action through Pre-Service Teachers’ Autoethnographies as Praxis
Allies would be in strikethrough in the title. This paper explores the phenomenon of pre-service teachers becoming accomplices for racial justice. Using hermeneutic phenomenology, we examine the experiences of three white, female pre-service teachers navigating this terrain.A framework we are naming autoethnography as praxis emerged from this inquiry. Our research interrogates the notion of white allies and the intersection of critical dialogue and action in pre-service teacher education. Building off of perspectives in critical race and critical whiteness studies, this work is grounded in the reality of the material permanence of white supremacy that white teachers must acknowledge and develop tools to dismantle.Autoethnography as praxis moves students from simply analyzing and reporting their experiences (including their emerging understanding of white privilege) through autoethnography to examining how their experiences have shaped and will continue to shape their identities and practices as teachers. By reframing autoethnography as a dialogue between researcher and her texts, we hope to push beyond reflection to action.Autoethnography as praxis also addresses the flaw of white teachers acting as benevolent allies who set their own agenda and position people of color as “needing their assistance.” It pushes participants to engage their action in reflection, moving them past their own experiences
Plurality, Narratives, and Politics: What Hannah Arendt can Offer Critical Literacy Theory
In recent years, scholars, journalists, and citizens have turned to Hannah Arendt’s writings to make sense of human plurality and resist right-wing nationalist movements around the globe. This article discusses Arendt’s ideas of plurality, narratives, and politics and describes how these ideas can help critical literacy theory focus on both social groups and unique persons. For Arendt, the human world is a world of plurality because it includes not only diverse social groups, but also human selves living unique versions of group lives. This latter kind of plurality is difficult to see in some approaches to critical literacy. Arendt argues the plurality of unique persons becomes visible when people tell life narratives in particular ways. Given this view of plurality and narratives, the political question of who counts as members of a public is, in part, a question of whose stories are told. Arendt insists this is not only a question of a person telling her own story; it is also a question of a person hearing her story told by others. These arguments can add new dimensions to critical literacy’s view of diversity and the politics of reading, writing, speaking, thinking, and listening

Envisioning Critical Social Entrepreneurship Education: Possibilities, Questions, and Guiding Commitments
Higher education institutions continue to be increasingly interested in examining how social entrepreneurship and community engaged approaches to education can work together. In light of the recent growth and interest in such programs, scholars and educators have called for attention to specific considerations when developing SE and community-based education, which can be summed up in three areas - pedagogy, relationships, and impact. The present essay builds on such propositions, and calls for a critically-orientated approach to SE, grounded in community engagement, collaborative dialogue among diverse voices, and a commitment to transforming oppressive structures
