Effect of Qigong on Biological Indicators and Psychiatric Symptoms of Schizophrenics
Get PDFP(論文)目的:統合失調症者に及ぼす気功の効果を評価するため、生物学的測度と精神医学検査が施行された。方法:統合失調症と診断された16名の入院患者を気功群と統制群に分け、気功群には12週間の気功トレーニングを実施し、介入前後で両群に諸検査を実施した。結果:気功群では有意なコルチゾールの低下がみられた。一方、エピネフリンは統制群でのみ有意な上昇を示した。測定値の正常値との比較では、気功群ではノルエピネフリンの正常化がみられ、精神症状でも幾つかの項目で有意な低下がみられた。考察:気功群では、コルチゾールの低下とノルエピネフリンの正常化がみられ、また統制群でのみエピネフリンの有意な上昇がみられたが、これは気功群においては、気功によってストレスの軽減がなされ、エピネフリンの上昇が抑制されたためと考えられる。以上より、気功トレーニングは、統合失調症者のストレス軽減に有用であることが示唆された。Objective: Both biological measurement and psychiatric testing were performed to evaluate the effects of qigong on schizophrenics. Methods: Sixteen hospitalized patients diagnosed as schizophrenics were divided into two groups (qigong group and controls). The qigong training was done with qigong group for twelve weeks. The measurements were performed twice, before and after the qigong intervention. Result: Regarding biological indicators, the qigong group showed significantly lowering in cortisol. On the other hand, epinephrine was significantly elevated only in the control group. Compared with the normal range, the qigong group showed normalization of norepinephrine. In the qigong group, psychiatric score showed significant lowering in some items. Discussion: Overall, both biological and psychiatric indicators showed some significant changes in both groups. In the qigong group, lowering of cortisol and normalization of norepinephrine was observed. These facts suggest that the stress reduction might be brought by qigong. In the control group, epinephrine was significantly elevated. This fact suggests that in the qigong group, elevation of epinephrine be inhibited by qigong. These facts suggest that qigong training be useful for the chronic schizophrenics to get stress reduction.departmental bulletin pape

Theories of Management Process in Management and the Historical Characteristics
Get PDFP(論文)I intend to describe the historical characteristics of Management Process School and the theories which belong to the school in this paper. As we know, Harold Koontz said that the Management theories were complex and various, so he presented this inclination as Management Theory Jungle in 1961. His position is what we call a member of the school and he recognized himself as an important member of the school. The history of this school lasts for a long time and the influence exists in the modern aged management. At the beginning of this school the most important thing which I am to describe is the principles which are the elements in managing functions above all. All persons who work in enterprises will benefit from learning about managing as we can guess. They include, for example, aspiring managers, those people who already have posessed managerial skills and who want to become more effective, and other professionals who want to understand the organization in which they work. According to this logic the principles of management are necessary in any organization including non-profit management. Of course we can say that all managers undertake the same basic functions to obtain results by establishing an environment for effective and efficient performance of individuals operating in groups. Anyway the Management Process School has been existing for a long time basically a century. There so many factors and principles that we have to adopt to the management in the modern time. Public assistance and work incentives to the low-income families in the United Kingdom
Get PDFP(論文)This article will describe the "Working Families' Tax credit" (hereinafter called WFTC) scheme and examine the impact on the behavior of low-income families in the UK. The WFTC is the first scheme in the UK, which combined tax system with benefit system, which could render them a financial incentive to work. The WFTC is designed to increase the net income of the recipient families with full time working, which could resolve so-called "poverty trap". In the first section of this article, the background and historical context of the development of WFTC scheme in the UK will be revealed. In the second section, the outline of WFTC will be described from the comparative viewpoint with precedent schemes. In the third section, the significance of WFTC will be examined from the three different aspects i.e. 1) cost for childcare and impact on the behavior of low income families to work, 2) structural relationship between working hour and net income under WFTC scheme, and 3) WFTC and work incentive from the viewpoint of the empirical research date. In the final section, it will be argued that WFTC is positioned in the context of the change of childcare policy, and that WFTC played an important role to solve poverty trap of "income support" though, WFTC itself has generated a new poverty trap of WFTC to the people with this scheme.departmental bulletin pape
A Study of the Conception of School Pedagogy in Frobel
Get PDFP(論文)Frobel's pedagogy develops at first as he lays emphasis on the conception of school pedagogy. Because he thinks that the education reform is realized by the conception of school before he turns his attention to the importance of the conception of childcare and home reform. In this paper, first I explain Frobel's opinion which means that the education of juvenile period puts universal education into practice as I pay attention to the end of "The education of man". Next I study how the basic instruction in Keilhau inherits the conception of national educational facilities in "Helba Plan". Last I survey the whole conception of Frobel's school pedagogy from the viewpoint of the school pedagogy of "The education of man" and the plans of national educational facilities in Helba and Brugdorf, as I am based on Heiland's theory. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to explain that Frobel's basic instruction takes a leading part in his school pedagogy of "The education of man" and also in his plans of national educational facilities and that the subjects in his conception of school is developed from the viewpoint of connection of home with school.departmental bulletin pape
