Child Resilience and Managing Pandemic Emotional Distress in Families (CRAMPED)
Based on the lack of research that exists regarding the implications of global pandemics to family systems and individual wellbeing, the current study aims to gain insight into child, parent, and family adaptation in the context of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Using a longitudinal study design, online surveying across multiple countries will explore family functioning and relationship quality, parenting practices and stress, psychological wellbeing, social support, coping behaviours, and resilience, in relation to changes and challenges presented by the COVID-19 outbreak. Findings from this research may be used to inform services provided to families, public programming, and policy in response to global pandemics such as the COVID-19 outbreak
