    DETERMINATION CARBOHYDRATE LEVEL OF WHITE RICE IN THE RICE COOKER HEATING PROCESS WITH TIME VARIATION

    Rice is the staple food of processed rice commonly consumed by the people of Indonesia. The content of rice consists of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and water. Carbohydrates have a role as a major energy source for humans to perform its activities. People tend to prefer to consume rice in a warm environment. Rice warmers are widely used in the community is a rice cooker. The purpose of this study is to determine the carbohydrate levels in rice heated in a rice cooker with a time variation of 0; 6; 12; 18 and 24 hours. This type of research is quantitative where the data is presented without statistics and described descriptively. This study was conducted in May 2017 using a sample of rice heated in a rice cooker with variations of time. Result: Obtained carbohydrate content from time variation 0 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours and 24 hours that is 16,87%, 14,22%, 10,26%, 9,30% and 8,97%. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the longer time the rice in the rice cooker, the lower the carbohydrate level. This research can be used as input matter for society to arrange healthy lifestyles in concuming carbohydrate everyday especially for diabetics is expected to not consume rice immediately after ripe, but wait a few minutes to decreas carbohydrate level.

    The Influence of Personal Hygiene Education in Elderly At Banjar Pemalukan Desa Peguyangan

    Personal Hygiene is  very important for prevention  diseases,  Personal Hygiene in Elderly, including hair, mouth and teeth, and genetalia. To get a good and right Personal Hygiene, needs good knowledge. The purpose of this research is to know The Influence of Education to Personal Hygiene elderly at Banjar Pemalukan Desa Peguyangan in 2017. Method :This research use One Group Pre-Post test Design. Total sample is about 43 elderly at Banjar Pemalukan Desa Peguyangan . Result : The result of the research shows that before researcher give the Personal Hygiene Education, gets 7 elderly that less knowledge about the Personal Hygiene, and 36 elderly that has enough knowledge about the Personal Hygiene. After researcher give the Personal Hygiene Education, gets 7 elderly that still enough knowledge about the Personal Hygiene and 27 elderly that has better knowledge about the Personal Hygiene. The result of the behavior after researcher give the education, 16 elderly shows good behavior personal hygiene. Discussion : Based on Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test gets p-value=0.000 means that there are an influence of Personal Hygiene Education in elderly At Banjar Pemalukan Desa Peguyangan

    IDENTIFIKIASI AMFETAMINE, MARIJUANA DAN MORFIN PADA URINE SISWA SMA “X” DENGAN RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TEST

    Introduction: High rates of drug abuse, especially Amfetamine, Marijuana dan Morfin in Indonesia, including vulnerable areas where circulation is the island of Bali. One of which is the area of Badung, where the victims and targets of drug dealers are adolescents aged 11-24 years. drug should be used for treatment and research, But for various reasons. Drug addicts have been abused. The reasons this research is to identify compounds amfetamine, marijuana and morfin in the urine high school students of class XI language in “X” district of Badung with a rapid diagnostic test. Method: used in this research rapid diagnostic test. Samples were taken through the draw of 2 classes, each 0f which was taken 16 people to obtain 32 urine samples,result from 32 urine samples with a total of 12 women, the number of mem as many as 20 people aged 16-18. With the acknowledgment of not taking drugs. Result: obtained 100% absence amfetamine, marijuana and morfin on the urine sample. Discussion:  School advised always to provide guidance on how to avoid the use of drugs to students and parents.Pendahuluan: Tingginya kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba khususnya amfetamine, marijuana dan morfin di Indonesia, dimana daerah yang termasuk rentan peredarannya adalah Pulau Bali. Salah satunya di Kabupaten Badung, dimana yang menjadi korban dan sasaran pengedar narkoba adalah remaja usia 11 - 24 tahun. Narkoba seharusnya digunakan untuk pengobatan dan penelitian. Tetapi karena berbagai alasan, narkoba menjadi disalahgunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa amfetamine, marijuana, morfin pada urine siswa kelas XI IPB SMA “X” di Kabupaten Badung dengan rapid diagnostic test. Metode:  yang digunakan yaitu rapid diagnostic test. Sampel diambil melalui  pengundian dari 2 kelas yang masing-masing diambil 16 orang sehingga memperoleh sebanyak 32 urine sampel, Hasil dari  32 urine sampel dengan jumlah perempuan sebanyak 12 orang, jumlah laki-laki sebanyak 20 orang dengan usia 16 – 18 tahun.  dengan pengakuan tidak mengkonsumsi obat – obatan terlarang. Hasil:   Didapatkan hasil 100% tidak adanya senyawa amfetamine, marijuana dan morfin pada urine sampel. Diskusi: Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dapat di simpulkan bahwa dari 32 urine sampel tidak ada yang menggunakan narkoba. Disarankan pihak sekolah selalu memberikan pengarahan tentang cara menghindari penggunaan narkoba kepada siswa dan orang tua siswa

    Snacks or cakes are ready-to-eat foods whose ingredients are made from glutinous rice flour and processed by food producers as ready-to-eat food for sale to the general public. Generally cakes sold added food additives, the use of food additives can be positive and negative (harmful) for the community. One of the dangerous food additives is the Rhodamin B dye. The purpose of this research is to identify Rhodamine B on cake Ku sold at Pasar Agung Peninjoan Village. Method: using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Result: The identification shows the Rf price of the five samples 0.58, while the standard Rf is 0.70. Because the difference of Rf sample to the standard is less than 0.2.  Discussion:the five positive samples contain Rhodamine B.     Introduction: Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) is a type of low-density lipoprotein and the most widely transported cholesterol in the body. Increased levels of LDL in the body can be affected by genetics, age, gender, obesity, physical activity, lifestyle, drug consumption and smoking. Substances in a cigarette can cause an increase of LDL levels. Increased of LDL cholesterol levels can cause Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). The purpose of this research is to know the description of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) levels on smoker and non-smoker adolescent in Buyan Hamlet, Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Bali. Method: The type of this research is descriptive. This research was conducted in April-May 2017, which used fasting blood samples of 42 respondents. Result: From the average result of LDL level in smoker adolescent that is 134,91 mg/dL higher than the average of LDL level in non-smoker adolescent that is 74,90 mg/dL. The result of LDL cholesterol levels was determined by 21 smoker adolescent respondents with the close to optimal category (100-129 mg/dL) as many as 9 people (42,8%), and 12 people (57,3%) with worry category (130-159 mg/dL). Whereas in 21 non-smoker adolescent respondents obtained  result of LDL cholesterol level test with optimal category (<100 mg/dL) counted 18 people (87,71%) and 3 person (14,30%) with close to optimal category (100-129 mg/dL). Discussion: Based on the results of this research can be concluded that in smoker adolescent obtained LDL levels with close to optimal category and worrying whereas in non-smoker adolescents obtained LDL levels in the optimal category and close to optimal.Pendahuluan: Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) merupakan jenis lipoprotein densitas rendah dan merupakan lipoprotein yang paling banyak mengangkut kolesterol di dalam tubuh. Peningkatan kadar LDL di dalam tubuh dapat dipengaruhi oleh genetik, usia, jenis kelamin, obesitas, aktifitas fisik, pola hidup, konsumsi obat-obatan dan merokok. Zat-zat di dalam rokok dapat menyebabkan peningkatan kadar LDL. Kadar kolesterol LDL meningkat yang dapat menyebabkan Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) pada remaja perokok dan bukan perokok di Dusun Buyan Desa Pancasari Kecamatan Sukasada Buleleng Bali. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April-Mei 2017, yang menggunakan sampel darah puasa sebanyak 42 responden. Hasil: Dari hasil  rerata kadar LDL pada remaja perokok lebih tinggi yaitu 134,91 mg/dL dibandingkan dengan rerata kadar LDL pada remaja bukan perokok 74,90 mg/dL. Hasil pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol LDL pada 21 orang responden remaja perokok dengan kategori mendekati optimal (100-129mg/dL) sebanyak 9 orang (42,8%), dan 12 orang (57,3%) dengan kategori mengkhawatirkan (130-159mg/dL). Sedangkan pada 21 orang responden remaja bukan perokok diperoleh hasil pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol LDL dengan kategori optimal (<100mg/dL) sebanyak 18 orang (87,71%) dan 3 orang (14,30%) dengan kategori mendekati optimal (100-129mg/dL).Diskusi: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada remaja perokok didapatkan kadar LDL dalam kategori mendekati optimal dan mengkhawatirkan sedangkan pada remaja bukan perokok didapatkan kadar LDL dalam kategori optimal dan mendekati optimal
