The Book of Honor was created just following World War II to honor those of Bangor who had died during the War. Mr. L. Felix Ranlett, then Librarian of the Bangor Public Library, and a veteran of WWI, put this book together to honor Bangor\u27s fallen. There are 113 veterans, who gave their lives in almost every campaign and major battle of the Second World War. The dedication ceremony was broadcast live & recorded by WLBZ Bangor. The complete recording is about 57 minutes -- only ten minutes are presented here. These ten minutes correspond with the reading of each man\u27s name -- accompanined by his page in the Book of Honor -- at the dedication. The Reverend Lewis M. Brehaut, pastor at the First Baptist Church of Bangor, reads the names. Also included are pages from the program of the dedication presented to the audience on that day
