    Employee performance is one of the most important factors in the success of an organization, where motivation and productivity can be enhanced through incentives. However, in this digital era, many institutions, particularly in the government sector, remain heavily reliant on manual administrative systems that are not as efficient as expected. In several studies regarding incentives, the manual calculation process often results in various issues, including process defects, the risk of human error, and a lack of transparency, which can negatively impact the trust and confidence of employees. This issue particularly occurs at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Surabaya City, as the incentive process, which remains manual, renders it inefficient. To address this problem, this research focuses on the development of a web-based employee incentive system. The development of this system employs the Waterfall method and implements technologies such as the Laravel framework, PHP, and MySQL to ensure that the system operates smoothly. The outcome of this research is a functional web application that successfully automates the incentive process and presents it on the web in an efficient manner. The black box method was selected as the method for testing the functionality of the system, starting with the user login process, importing data from Excel files, performing automatic calculations, modifying employee data, and generating monthly reports, which were successfully validated. This new incentive calculation system is capable of enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in the management of incentives at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Surabaya

    Penyakit akibat gigitan nyamuk seperti Demam Berdarah, Chikungunya, Malaria, dan Filariasis terus menjadi masalah serius di daerah tropis, termasuk Jawa Timur yang menunjukkan peningkatan kasus signifikan pada awal 2024. Tingginya angka kasus ini, didukung rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kebersihan lingkungan, serta kesulitan membedakan gejala penyakit oleh awam, sering mengakibatkan penanganan yang keliru dan terlambat. Mengatasi tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pakar diagnosis penyakit akibat gigitan nyamuk yang dirancang untuk membantu identifikasi penyakit secara cepat dan akurat. Sistem ini mengimplementasikan metode Dempster Shafer untuk menangani ketidakpastian data, memungkinkan diagnosis yang lebih presisi mendekati rekomendasi ahli.     Fruit vinegar is a fermented functional food product with significant health benefits due to its antioxidant-rich composition. Produced through alcoholic and acetic fermentation from starchy or sugary raw materials, fruit vinegar contains bioactive compounds such as organic acids, polyphenols, and melanoidins. These contribute to its roles in blood glucose regulation, weight management, antimicrobial effects, and chronic disease prevention. Variants like apple cider vinegar, pineapple vinegar, and mango vinegar have shown potential as therapeutic agents for diabetes, cardiovascular health, and obesity. Despite its promising applications in modern medicine and food preservation, challenges remain, including limited clinical data, inconsistent product quality, and varying production methods affecting bioactive content. This review explores the health benefits, production processes, and therapeutic potential of fruit vinegar, integrating recent findings to provide insights into its functionality and challenges. Furthermore, opportunities for utilizing alternative substrates, such as mango peels and pineapple waste, highlight its role in promoting sustainability. By addressing current gaps and emphasizing innovation in production and research, this study aims to support the broader application of fruit vinegar in health and food sector

    This study aims to analyze the application of hygienic design to utilize the excess supply of cayenne pepper during the peak harvest season, where many harvests are not absorbed into the market. Meanwhile, during the harvest in the off-season, the amount of chili harvest is unable to meet market demand, resulting in a spike in the price of cayenne pepper. The spike in the price of cayenne pepper has quite high variability, where the lowest price is IDR 15,000.00 but the highest price can reach IDR 100,000.00. With the implementation of the use of the DrySter Eco House drying house, farmers can store excess harvest results when prices drop and process them as dried cayenne pepper supplies and then sell them when the supply of fresh cayenne pepper on the market is low and the selling price is high. The DrySter Eco House greenhouse system relies on solar energy as the main source. This approach utilizes a greenhouse structure equipped with temperature and humidity control technology, as well as air circulation assistance that utilizes energy from solar panels to maintain optimal conditions during the drying process. By using greenhouse technology, the water content of cayenne pepper can be reduced significantly in a shorter time compared to conventional open drying methods. The use of renewable energy not only reduces operational costs, but also supports environmental sustainability and is able to maintain the quality of dried cayenne pepper. This study includes trials and measurements of several variables, such as temperature and drying time, to compare the results of conventional drying with drying using the DrySter Eco House prototype. With the supply of cayenne pepper from prospective harvest waste, farmers can stabilize the supply of chili during the off-season while also obtaining additional income from the sale of dried chili

    Portal berita Wishlist digunakan oleh jurnalis, redaktur, dan admin untuk mengelola artikel. Namun, beberapa pengguna mengalami kesulitan dalam mengoperasikan sistem ini akibat antarmuka yang kurang intuitif, navigasi yang membingungkan, serta alur kerja yang tidak jelas. Masalah ini berdampak pada efisiensi kerja dan produktivitas pengguna. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan usability agar sistem lebih mudah digunakan dan mendukung kebutuhan pengguna dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Activity Centered Design (ACD) untuk memahami bagaimana pengguna berinteraksi dengan sistem berdasarkan aktivitas mereka. Selain itu, evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur tingkat kemudahan penggunaan setelah perancangan ulang dilakukan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan perbaikan antarmuka, skor SUS meningkat menjadi 81, yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik (excellent). Ini membuktikan bahwa desain baru mampu meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dan mempermudah operasional sistem. Dengan demikian, perancangan ulang ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kerja pengguna serta kualitas pengelolaan berita di portal Wishlist

    Clove is a kind of spice used in various industries, such as clove cigarettes, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and spices. During the rainy season, the supply of dry cloves ready for sale becomes scarce because it is difficult to dry wet cloves. Therefore, the drying prototype was designed to use a heater for the clove drying process. IoT (Internet of Things) can be implemented to take advantage of better and more flexible time estimation This research designed a clove dryer using an Android application as a control application. The tool for drying cloves can be connected to the internet for monitoring and controlling the process from an Android smartphone. The system employed the ESP32 as a microcontroller, a capacitive sensor, DHT22 as the sensor input data for drying parameters, and a heater with 400 watts of power. Testing the drying process is carried out according to the value limit of each sensor and the time limit set by the Android application. The research results indicated that every 500 grams of wet cloves with a drying temperature of 74ยฐCโ€“77ยฐC and a drying process time of 3 hours 35 minutes would produce 200 grams of dry cloves with a moisture content of 14%.     Presensi merupakan aspek penting dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia yang bertujuan untuk mengatur jadwal kerja dan menghitung penggajian. Pada TPQ Al-Ikhlas, pencatatan kehadiran masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan lembaran kertas yang ditandatangani. Hal ini menyebabkan penumpukan berkas presensi dan ketergantungan pengajar pada admin untuk melakukan presensi, hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan aplikasi fingerprint untuk mempermudah pencatatan presensi. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD). Metode tersebut membantu untuk mengintegrasikan aplikasi fingerprint kedalam sistem web TPQ yang telah ada agar setiap fungsionalitas aplikasi yang dikembangan sesuai dengan kebutuhan TPQ. Aplikasi ini dikembangan menggunakan framework Laravel 8 mengunakan php 8.1 sebagai bahasa pemrograman. SUS digunakan untuk menilai kesiapan aplikasi sebelum diintegrasikan ke dalam website TPQ. SUS pertama menghasilkan skor 77,2% (acceptable). Setelah perbaikan, skor meningkat menjadi 82,8% (acceptable) pada SUS kedua, menunjukkan aplikasi siap diintegrasikan ke website TPQ Al-Ikhlas. Aplikasi ini telah diuji menggunakan ISO/IEC 25022 dengan hasil pengujian karakteristik efektifitas sebesar 81%, efisiensi 76%, kepuasan 82%, dan bebas resiko 71%.     Laboratorium merupakan fasilitas penting dalam pendidikan, karena didalam laboratorium berbagai peralatan, bahan dan infrastruktur digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan praktikum dan pembelajaran. Banyak laboratorium yang saat ini masih menggunakan sistem peminjaman manual sehingga resiko kehilangan dan kerusakan barang yang dipinjam sering terjadi. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, maka diperlukan sistem yang dapat mengelola peminjaman dengan aman dan memastikan identifikasi pengguna yang jelas untuk meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap penggunaan barang-barang laboratorium. Penelitian ini merancang dan mengembangkan sistem loker peminjaman berbasis Mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat pengontrolan sistem yang memanfaatkan teknologi antarmuka pengguna melalui website. Dimana pengguna akan memasukkan data pengguna dan memilih nomor loker yang tersedia yang kemudian dikirim ke Mikrokontroler ESP32 untuk disimpan dalam database. Jika loker tersedia, Mikrokontroler ESP32 mengirimkan sinyal ke Arduino untuk mengaktifkan relay selama 5 detik agar loker dapat dibuka. Sistem ini juga menyediakan akses admin melalui sebuah website khusus untuk melihat riwayat penggunaan loker yang tercatat dalam database. Admin juga dapat mengakses semua loker menggunakan fingerprint sensor yang telah menyimpan data sidik jarinya.     Opinions and preferences expressed on social media and microblogging services are very important for sentiment analysis. A Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a learning system that uses a hypothetical space in the form of a linear function in a high dimensional feature space and applies a learning bias derived from statistical learning theory. The accuracy results obtained by the Support Vector Machine method from the first topic, namely booster vaccines as a homecoming requirement, were 65% for text only and 69% for text containing emoji. The accuracy results for the second discussion topic, namely demonstrations against Jokowi for 3 periods, were 79% for text only and 82% for text containing emoji. As for the third topic regarding the scarcity of cooking oil and rising fuel prices, the accuracy obtained is 74% for text only and 76% for text containing emojis

    Implementasi Load Balancing dan Failover 2 ISP pada Mikrotik Menggunakan Metode Equal Cost Multipath (ECMP)

    Implementing load balancing and failover on computer networks is important, especially on networks that have a high traffic load. Load balancing serves to distribute traffic loads across several internet links, thereby improving network performance. In this research, load balancing and failover 2 ISP were implemented on the SMA Negeri 11 Surabaya network using a proxy with the Equal Cost MultiPath (ECMP) method. The ECMP is a load-balancing method that divides traffic evenly across all available internet links. The results of research conducted at SMA Negeri 11 Surabaya indicated that the load balancing and failover for two ISPs on MikroTik using the ECMP method could run well. They obtained an average throughput of 124.01 Mbps, a packet loss of 0%, and a QoS index of 4. Furthermore, failover could maintain network availability when one of the internet links experienced problems
