My Backyard Paradise in McKinney 
Every day, I walk into my backyard paradise. A place where only peace, harmony, and 
bliss prevail, and no room is left for negativity or sadness. As I move from the dining area to the 
back porch and step into my backyard, it's like entering paradise, where nature's beauty is in its 
fullest form, right in my own home. What more can anyone ask? I don’t have to travel hundreds 
of miles to view a forest to experience nature, it is just a few steps away. No matter the time of 
day or night, whether it's bright or rainy, weekday or weekend, my paradise is right there near 
me all the time.    
As I step into my backyard paradise, to my left are my favorite fruit trees of apple, 
cherries, and plum lined up in a perfect row. As my eyes move from the fruit trees to the middle 
of the backyard, where my rose plants reside. I see vibrant colors in the rose bush, it is like a 
small rainbow, so bright, and beautiful. The air is filled with the sweet, floral fragrance of the 
roses, so fresh. As my eyes move to the right side, away from the rose bush, there is my majestic 
magnolia tree where the birds happily chirp. It feels like a live orchestra playing just for me in 
the quiet world of my backyard. 
Next to the magnolia tree is my swing, where I sit every morning with a cup of coffee 
admiring the greenery that surrounds me. I think about the time I visited different nurseries 
selecting each plant and tree that fills my backyard. I love each one of them; they are like my 
children, my life. I planted them with my own hands. 
When I’m there in the backyard, my life turbulence disappears, and my doubts and 
insecurity vanish. The only thing that exists is the paradise of nature and the joy of being 
immersed in it, with every moment and every sense. My mind is focused on the present moment; 
not on the past, not on the future or far away land. 
   
 
   
 
Every step I take in the backyard feels like I’m moving deeper into my paradise. A place 
where life's troubles disappear, only peace and happiness exist.
