The impact of framing on narrative in Breaking Bad's The Passage
No full textBakalářská práce se zabývá filmařskými postupy, které tvůrci seriálu Breaking Bad využívají k dosažení dramatických a napínavých situací. Také se soustředí na subtilní provedení různých tvůrčích výzev, se kterými se filmaři běžně potkávají. Práce se soustředí primárně na způsob kamerového vyprávění, kde nejdůležitějším pojmem je záběr. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se záběru, jeho velikostí a dalších definujících prvků, přičemž je kladen důraz na srozumitelnost pro široké spektrum čtenářů. V analytické části se práce zabývá rozborem některých scén z epizody Průchod, přičemž se zaměřuje na techniky záběrování a jejich vliv na narativní a stylovou rovinu příběhu. Cílem je objevení drobných, ale přesto hybných prvků vizuálního vyprávění, přičemž je zdůrazněn význam kameramanských rozhodnutí, které při pečlivém pozorování mohou dovézt diváka k zamyšlení nad jejich možnými interpretačními vrstvami.The bachelor's thesis deals with the filmmaking techniques used by the creators of the Breaking Bad series to achieve dramatic and suspenseful situations. It also focuses on the subtle execution of various creative challenges that filmmakers commonly encounter. The work focuses primarily on the method of camera narration, where the most important concept is the shot. In the theoretical part, the basic concepts related to the shot, its sizes and other defining elements are defined, while the emphasis is on comprehensibility for a wide range of readers. In the analytical part, the work deals with the analysis of some scenes from the episode Passage, while focusing on filming techniques and their influence on the narrative and stylistic level of the story. The aim is the discovery of subtle, but still moving elements of visual storytelling, while emphasizing the importance of cinematographer's decisions, which, upon careful observation, can lead the viewer to think about their possible layers of interpretation.Ateliér Audioviz
Production and Application Possibilities of Bacterial Cellulose Material
No full textBakalářská práce se zabývá výrobním procesem a možnostmi optimalizace materiálu z bakteriální celulózy pro využití v textilním průmyslu. Teoretická část se věnuje otázce udržitelnosti textilního odvětví a poskytuje přehled ekologických alternativ textilních materiálů, mezi něž patří i bakteriální celulóza. Experimentální část je zaměřena na kultivaci buničitého filmu prostřednictvím bakterie kmene Acetobacter xylinum a biologických procesů fermentace v nekvalifikovaných podmínkách. Parametry získaného materiálu jsou měřeny laboratorními metodami podle specifických postupů, které odpovídají požadavkům ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. Experiment dále zahrnuje soubor vzorků vytvořený z kombuchové kultury. Výstupem práce je realizace produktové řady obsahující nejméně 4 produkty, soubor vzorků a výsledky laboratorních analýz bakteriální celulózy. Cílem je rovněž představit možnosti optimalizace a potenciál využití tohoto materiálu v různých kreativních oborech.The bachelor's thesis focuses on the production process and potential optimization of bacterial cellulose for application in the textile industry. The theoretical part addresses sustainability issues within the textile sector and provides an overview of ecological alternatives to conventional textile materials, including bacterial cellulose. The experimental part is dedicated to the cultivation of a cellulosic film using the Acetobacter xylinum strain through biological fermentation processes in non-laboratory conditions. The properties of the resulting material are evaluated using laboratory methods in accordance with the procedures defined by ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. The experiment also includes a set of samples produced from kombucha culture. The outcome of the thesis consists of a product line comprising at least four items, a set of experimental samples, and results from laboratory analyses of bacterial cellulose. The aim is also to explore the potential for optimization and application of this material across various creative disciplines.Ateliér Design oděv
Philosophical Dimensions in the Films Ex Machina and Annihilation
No full textTato diplomová práce se zabývá filozofickým a žánrovým přesahem dvou klíčových filmů režiséra Alexe Garlanda - Ex Machina (2014) a Anihilace (2018). Cílem je analyzovat, jak prostřednictvím žánrové hybridizace sci-fi a hororu Garland otevírá zásadní existenciální a etické otázky současnosti. Práce ukazuje, že formální preciznost, stylistická inovace a narativní struktury těchto filmů nejsou jen prostředkem k vytvoření napětí, ale i nástrojem filozofické reflexe témat, jako jsou posthumanismus, ekologická transformace a proměna lidské identity. V teoretickém rámci jsou využity přístupy Johna Trubyho (žánrová hybridizace), Stefana Herbrechtera (posthumanismus) a Timothyho Mortona (temná ekologie). Metodologicky se práce opírá o stylistickou analýzu, přičemž zvláštní důraz je kladen na vizuální a zvukovou estetiku, prostorové uspořádání, charakterizaci postav a žánrový kontext. Závěry práce ukazují, že Garlandovy filmy lze chápat jako moderní filozofická podobenství, která reflektují nejistotu současného světa.This thesis explores the philosophical and genre-transcending dimensions of two key films by director Alex Garland - Ex Machina (2014) and Annihilation (2018). It aims to analyze how Garland, through the hybridization of science fiction and horror, engages with essential existential and ethical issues of the contemporary world. The thesis demonstrates that formal precision, stylistic innovation, and narrative strategies in these films serve not only to create tension but also to articulate philosophical reflections on posthumanism, ecological transformation, and the shifting boundaries of human identity. The theoretical framework draws on John Truby's concept of genre hybridization, Stefan Herbrechter's posthumanist theory, and Timothy Morton's dark ecology. Methodologically, the thesis is grounded in stylistic analysis with a particular focus on visual and sonic aesthetics, spatial composition, characterization, and genre context. The concluding interpretation frames Garland's films as contemporary philosophical allegories reflecting the uncertainties of our time.Ateliér Audioviz

No full textTato bakalářská práce zkoumá roli historických vozidel v cestopisných dokumentárních filmech. Pomocí analýz aplikovaných na dva vybrané snímky se práce snaží prokázat, že historická vozidla nejsou jen pouhým dopravním prostředkem, ale že se stávají hlavními hybateli děje a ovlivňují strukturu i rytmus filmu. Provedené analýzy zároveň poukazují na to, že střih cestopisného dokumentárního filmu se zaměřením na historická vozidla má svá specifika a odlišuje se od klasických dokumentárních filmů.This bachelor thesis explores the role of historic vehicles in travel documentaries. Through analyses applied to two selected films, the thesis seeks to demonstrate that historical vehicles are not just a mere means of transport, but that they become the main drivers of the plot and influence the structure and rhythm of the film. The analyses performed also show that the editing of a travel documentary focusing on historical vehicles has its own specificities and differs from traditional documentaries.Ateliér Audioviz

Cílem této práce je v kontextu současných poznatků z teorie i praxe představit a analyzovat komunikaci regionální rozhlasové stanice a navrhnout novou komunikační strategii. Práce je rozložena do tří částí - teoretické, praktické a projektové. Teoretická se zabývá rozhlasovým trhem a jeho specifiky, marketingovou komunikací a strategií a v neposlední řadě marketingovým výzkumem a metodologií práce. Druhá část se zabývá analýzou sekundárních dat, obsahovou analýzou komunikačních kanálů stanice i konkurence a kvantitativním výzkumem, který byl pro tuto práci vytvořen a jeho výsledky. Poslední projektová část se zabývá samotným návrhem komunikačního plánu stanice.This diploma thesis deals with the marketing communication of the Czech Radio Olomouc. The aim of this thesis is to present and analyze the communication of the regional radio station in the context of current knowledge from theory and practice and to propose a new communication strategy. The thesis is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and project. The theoretical part deals with the radio market and its specifics, marketing communication and stratégy, marketing research and methodology of the work. The second part deals with the analysis of secondary data, content analysis of the communication channels of the station and the competition and quantitative research that was created for this thesis and its results. No full textTato diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a optimalizací plechových dílů vyráběných technologií hlubokého tažení. Cílem je navrhnout vhodnou geometrii dílů a následně analyzovat proces tváření tak, aby vyhovoval stanoveným požadavkům. Simulace procesu jsou prováděny v software AutoForm, přičemž na základě postupné optimalizace jsou vyhodnocovány jednotlivé varianty. Výsledkem práce je návrh finální úpravy výrobního procesu vedoucí ke zlepšení kvality tvářených dílů a zvýšení efektivity výroby.This diploma thesis focuses on the design and optimization of sheet metal parts manufactured using the deep drawing process. The aim is to propose the geometry of a suitable part and subsequently analyze the forming process to ensure compliance with the specified requirements. The process simulations are conducted in AutoForm software, where various design variants are evaluated based on a gradual optimization approach. The outcome of this work is a proposal for the final adjustment of the manufacturing process, leading to improved quality of the formed parts and increased production efficiency.Ústav výrobního inženýrstv
Optimization of the Fixture Design and Milling Process of a VOLVO Part
No full textTématem diplomové práce je úprava a vývoj výroby dílu pro zákazníka VOLVO, který má zájem o sériové dodávky dílů pro řídící ústrojí přední nápravy elektricky poháněných nákladních vozidel. Díl je vyráběn metodou frézování na frézovacím centru. Cílem diplomové práce je úprava upínání dílce na přípravek. Návrh je proveden v CAD/CAM systému "Siemens NX". Vytvořen je nový technologický postup a na konci provedeno porovnání optimalizace s původním řešením. Cílem je zrychlení výroby, a především zvýšení kvality dílců po obrobení.The topic of the thesis will be the modification and development of the production of a part for a VOLVO customer interested in the serial supply of parts for the front axle steering gear of electrically driven trucks. The part is produced by the milling method on a milling centre. The aim of the thesis will be to modify the clamping of the part on the jig. The design will be done in the CAD/CAM system "Siemens NX". A new technological process will be designed and at the end a comparison of the optimization with the original design will be made. Design and Development of an Injection Mold for a Technical Part
No full textTato bakalářská práce se zabývá konstrukcí a vývojem vstřikovací formy pro technický díl. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na rozdělení polymerních materiálů, technologii vstřikování a její cyklus. Dále se také zaměřuje na základní rozdělení vstřikovacích strojů a konstrukční principy formy i samotného výrobku. Praktická část zahrnuje návrh a následné vytvoření 3D modelu plastového dílu a vstřikovací formy v softwaru CATIA V5-6R2020, ve kterém byla vytvořena také výkresová dokumentace. Během konstrukce byly využity normalizované součásti od společností Meusburger a Hasco.This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and development of an injection mold for a technical part. The work is divided into two main sections - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the classification of polymer materials, the injection molding technology and its cycle. It also focuses on the basic classification of injection molding machines and the design principles of the mold and the product itself. The practical section includes the design and subsequent creation of a 3D model of the plastic part and the injection mold using CATIA V5-6R2020 software, where the technical drawing documentation was also prepared. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty informace týkající se tématu vstřikování, materiálu pro vstřikovaní, konstrukci vstřikovacího zařízení, konstrukci vstřikovací formy a možných vadách vznikajících při vstřikování. V praktické části jsou popsány komponenty, které jsem volil pro konstrukci vstřikovaného dílu. K provedení praktické části byl použit program Autodesk Inventor 2025.This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of an injection mold for a given part. The specified part is a component for a car window regulator mechanism. The theoretical part summarizes information related to injection molding, injection molding materials, the construction of injection molding machines and molds, and potential defects that can occur during injection molding. The practical part describes the components I selected for the design of the injection- molded part. No full textCílem této práce je představit historické události zobrazené ve vybraných románech série Poslední Království od Bernarda Cornwella a ve stejnojmenném seriálu, který byl vytvořen společností Netflix. Za tímto účelem, práce poukazuje na vybrané historická fakta, týkající se Anglie 9. století, která byla využita v románech a jejich seriálové adaptaci, se speciálním zaměřením na kulturní a náboženské rozdíly mezi Anglosasy a Dány. Dále práce porovnává věrnost TV adaptace s romány a ukazuje změny v ději, vyprávění a postavách. Tato práce byla provedena na základě hloubkové srovnávací analýzy románů Páni severu (2006) a Píseň meče (2007) a TV adaptace Poslední Království (2017) druhá série.The aim of this work is to point out the historical events used in selected Bernard's The Last Kingdom novels and their Netflix TV adaptation. To achieve this, the thesis points out the historical facts of 9th-century England, which were utilized in the novels and the TV adaptation, with a special focus on the cultural and religious differences between Anglo-Saxons and Danes. Furthermore, the work compares the fidelity of the TV adaptation to novels and shows the changes in the plot, narration, and characters within the novels and the TV adaptation. This work has been conducted utilizing an in-depth comparative analysis of the novels The Lords of the North (2006) and Sword Song (2007) and the Netflix adaptation of The Last Kingdom 2nd season (2017).Ústav moderních jazyků a literatu
