    Innovation of Virtual Reality: Assistance in the Development of Tengger Heritage Journey as a Promotion of Sustainable Tourism Villages in Tosari

    Tosari Village is one of the tourism-supporting villages in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area and already has Sanja Tosari Village as a tourist village. Based on survey, observation, and interview activities, Sanja of Tosari Village has problems promoting tourism villages that still utilize personal and community social media. In addition, the promotion of tourist villages has also not utilized virtual reality technology due to minimal capacity and accessibility. The solution to problem partners is assisting the development and application of smart tourism virtual reality as a medium for promoting sustainable tourism villages. The stages of developing smart tourism virtual reality start from data collection, processing, product development, and product results carried out by partners. This community service activity results in a virtual reality-based Tengger Heritage Journey as a promotional medium for Sanja Tosari Village. With this community service activity, the management of the tourist village has the experience and ability to develop and utilize virtual reality in tourism activities

    Recently in Indonesia, there has been an increase in degenerative diseases such as heart disease caused by high blood fat levels, namely triglycerides and cholesterol. Prevention of heart disease can be done by adjusting the diet and consuming healthy foods that contain hypocholesterolemic properties and probiotics. Compounds that are thought to have hypocholesterolemic properties are curcuminoids in rhizomes such as white saffron (Curcuma mangga Val.). In addition, probiotic food is very good for the body because it contains microorganisms that can support the digestive and immune systems. Sumbersari village is in Moyudan sub-district, Sleman district, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Most of the people work in agriculture as owners or cultivators. The survey results of the service team showed that the community did not know how to cultivate, the benefits of white saffron, how to process instant powder and the benefits of probiotic foods that can reduce the risk of degenerative diseases such as heart disease. Counseling was held on Saturday 29 July 2023 which was attended by 36 people. The first step of the service activity is the coordination of cooperation with partners to motivate the community of the Farmer Group in Menulis hamlet to be willing to participate wholeheartedly in all activities. At the implementation stage, counseling was carried out to broaden the insight of the Farmers Group of Menulis hamlet related to the cultivation and benefits of white saffron and probiotic food. In addition to counseling activities, there was also a distribution of white saffron seeds, white saffron capsules, instant powder "ESEM" empon-empon, yakult, and souvenir of the book "Lebih Sehat dengan Kunir Putih Jenis Mangga". The Menulis farmer group was eager to plant white saffron seeds and enthusiastic about the benefits of white saffron and probiotics, as evidenced by the many questions during counseling

    Education on Balanced Nutrition Based on Local Food in Pregnant Women's Class at Wonosari Village Assistant Health Center, Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang

    Wonosari Village is one of the priority locations for stunting prevention with a percentage of pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency of 33.3%, energy intake of 66.7% of the nutritional adequacy rate (RDA), nutritional problems with iron, folic acid, calcium and zinc. Community service activities are carried out to improve the behavior of pregnant women regarding balanced nutrition based on local food. Educational activities are carried out three times, namely once a month in July-September 2023 according to the class schedule for pregnant women. Educational material about stunting, the first 1000 days of life (HPK), and a balanced nutrition guide based on local food (PGS-PL) for pregnant women. Measurement of the mother's level of knowledge about the material presented was carried out before the 1st education (pre-test) and after the 3rd education (post-test) using the interview method using a questionnaire. Pre-test and post-test data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon test at α=5%. The results of this community service show a significant increase, the average knowledge score of pregnant women from 7.67 to 10.25 out of a total score of 12. Almost all pregnant women have been able to apply balanced nutrition based on local food based on the type and amount of plate contents. It is hoped that nutrition implementers from the local health center will continue to strengthen the implementation of PGS-PL in every class for pregnant women at the Wonosari Village Assistant Health Center

    Catfish is the result of freshwater aquaculture which is often found in Mojokerto Regency, East Java. XYZ Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) is a business engaged in the processing of catfish, with shredded catfish as one of its products. Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is one of the factors that influence the quality of food products, but XYZ SMEs do not understand this. One of the efforts that can be made for the XYZ MSME business in improving its products is by conducting HACCP-related education. The form of activities carried out in this activity is identifying hazards during the production process, which includes observation, analysis and determination of critical points, giving advice, and implementing control measures. The results of these activities were that UMKM XYZ was able to improve the quality of catfish shredded production. This is evidenced by the creation of SOPs at each stage of catfish shredded production. The application of HACCP is expected to improve the quality and safety of catfish shredded products

    Dissemination of Evacuation Routes for Earthquake and Tsunami Hazards in the Red Zone of Johan Pahlawan District at the Aceh Health Polytechnic

    This community service activity provides information related to disaster and tsunami evacuation routes in the city of Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, especially in the red zone area. Poltekkes is a vocational college located in Meulaboh, West Aceh District, which is in the red zone area. Communities in the red zone are prone to earthquakes and tsunamis, so they must carry out an evacuation process. The method of implementing this community service activity consists of socializing evacuation routes consisting of 7 routes in Johan Pahlawan District and 5 routes in Meureubo District. Measuring the achievements of socialization activities was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students, including filling in suggestions and input for planning earthquake and tsunami disaster evacuation routes. The results of the questionnaire showed that the Poltekkes students, after the socialization was carried out, already knew the 12 evacuation routes provided. On average, students understand the current condition of the evacuation routes that have been socialized. Students also mostly answered agree from each question given. For questions related to problems encountered during the evacuation process, 63.8% answered that there was congestion at the intersection because each vehicle met from a different direction, 53.2% mixed residents who evacuated with vehicles and people who ran during the evacuation process ongoing, and 29.8% answered that the capacity of the road section exceeded the capacity of the community conducting the evacuation

    PKM Tiwir Farmer Group, Sumbersari Village to Increase Income by Cultivating Temulawak and White Turmeric and Their Processing Methods

    Most of the welfare of the people of Tiwir Hamlet, Sumbersari Sub-district is still below standard. Based on the survey results, the service team found that the Sumbersari Sub-district area, especially the Tiwir Hamlet, has many wild (not yet properly cultivated) plants growing rhizomes. Rhizome plants such as temulawak and temu mangga have not been optimally processed even though there are many vacant lands and small industries processing instant powder. This service aims to train and practice how to process temulawak and temu mangga into processed products as well as provide entrepreneurship and marketing training so that businesses can develop. This dedication partner is the Tiwir Farmers Group. Counseling and training activities were held on August 27 and September 3, 2022.     Training on Making Solid Soap from Used Cooking Oil in Amol Village, East Miomafo District

    Waste cooking oil is heated at a high temperature of 160-250°C for a long time, causing oxidation, hydrolysis, and polymerization to produce ketones, aldehydes, and polymers that are detrimental to human health. Therefore, it is not recommended for reuse. Waste cooking oil in Amol Village was abundant and accommodated, often used repeatedly and then dumped into the environment without any further treatment. The initial survey showed that most of Amol Village's people do not yet know about the dangers of reusing used cooking oil or the dangers to the environment. On the other hand, high free fatty acids have the potential to be converted into soap through the saponification process with a base. Thus, the socialization of the dangers of waste cooking oil for human health and the environment and training on making solid soap from used cooking oil was carried out in Amol Village to assist the community in dealing with used cooking oil waste and save spending on soap purchases. Problem-solving was carried out through several stages of activities, namely observation, preparatory activities, socialization; manufacture of solid soap product from used cooking oil. Those stages were carried out through demonstrations and practices independently by participants, followed by monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The knowledge and skills of participants have been improved, regarding to handling the used cooking oil and its processing into solid soap

    Implementation of IOT Automatic Controlling System and Android Franchise System in Oyster Mushroom MSMEs in Gintangan Village To Be Globally Competitive in the Digital Economy Era

    MSMEs are one of the business units that play an important role in the growth and development of the economy in Indonesia, especially in lower and middle class society. The MSME "Sunawan Mushroom" which is a partner in this community service program is one of the MSMEs in Rogojampi District, Banyuwangi, engaged in the oyster mushroom cultivation business. Based on the results of the identification of the proposing team in partner businesses, there are two main problems, namely in the areas of production and marketing. The community service program which was carried out for 8 months attempted to overcome these two problems. This activity is in accordance with the main performance indicators (IKU) of PGRI Banyuwangi University, namely that lecturers carry out activities outside the campus and the results of the lecturers' work are used by the community. Because this activity involves students, this activity is also in accordance with one of the IKUs, namely students gaining experience outside campus. The outputs targeted by this program include IoT-based Automatic Controlling System Technology, an Android-based franchise system, increasing partner production and sales, and increasing partner turnover. Overall, the technology implemented in the partner's oyster mushroom business succeeded in increasing production capacity by 25% (from 500kg to an increase of 650kg), succeeded in reducing the level of pest attacks during the mushroom growing process from 15% to 5% (down 10%), and reduced fungus death rate 5-10%. These results automatically increase partners' income from sales of oyster mushrooms by optimizing the temperature conditions of mushroom cages and minimizing the death rate of oyster mushrooms from pest attacks that attack mushroom tanks
