業の会社のセールスに従事、父が中国海南島から移
住した華僑、母がラオス人という。中国語が話せる
ので小生も中国語の単語を交えてラオスのことを
聞き出した。「中学までラオスにいたが共産主義政
権になって嫌気がさした。」「かって王様がいたとき
は割合に自由で普通の生活ができたが共産主義政
権ができてからそれができなくなった。」として祖
国を離れたという。 
彼は日本の社会にとけこもうとしたようで「TV
で野球を見ても初めはさっぱりわからなかったが
ことばがだんだんわかると仲間の話を聞いている
うちに面白いと思うようになった。」 
 卒業後も日本に定住し「1990年暮れに国籍取得し
た。」と書き込められた年賀はがきをよこしてきた。

1993年度Ⅰ部建築学科 応用数学ⅠⅡ 
華僑女子留学生ということで中国語のあいさつ
の年賀はがきをいただいた。授業のあとで個別にマ
レーシアの民族構成の複雑なこと、マレー人と華僑
の確執、さらに先住民がいて教育も受けず通貨も使
用しないという原始時代同然の生活をしていると
いうことを語ってもらった。 
 
5.中国人留学生   
(1)N.K氏  
1988年度Ⅱ部電気通信工学科 微分積分学Ⅱ 
長春から来てはじめ短大に入学、Ⅱ部に編入した
ときに小生の授業を履修したが、日本語がやや不十
分のようで自由課題のまとめに困っている様子だ
ったので N.K氏には「中国語で書いてもよい。」と
いっておいた。N.K 氏は Fortran で研究データを
計算したレポートを提出していたがそれと別に数
学についての感想をまとめるときに中国語で書い
てもらった。中国語ではコンピーターのプログラム
は程序というように漢語に訳すために日本語のカ
タカナ表示の外来語はわかりにくい。このことにつ
いて英語の先生には「英文を日本語に訳させるのは
留学生にはむずかしいのでないか。」と提言してお
いた。 
N.K 氏から中国の友人が水墨画の個展を開いて
いるというのでその招待状をもらい高島屋デパー
トに行ったところ日中友好条約 10周年記念という
ことで桂林、竹林の七賢人、日本の奈良と富士の画
が見られた。留学生が祖国の文化紹介にもひとはだ
脱いでいることを改めて見直した。 
(2)G.Kさん  
1993年度Ⅰ部精密機械工学科 微分方程式Ⅰ、Ⅱ 
授業では他の学生よりも習熟度が高く指定され
ていた演習問題をどんどん解いているのをみて話
しかけてみた。小生は中国で刊行された書籍も何冊
か持っているので彼女に頒布したいと思っていた。
本を受け取りに夫とともに拙宅に来訪したときに
彼女の経歴について少しばかり話してくれた。小学
校のころは文革のさなかで「毛語録を暗記させられ
た。」。上海市立工業大学に進学し金属熱処理を専攻、
卒業後来日し「日本語学校の先生から東京電機大学
を勧められて志願した」。とのこと。小生が 1984年
に訪中時、上海から広州までの列車を引いていた蒸
気機関車の写真に「今もうない。」と懐かしがって
いた。 
1997 年東京電機大学の中国短期研修では前年微
分方程式Ⅰ、Ⅱの授業を受けていた N.N さんが参
加していたが G.K さんも通訳として同行した。そ
の翌年から東京電機大学でも中国語の授業が開設
されたと聞いている。

Promoting work–life integration among Japanese workers during 
the COVID-19 pandemic 
―Focusing on improving well-being―

1. Introduction
Work–life balance (WLB) has been gaining
traction as a way to harmonize work and life; 
however, since 2020, the spread of Coronavirus 
disease 2019 (COVID-19) has rapidly and 
dramatically changed the way people work and 
live. In this paper, I review data on the changes 
brought about by the COVID-19 disaster and the 
psychosocial effects of those changes on Japanese 
workers. I will also discuss the state of work 
styles, WLB and other new developments from a 
psychological perspective. Then, with reference to 
the With COVID/Post COVID eras, I propose 
appropriate support measures for Japanese 
workers to enhance their well-being as they 
adapt to flexible, diverse work styles. 
2. Impact of new ways of working during the
COVID-19 pandemic 
In Japan, new ways of working, such as 
telework, have staggered work hours, and flexible 
work hours have been hastily introduced. The 
results of various surveys (e.g., Ministry of 
Health, Labour and Welfare, 2020) have shown 
that teleworking has both positive and negative 
effects on workers. 
Positive changes for workers include: (1) flexible 
work time and space (e.g., effective use of time 
due to reduced commute and ability to work at a 
place and time of one's choice); (2) increased 
efficiency (e.g., ability to concentrate on work, 
increased work efficiency, reduced meetings); and 
(3) changes related to home and family (e.g.,
increased communication with family members,
increased time spent with family members and at
home, better communication with family, easier
to tend to family matters); and (4) reduced
burden (e.g., reduced burden of commuting, work,
and interpersonal relationships). Otsuka et al.
(2021) used factor analysis to clarify the changes
in work environments and lifestyles associated
with the start of telecommuting during the
COVID-19 pandemic and examined their
relationship with psychological variables. The
results showed that positive changes (ease of
work–life balance and improvement in work- and
family-related interpersonal relationships) were
positively correlated with positive outcomes such
as work engagement and life satisfaction in
general. Nishimura & Nishioka (2021) also
showed that teleworkers had higher work
engagement during the pandemic. Therefore, it
can be inferred that COVID-19 unexpectedly
promoted WLB and had a positive psychosocial
impact on workers.
However, problems and issues associated with 
telework may include (1) difficulties in managing 
life and time (e.g., difficulty in managing one's 
own time, difficulty in switching between work 
and private life, lack of exercise, tendency to

work long hours, etc.); (2) communication 
problems (e.g., lack of communication with 
superiors and coworkers, difficulty 
communicating through non face-to-face 
meetings (e.g., lack of communication with 
superiors and colleagues, difficulty 
communicating through virtual meetings); and 
(3) work environment problems (e.g., lack of a 
suitable work environment at home). A survey by 
Otsuka et al. (2021) clarified the negative 
changes, namely, difficulty in working, 
interference from family members during work, 
longer work hours, and difficulty in evaluating 
subordinates. Among these, difficulty in working 
was positively correlated with workload, stress 
response, and work–family conflict. In other 
words, it can be inferred that simply setting up a 
physical and external framework to introduce a 
new way of working is insufficient. By 
interrelating various variables such as personal 
attributes and psychological factors, new ways of 
working and living can impact workers positively 
and negatively. 
 
3. Work–life balance and work–life integration 
The percentage of teleworkers among the 
employed population in Japan remains at about 
20%, regardless of the status of the COVID-19 
infection, which is currently not high. However, 
according to a survey conducted in July 2021, 
more than 70% of those who had teleworked were 
satisfied with teleworking, and the percentage of 
those who wished to continue teleworking after 
the coronavirus was contained was also higher 
than 70% (Japan Productivity Center, 2021). It is 
believed that there is great interest novel, diverse 
way of working, ones in which people have 
autonomy with regard their place, hours, and 
flexibly of work, while maintaining harmony with 
their personal lives. 
In recent years, work life integration (WLI) has 
attracted attention as an extension of WLB. WLB 
views work life and personal life as separate 
domains and takes the perspective of balancing 
both lives’ domains and roles. WLI, on the other 
hand, aims to improve productivity, quality of life, 
happiness, and well-being by integrating work 
and private life into a virtuous cycle. The term 
WLI has been used in academic papers since the 
late 1990s, and various studies have been 
conducted since the early 2000s, demonstrating 
its usefulness (e.g., Major & Burke, 2013). In 
Japan, the Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of 
Corporate Executives) defined the term in 2008 
as “a flexible and high-level integration of work 
styles and individual lives, with the aim of 
achieving synergies through the fluid 
management of each other, expanding 
productivity and growth, raising the quality of 
life, and achieving a sense of fulfillment and 
happiness.” WLI is not a denial of the WLB 
concept and is rather proposed as an expression 
of the synergistic and dynamic objectives of WLB. 
With the promotion of flexible and diverse work 
styles, it is important to consider how individuals 
manage the physical, temporal, and psychological 
boundaries between the realms of work and 
private life. This is evident from the results of the 
advantages and disadvantages of introducing 
telework in the previous section. For example, 
the boundary theory (Ashforth, Kreiner, & Fugate, 
2000) views the separation of work and private 
life as a continuum from separation to 
integration. In this theory, the individual worker 
is supposed to be able to cope with the realms of 
work and private life by dividing and managing 
several realms of their life. However, it is not only 
the integration of various domains and roles of 
life, but also the flexibility between integration 
and separation—both physically and 
psychologically—which positively impact the 
workers.

4. Improving the well-being of Japanese 
workers 
With COVID-19 greatly changing the way we 
work, there has been a growing interest in 
improving the well-being of workers. Accordingly, 
in March 2021, Nikkei Inc., together with other 
organizations, established the “Japanese 
Well-being Initiative,” with the aim of developing 
new indicators to measure well-being, promote 
well-being management, and make proposals to 
the government and international organizations. 
To begin with, well-being is an optimal state of 
being, directly promoting “happiness” or “health.” 
The definition of well-being can be translated to 
health. “Health is a state of complete physical, 
mental and social well-being and not merely the 
absence of disease or infirmity (WHO).”  
However, the well-being of Japanese workers is 
low.  For example, in a survey of 14,400 
employees in 15 countries, the percentage of 
employees in Japan who said they were satisfied 
with their wellbeing at work was 44%, well below 
the overall average of 71%, and at the bottom of 
the list (Berkeley Ventures, Inc., 2016). 
To achieve WLI, it is important to develop an 
external, physical framework of “time” and 
“space,” such as telework and flextime systems. 
In fact, during COVID-19, teleworkers tended to 
have a better subjective sense of well-being, 
compared to those who went to work. Further, the 
results were significant for those in their 30s and 
40s (Persol Research and Consulting Co., Ltd., 
2021). This represents the characteristics of a 
generation that particularly needs to adjust its 
work and personal lives. However, past studies 
have suggested that giving people a choice of 
where to work is not enough. Giving workers the 
flexibility to choose their place of work enhances 
workers' well-being (Saito & Sugimura, 2017). 
Furthermore, in addition to introducing flexible 
work arrangements, strengthening the positive 
psychological factors of individual workers so 
that they can make effective use of such 
arrangements is necessary. 
A recent systematic review and meta-analysis 
of psychological interventions to improve mental 
well-being included mindfulness-based and 
well-being therapies. The study found that 
multi-component positive psychological 
interventions, including mindfulness-based and 
well-being therapy, were highly effective in both 
clinical and healthy groups (Agteren et al., 2021). 
Well-Being Therapy (Fava, 2016) is a 
psychotherapy that focuses on the positive 
psychological aspects of well-being, using 
cognitive-behavioral therapy as a foundation to 
improve psychological well-being by focusing on 
the thoughts and feelings associated with positive 
experiences. It generally consists of eight 
sessions, but a simplified four-session version, 
which is suitable for people who already received 
cognitive behavioral therapy, is also available. In 
Japan, the effects of a simple four-session 
program of well-being (Masunaga, Sugiura & 
Ogata, 2017) and similar interventions for a 
healthy group of university students have been 
reported (Makino & Nedate, 2016), but such 
studies are scant, and there are no intervention 
studies that consider workers. 
Strengthening and supporting the positive 
psychological factors of individual workers, along 
with the development of external factors that 
enable flexible and diverse work styles, will 
improve the well-being of not only individual 
workers, which is the goal of WLI, but also 
business organizations and society as a whole. 
First, while we hope for the end of the COVID-19 
pandemic, when considering WLB, it is necessary 
to think from a psychological perspective, so that 
workers in our country can develop new and 
better ways of working and living in the 
Corona/Post Corona era.

医薬品は、その立体的な構造によって薬として作用する場合と毒として作用する場合がある。したがってそ
の立体的な構造を制御することは有機合成における重要な課題の 1 つである。本研究ではこれまでに合成して
いた 9-アントラセニルジフェニルホスフィンの合成法を基に、2-ピリジンカルボン酸を支持配位子としたパラ
ダサイクル錯体を合成した。合成した錯体は、アリールボロン酸のエノンへの 1,4-付加反応へ適用することで
触媒活性を評価したところ、以前は必要であった塩基を必要とせずに反応が進行した。これにより、パラジウ
ム上の置換基の制御が可能となり、次世代 CPL 材料や医薬品合成のための重要な指針が得られた。 
 
研究成果の概要（英文） 
Depending on its steric structure, a drug may act as a medicine or as a poison. Therefore, controlling the 
steric structure is one of the most important issues in organic synthesis. In this study, we have synthesized 
a palladacycle complex with 2-pyridinecarboxylic acid as a supporting ligand based on our previous 
synthesis of 9-anthracenyldiphenylphosphine. The catalytic activity of the synthesized complex was 
evaluated by applying them to the 1,4-addition reaction of arylboronic acid to enones, and the reaction 
proceeded without base, which was previously required. This study enables the control of substituents on 
palladium and provides an important guideline for synthesis of CPL materials and pharmaceuticals.

1.研究開始当初の背景 
三次元構造の物質がその鏡像と重ならない性質
「キラリティー」を持つ分子をキラル分子とよび、
医薬品や香料、フェロモン、発光材料など広範な分
野に利用されている。通常、キラル分子を人工的に
製造する場合は鏡像体の混合物として得られるが、
医薬品の場合では一方の鏡像体は薬として作用する
ものの、もう一方は毒として作用する。こういった
理由から鏡像体を作り分ける技術「不斉合成」は 20
世紀後半から急速に発展してきた。また、キラリテ
ィーを有する物質は光の偏光面を回転させる性質を
持ち、発光特性を有するキラル分子は円偏光発光
(CPL)を示す。CPL は液晶発行ディスプレイ光源の
省電力化、光暗号通信などのセキュリティー分野へ
の応用が期待できる。 
 キラリティーを持つホスフィンの配位した金属錯
体（キラルリン錯体）は不斉合成の触媒や CPL 材料
に利用されており、優れたキラルリン錯体の創出は
医薬品やセキュリティー材料などの発展に大きく寄
与する。これまでのキラルリン錯体は、あらかじめ
リン上にキラリティーが存在しており、アキラルな
ホスフィンの非対称化によるキラリティーの発現を
利用したキラルリン錯体の合成はなされていない。
このような錯体は金属中心の近傍にリンのキラリテ
ィーが存在するため、従来のキラルリン錯体とは異
なった機能の発現が期待できる。 
2.研究の目的 
本研究は、リン上不斉を制御した光学活性白金族
錯体の合成法を確立することを目的とする。具体的
には、アキラルなホスフィンを用いてリン上にキラ
リティーを発現させた遷移金属錯体の合成を行う。 
3.研究の方法 
本研究では以下の項目について検討を行った。 
(1)アントラセン骨格を有するホスフィンおよびパ
ラダサイクル錯体の合成 
 代表者らの以前の研究で得た知見を基に、ホスフ
ィン配位子を合成し、パラダサイクル錯体とした。 
(2)合成したパラダサイクル錯体の触媒的利用 
合成したパラダサイクル錯体を、アリールボロン
酸類の 1,4-付加反応へ適用した。これによって錯
体の触媒活性を評価した。 
4.研究成果 
(1)研究の主な成果 
まず、以前合成した 9-アントラセニルジフェニル
ホスフィンから、2-ピリジンカルボン酸を支持配
位子としたパラダサイクル錯体の合成を行った。
すると、2-ピリジンカルボン酸がキレートとして
働くことでパラジウム上にすべて異なる置換基
を挿入することが可能となった。合成した錯体を
アリールボロン酸のエノンへの 1,4-付加に適用し
たところ、以前の錯体では必要とされていた塩基
を必要とせずに反応が進行した。 
(2)国内外における位置づけとインパクト 
 本研究で今までほとんど合成例のないパラジウム
上の置換基がすべて異なる環状錯体を合成し、そ
のアリールボロン酸のエノンへの 1,4-付加反応に
おける触媒活性を明らかにした。これにより中心
金属であるパラジウムの極めて近傍にある構造の
制御が可能となり、キラリティーを有する金属錯
体の合成に関する重要な指針を与えた。 
(3)今後の展望 
 今回明らかにした 2-ピリジンカルボン酸配位子パ
ラダサイクル錯体の合成法を基に、不斉合成反応
触媒や次世代 CPL 材料への応用を行っていく。

研究成果の概要（和文） 
動脈硬化は，心筋梗塞や脳梗塞等の重篤な疾病を引き起こす一方で自覚症状がないため，早期診断が難しく
動脈硬化性疾患へと進展してから治療が開始されることが多い．現在行われている動脈硬化の病態進行を評
価・予測する研究ではプラーク蓄積数理モデルが提案されているが，体内の炎症度合いや単球等の細胞数など
検査に時間を要するか，または臨床で容易に計測できないパラメータを多く含むため課題も多い．そこで本研
究では，眼底 OCT から得られた形態情報を組み込んだプラーク形成の数値シミュレーションを開発した．

Atherosclerosis can cause serious diseases such as myocardial infarction, but since there are no subjective 
symptoms, early diagnosis is difficult. Although mathematical models of atherosclerosis have been 
proposed in previous research, they have problems because they require time to examine the degree of 
inflammation and the number of monocytes and other cells in the body, or they include many parameters 
that cannot be easily measured in clinical practice. In this study, we developed a numerical simulation of 
plaque formation that incorporates morphological information obtained from OCT.

1.研究開始当初の背景 
動脈硬化は，心筋梗塞，脳梗塞，失明等の重篤
な疾病を引き起こす一方で，進行しても自覚症状
がなく，動脈硬化性疾患へと進展してから治療が
開始されることが多い．そこで動脈硬化性疾患へ
と進行する前に介入することで健康寿命の延伸
が期待できる．動脈硬化の発症，進行を評価する
方法として，プラーク蓄積を数理モデル化する研
究[6]がある．しかしプラーク蓄積の数理モデルに
は，体内の炎症度合いや単球等の細胞数など検査
に時間を要するか，臨床上取得が困難なパラメー
タを多く含むため，容易に取得可能なパラメータ
を用いた数理モデルが求められている． 
一方で，無侵襲で細血管を観察できる技術とし
て，OCT がある．OCT は無侵襲かつ高い空間分
解能を有する．また近年，冠動脈内の不安定性プ
ラーク(動脈硬化巣)の診断に用いられる[7]． 
動脈硬化の病態進行を評価・予測するためには，
臨床で使用できるモダリティからパラメータを
取得し組込んだ数理モデルが必要となり，本研究
では眼底 OCT で取得した画像から形態情報パラ
メータを組み込んだ数理モデルを構築する． 
2.研究の目的 
本研究の目的はプラーク蓄積の数理モデルを，
OCT を用いて計測した細血管のプラーク容積・血
管径やその内外比等の形態情報を用いた数理モ
デルに置き換えることである．  
3.研究の方法 
眼底 OCT を使ってプラーク蓄積数理モデルに
組み込めるパラメータを検討した．特に今回対象
としている眼での血流計測の例として，ドップラ
ーOCT による網膜血流測定があり，血流量や血流
速度，血管径の計測が可能である．ドップラー
OCT を用いた計測結果を文献から取得し，数値シ
ミュレーションに組み込むこととした． 
プラーク蓄積を予測する数理モデルは Cilla ら
[1]の研究を参考にすることとした．彼らの研究で
はプラーク蓄積の過程を，血流分布を考える流体
ダイナミクス・求めた血流分布からプラーク蓄積
を引き起こす要素である単球やマクロファージ，
サイトカイン，泡沫細胞，平滑筋細胞等の濃度変
化を計算する物質ダイナミクス・求めた各物質の
濃度からプラーク容積の導出を行うプラーク蓄
積の 3 つに分けて検討している．この研究では濃
度計算を行う式に移流項を採用しており，ドップ
ラーOCT から求めた血流情報を組み込むことが
できる．この数理モデルは Matlab2021a を用い
て実装を行った．  
4.研究成果 
眼の血管径を組み込んだ網膜血管におけるプ
ラーク蓄積の数理モデルを実装した．プラーク蓄
積，動脈硬化を数理モデル化しようという試みは
国外において盛んに行われているが，OCT による
簡便かつ臨床で計測可能なパラメータによって
表現されるプラーク蓄積数理モデルは見当たら
ず，本研究は新規性がある．また，対象を眼とし
て，プラーク蓄積の数理モデルを実装した研究は
独自性がある． 
本研究が進むことで，OCT と数値シミュレーシ
ョンが組み合わさり，無侵襲な動脈硬化の早期診
断が可能になることで，より早期での治療，延い
ては未病の状態での診断が可能となる．よって，
失明・下肢切断などの動脈硬化を起点とする重篤
な疾病への進展を防止することができるように
なり，社会的損失が大幅に減少する．また現在進
行中の動脈硬化の患者に対しても，自覚症状が乏
しいことから生活習慣の是正につながらないケ
ースも多くみられる．しかし，病態進行の予測を
行うことで，より自身の行動が結果につながると
実感でき，自覚症状がなくとも行動変容を促すこ
とができると考えられる．

金属粉末射出成形法によって作製した 
Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料に関する研究 
  
自動車の電子制御式燃料噴射装置に使われるニードルバルブの製造方法の一つとして，3
次元複雑形状の金属部品をニアネットシェイプで製作できる金属粉末射出成形法（MIM）
が採用されるようになった．現在，MIM によるニードルバルブの生産では軟磁性材料とし
て PB パーマロイが採用されているが，近年においてはその特性として，応答性の向上や
コアロスの低減，さらに耐食性の改善や高硬度化と素材価格の低減等が求められるように
なってきている．そこで，本研究では Fe-Cr 系軟磁性材料の特性向上を目的とし，Si 等の
合金元素を数％添加した Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料を MIM によって作製し，その磁気特性と
材料特性について明らかにした． 
 第 1 章では，本研究の背景と目的，および本論文の構成について述べた． 
 第 2 章では，本研究に関連する技術の技術的な背景として，始めに金属粉末射出成形法
（MIM）の誕生から現在の状況について概説し，その後，その製造プロセスについて述べ
た．次に本研究の対象となる軟磁性材料について概説し，その磁気特性を表す磁化曲線か
ら求められる最大磁束密度 Bm，最大透磁率 μm，保磁力 Hc などの特性について述べた．最
後に，軟磁性材料の利用分野として電子制御式燃料噴射装置について概説し，その主要構
成部品であるニードルバルブに使われる軟磁性材料と MIM の適用例について述べた． 
 第 3 章では，MIM によって Si を数％含有させた Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料を作製し，Cr
およびSi量が磁気特性と材料特性に及ぼす影響について明らかにした．その結果，Fe-Cr-Si
系合金の Si 量を 3％とすることで相対密度は 99％以上となり，Cr 量の変化は焼結性にほ
とんど影響を及ぼさないことがわかった．また，Cr および Si 量を増やすことで電気抵抗
率を上げ，交流磁界におけるコアロスを低減することができ，電気抵抗率の増加に対する
Si 量の影響が顕著であることがわかった．しかし，MIM における気孔率増加による電気
抵抗率の増加は，渦電流損失の低減には効果がなく，むしろヒステリシス損失の増大を招
き，コアロスを増加させることがわかった．一方、Cr 量を減らすことで磁束密度 B2000お
よび最大透磁率 μm を高くし，保磁力 Hc を低くすることが可能であることがわかった．さ
らに，Fe-Cr-Si 系合金の Si 量を 3％とすることで引張強さおよび硬さは上昇し，緻密化後
の伸びは低くなるが，Cr 量を減らすことで伸びの低下を軽減することが可能であることが
わかった．これらの結果から，磁気特性に優れ，交流磁界におけるコアロス低減を可能と
する Fe-Cr-Si 系合金として，Fe-9Cr-3Si が適すると結論した． 
第 4 章では，Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料の Cr 量を減らすことで耐食性の低下が懸念される
 
ため，耐食性を向上させる Mo を添加した Fe-Cr-Si-Mo 系軟磁性材料を MIM によって作
製し，Mo の添加が磁気特性と材料特性に及ぼす影響について明らかにした．その結果，
Fe-Cr-Si系合金に 2％のMoを添加することで，低温での焼結時の相対密度は向上するが，
高温での焼結時にその効果はなく，最終的に緻密化されたときの相対密度は Mo を添加し
ない場合よりも低くなることがわかった．また，2％の Mo を添加することで，電気抵抗率
は増加し，交流磁界におけるコアロスを低減することができるが，低周波数域におけるコ
アロスの低減効果は小さいことがわかった．さらに，MIM における気孔率増加による電気
抵抗率の増加は，Mo を 2％添加した場合においても渦電流損失の低減には効果がなく，む
しろヒステリシス損失の増大を招き，コアロスを増加させることがわかった．加えて，
Fe-Cr-Si 系合金に 2％の Mo を添加することで，磁束密度 B2000および最大透磁率 μm は低
下し，保磁力 Hc は高くなり，磁気特性は若干低下することがわかった．一方，2％の Mo
を添加することで，耐食性を大幅に向上させることが可能であり，Cr 量を 10％まで減ら
しても 15Cr-3Si 並みの耐食性を期待できることがわかった．また，2％の Mo を添加する
ことで引張強さおよび硬さは上昇し，緻密化後の伸びは低下するが，Cr 量を減らすことで
伸びの低下を軽減することが可能であることがわかった．これらの結果から，磁気特性お
よび耐食性を兼ね備えた Fe-Cr-Si-Mo 系軟磁性材料として，Fe-10Cr-3Si-2Mo が適すると
結論した． 
第 5 章では，Si および Mo の添加によって高硬度化を狙った Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料を
MIM によって作製し，Si 添加量の増加および Mo の添加が磁気特性と材料特性に及ぼす
影響について明らかにした．その結果，Fe-Cr-Si 系合金の Si 量を 6%とすることで焼結性
は著しく向上して相対密度は 99％以上となり，電気抵抗率も著しく高くなることがわかっ
た．また，2％の Mo を添加することで焼結性はやや低下するが，電気抵抗率は増加するこ
とがわかった．しかし，2％の Mo を添加することで電気抵抗率を増加させ，渦電流損失を
低下させても，保磁力 Hc の増加によるヒステリシス損失の増大によりコアロスは増加する
ことがわかった．さらに，MIM における気孔率増加による電気抵抗率の増加は，Si を 6％
添加した場合においても渦電流損失の低減には効果がなく，むしろヒステリシス損失の増
大を招き，コアロスを増加させることがわかった．また，Fe-Cr-Si 系合金の合金元素の添
加量増加に伴い，磁束密度 B2000 および最大透磁率 μm は低下し，保磁力 Hc は高くなり，
直流磁気特性は低下することがわかった．一方，Si 添加量の増加，および 2％の Mo を添
加することで耐食性を大幅に向上させ，硬さも上昇させることが可能であることがわかっ
た．その結果，引張強さは著しく上昇するが伸びが低下し，Si を 6％添加したときの伸び
の低下は特に著しく，MIM 以外の製法による製品のニアネットシェイプ化は困難であると
判断した．また，EPMA による面分析および平衡状態図の計算結果から，Fe-12Cr-6Si-2Mo
において Laves 相が析出していることが確認され，磁気特性および機械的性質に若干影響
を及ぼしているものと推察した．これらの結果から，磁気特性および機械的性質を兼ね備
えた高硬度 Fe-Cr-Si 系軟磁性材料として，Fe-12Cr-4.5Si-2Mo が適すると結論した． 
第 6 章では本論文の総括を行い，MIM の適用により，加工が困難となるこれらの軟磁性
材料を用いた金属部品をニアネットシェイプで製作可能であると結論付けた．

Learner Interaction in Technology-enhanced Language Learning 
Environments

Abstract 
Although there are different perspectives on the field of autonomy, many researchers agree that 
autonomy plays the most important role in acquiring authentic language (Benson, 2011). Learner 
autonomy is essential in both formal and informal learning environments. This paper discusses research 
on technology and learner autonomy, as well as findings from research on learner engagement in 
technology-enhanced language learning contexts. In particular, the paper investigates both teacher-led 
technology-enhanced in formal learning environments and learners' self-directed learning experiences in 
informal learning and ends with concluding remarks.

１．Learner Autonomy 
During 15 years of English teaching in Japan I 
was able to experience at first hand that vastly 
changed environment in which students now live 
with greater access to English through 
Information and Communication Technology 
(ICT) provides learners with more opportunities 
to study English on their own outside class. 
Sakai and Takagi (2009) argued that Japanese 
students are very keen to achieve high scores in 
exams, which often determine their future and, 
therefore, they study outside of class, as well as 
in class to acquire adequate English proficiency. 
Accordingly, Japanese students need to take 
responsibility for their own learning to succeed 
in an exam-oriented culture. Thus, students’ 
success in language tests is related to learner 
autonomy. Under these circumstances, the 
concept of `autonomy` has gained attention as an 
important goal in language learning both in 
Japan and elsewhere. The importance of this 
concept became clear under the assumption that 
far more language education is being done for far  
more diverse situations and for more diverse 
purposes than before. Learner autonomy is 
defined as the capacity to “act independently and 
in collaboration with others” in order to take 
charge of one's own learning (Dam, 2003, p. 137), 
and to shift “between individual and 
group-driven behaviors” in order to meet one's 
own needs (Lewis, 2014, p. 39). Learner 
autonomy is based on the flexibility granted to 
students as well as their ability to translate 
environmental restrictions into affordances, 
allowing them to act independently (Benson, 
2011; Lewis, Cappellini, & Rivens Mompean, 
2017). Autonomous language learning 
emphasizes the active role that learners play in 
the learning process, and the support of learner's 
own motivation for the fulfillment of one’s full 
potential in which learners personally utilize 
social, psychological and behavioral resources to 
achieve (Benson, 2011). Autonomous language 
learning is influenced by the freedom of learners

in learning and ongoing educational reform 
aimed at allowing teachers and students to 
redefine their roles in education. It also focuses 
on the freedom of those who guide their own 
lives, as reflected in their own political 
philosophy, and addresses the pursuit of 
self-learning and informal learning described in 
the adult education literature (Benson, 2011). 
There is a wide agreement in the literature that 
autonomous learning is more effective than 
non-autonomous learning because students are 
likely to perceive more significance, personal 
relevance, emotional investment, and 
internalization in the autonomous learning 
process. 
 
２．Technology-enhanced language learning 
Technology refers to methods, systems, and 
devices that are the outcome of scientific 
knowledge being used for practical purposes. 
However, the technnological advances over time 
brought out-of-class learning to the forefront. 
Advances in technology and accessibility of PCs 
and mobile devices have provided resources and 
places for students to engage in learning beyond 
formal classrooms (Cox, 2013), and lifelong and 
lifelong learning suggestions in educational 
discourse (Field, 2000). Other research strongly 
supported the use of chat in FL learning. These 
studies show that chat has significantly 
increased both the amount and complexity of 
learners' language output. In addition, 
Ghanizadeh et al (2014) reviewed an article on 
technology-enhanced language learning 
published between 2004 and 2014 to investigate 
the effectiveness of the use of technology in 
improving language learning. They found that 
technology is used in almost every area of 
language education to improve input quality, 
make communication genuine, and provide 
timely and relevant feedback.  Ghanizadeh et al 
(2014) concluded that technology can support the 
development of all language skills (listening, 
writing, reading, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, 
etc.). For example, Na-young (2019) conducted a 
survey to investigate the impact of using 
captions and subtitles on learning a foreign 
language in South Korea. The study focused on 
investigating how Korean EFL learners use two 
different text-assisted modes, captions and 
subtitles to improve vocabulary and reading 
comprehension development of 52 participants. 
They were divided into a caption group and a 
subtitle group. The caption group watched 
audiovisual material with captions during the 
10-week experiment, and the subtitle group 
watched with subtitles. Group differences proved 
to be important, suggesting that the use of 
subtitles is more beneficial than subtitles for 
vocabulary development. In terms of reading 
comprehension, only the caption group showed a 
statistically significant change in the average 
reading comprehension score before and after 
the test. In short, audiovisual materials with 
captions can help EFL learners improve their 
reading comprehension. The group difference in 
the average score of the reading test was also 
found to be statistically significant. This shows 
that the combination of captions and audiovisual 
material is more effective in improving the 
reading comprehension of EFL learners. The 
results suggest that looking at audiovisual 
material, American sitcom friends with captions 
or subtitles can enhance vocabulary development 
for EFL learners. Therefore, foreign language 
audiovisual materials are a very powerful 
educational tool for facilitating foreign language 
learning, especially enhanced with captions or 
subtitles (Danan, 2004). For learners of English 
as a foreign language (EFL), captions and 
subtitles helped them develop their language 
skills (Hsu, Hwang, Chang, & Chang, 2013). 
Frumuselu, De Maeyer, Donche, and Plana 
(2015) investigated the impact of captions and

subtitles on learning informal and 
conversational speech by EFL learners, 
including idioms, phrasal verbs, informal terms, 
and phrases. For over seven weeks, college-level 
participants watched 13 episodes of famous 
television series. Caption groups performed 
better than subtitle groups, but both caption and 
subtitle classes improved learning, suggesting 
that captions help learn English as a foreign 
language (Na-young (2019). 
 
3．Technology and Learner autonomy 
Hubbard (2013) refuted the belief that over time, 
learners would acquire the ability to use 
technology effectively on their own, arguing that 
such skills would not be naturally transmitted to 
learners. There is a great need behind the 
effective use of various technical tools for 
language learning. Studies have demonstrated 
the effectiveness of learner training and support 
in enhancing autonomous language learning 
with technology. Researchers have found that 
target education and training in metacognitive 
strategies that interact with technology 
platforms can enhance learners' ability to realize 
the potential of language learning. O'Bryan 
(2008) found that three 10-minute educational 
training sessions on how to use functions 
improved learners' use of comments during 
online reading and further affirmed the benefits 
of the comment function. Zenotz (2012) found 
that training programs on metacognitive reading 
strategies for online reading in general help 
learners improve their reading comprehension of 
online texts. Similarly, Ranalli (2013) found that 
a 5-week online strategic instruction program on 
web-based dictionary skills leads to a significant 
increase in vocabulary retention. Richards 
(2013) developed training focused on learners' 
use of social networking sites A program to 
inform them of Facebook's norms of interaction 
and communication practices and raise their 
awareness of how Facebook is used in culturally 
appropriate ways for socialization and in ways 
that may be useful for language learning.  
 
He found that training programs helped learners 
to strengthen their use of Facebook and build 
social skills in English. He raised their 
awareness of capital and Facebook's language 
learning potential. Lai, Shum and Tian (2016) 
developed online with a focus on developing 
general language learner skills to take 
advantage of technical tools for language 
learning. A training program for learners' 
willingness to engage in the voluntary use of 
technology for language learning and for 
educational, strategic and technical knowledge 
of various technology tools for language 
development. Researchers have found that 
learners who participated in online training 
generally expressed a more positive attitude and 
awareness of the use of technology for language 
learning. These learners also reported a 
significant increase in the frequency of 
involvement in such behaviors. These studies 
include intervention programs designed to  
enhance autonomous learning for language 
learners with technology beyond the classroom. 
 
4．Teachers' Role in Autonomous Language 
Learning with Technology 
The varied facets of learner autonomy must be 
included in all discussions regarding teachers' 
roles in fostering learners' out-of-class 
autonomous use of technology for language 
acquisition. Learner autonomy, according to 
Benson (2008), encompasses both learners' 
capacities for exercising autonomy and the 
situational freedom that they use in the learning 
process. To put it another way, learners must be 
able to self-regulate their learning and willing 
and able to direct their learning processes across 
settings and contexts. As scholars have pointed

out, autonomous learning encompasses both the 
self-regulation skills required for managing 
cognitive, metacognitive, motivational, 
behavioral, and contextual factors in the 
learning process, as well as the willingness and 
capacity to take advantage of learning 
opportunities available in one's environment 
(Candy, 1991; Knowles, 1989; Stolk et al., 2010). 
As a result, teachers can have an impact on 
these three dimensions. Teacher influence on 
independent learning is divided into two 
categories by Voller (1997): psychological support 
and technical help. Psychosocial support entails 
educating students about the value of 
self-directed learning and the benefits of 
numerous tools, as well as inspiring them 
throughout the process. Technical assistance 
includes assisting students with goal-setting, 
planning, organizing, monitoring, and assessing 
their autonomous learning experience, as well as 
developing the necessary skills. Within the 
classroom and at the interface between in-class 
and out-of-class learning, teachers can have an 
impact on students' autonomous use of 
technology for language acquisition. By 
adjusting the instructional and environment 
arrangements within classrooms, teachers can 
assist students in developing self-regulation 
abilities and developing good attitudes toward 
independent learning. Teachers can help 
students become more willing and capable of 
self-directed out-of-class learning by bridging the 
gap between in-class and out-of-class learning 
situations. They can also create support systems 
both within and outside the classroom to 
encourage students to practice self-directed 
out-of-class language learning with technology.

研究成果の概要（和文） 
野焼きなど現在の大気汚染の主要因となっている開放型燃焼系からの有害排出物排出係数を評価可能な、全量
希釈型燃焼排出物評価装置を開発した。本装置では、燃焼により発生した排気全量を流量管理された希釈部に
導入し、希釈を行う方式とした。そのため、希釈後の評価対象物質濃度を測定することにより、燃焼からの対
象物質排出係数の評価が可能である。本装置の性能確認のため、木炭からの一酸化炭素、二酸化炭素の排出量
を確認し、想定した性能が得られていることを確認した。 
 
研究成果の概要（英文） 
New device which evaluates emissions from an open combustion has been developed. All exhausts from 
combustion are introduced to dilution part which flow rate is kept constant. Therefore, by measuring a 
concentration of target emission, emission factor can be obtained. To confirm a performance of this device, 
CO and CO2 emissions from charcoal was performed.

1.研究開始当初の背景 
従来大気汚染は自動車や大型煙源が主な原因であ
り、そのためこれらに特化した対策がなされてきた。
その結果大気環境は改善したが、現在も大気環境基
準が達成されていない地域が存在するため、さらな
る大気汚染対策が必要である。ただし現状では、か
つての主な原因であった自動車や大規模煙源の寄与
率は対策の結果低くなり、野焼きや調理などの影響
が相対的に高くなっている。 
野焼きは調理などからの有害物質排出量の評価は
非常にむつかしい。なぜなら、排出量は濃度と排気
流量の積により求められるが、野焼きは調理などの
開放型拡散燃焼においては、排気流量の定義が非常
にむつかしいためである。 
 
2.研究の目的 
本研究では、開放型拡散燃焼について、実験室で
燃焼排気の排出係数評価を行うことができる燃焼排
気評価装置の開発と、それを用いた全く新しい排出
係数評価手法を提案することを目的とする。具体的
には本評価装置とフーリエ変換赤外分光光度計（以
下 FTIR）を用いて CO と CO2 の評価を行う。 
 
3.研究の方法 
開発した装置は比較的環境が安定している屋内に
設置している。また計測精度を向上させるために、
燃焼ガスを全量採取し希釈を行う仕様とした。燃焼
チャンバ内で発生した燃焼ガスは、減圧弁により流
量調整しマスフローメータで流量計測を行っている
希釈ガスと混合されたのち、ブロワにより一定流量
で吸引される。このブロワによる希釈後ガスの吸引
速度は、オフィリス流量計で測定を行っている。サ
ンプリングは燃焼ガスと希釈ガスを十分に混合した
後に行えるように、混合部から 1250 mm 後方で行
う仕様とした。前記のように本装置では、燃焼ガス
を全量採取し、希釈後ガスの流量が一定であるため、
排出量の算出においては測定対象物質濃度×希釈後
ガス流量で求めることが可能である。 
本研究ではこの開発した装置の評価を行うため
に、チャンバ内でアルコールランプおよび炭の定常
拡散火炎を形成し、この火炎から生成された燃焼ガ
スを FT-IR(島津製作所 IRSpirit）を用いて測定を行
った。 
 
4.研究成果 
(1)炭からの排気エミッションの同定 
アルコールランプからの燃焼ガス測定では
2350cm ⁻ ¹付近の CO2、 3800-3500cm ⁻ ¹および
1800-1300cm⁻¹の H2O が確認されたが、炭の燃焼
においてはそれに加えて、2200-2100 cm⁻¹における
吸収帯を確認した。島津製作所提供のスペクトルデ
ータと比較したところ、本吸収帯は CO であること
が確認された。 
 
(2)エミッションに対する希釈比の影響評価 
今回の測定において、CO2 はスパンガスを用いた定
量化を行った。CO に関しては定量化を行わなかっ
た。得られた結果は希釈比によらずほぼ一定であり、
希釈比の変更に伴うチャンバからの吸引量の変化が
燃焼に影響を与えていないことが確認された。   
なおアルコールランプでの CO2 エミッション濃度
は平均で 2140ppm、炭は 4084ppm であった。
Inomata らの研究では、麦わらを燃焼させたときの
CO₂ピークは約 4000ppm であり、ほぼ同程度の値
であった。

研究成果の概要（和文） 
 本研究にて行った鋳造用マグネシウム合金（鋳造まま材）の熱間鍛造試験により，実加工速度においても結
晶粒内の金属間化合物相が動的再結晶粒の生成サイトとなることが観察された．また，純銅ロールを用いたロ
ールキャスティングにより，結晶粒内に金属間化合物相を晶出させた鋳造材を連続的に作製可能であった. 
しかし，この手法は厚板形状への利用が困難であることがわかった． 
 
 
研究成果の概要（英文） 
 In the hot forging test of magnesium alloys casting (as-cast) conducted in this study, it was observed 
that the intermetallic compound phase inside the grain became a site for the formation of dynamic 
recrystallization grains even at actual working speed. In addition, it was possible to continuously produce 
cast materials with intermetallic compound phases inside the grains by roll casting using copper rolls. 
However, this method was found to be challenging to use for thick plate shapes.

1.研究開始当初の背景 
構造材用途のマグネシウム合金の中で最も一
般的な組成である Mg-Al 系合金の塑性加工にお
いて，金属間化合物である Mg17Al12相は加工性を
低下させる原因である．一方で，市川らや H. N. 
Mathur らにより Mg17Al12 相は約 275 ℃以上の
温度から変形が塑性変形的な機構になることが
報告されている．結晶粒内に 1 μm 以上の大き
さの Mg17Al12相を分散させることで，動的再結晶
粒の生成サイトとして利用し，結晶粒を微細化す
ることが可能であると考えられる．本研究は
Mg17Al12相を利用した結晶粒微細化により，鋳造
用マグネシウム合金を塑性加工用の素材として
利用することを目指すものである． 
 
2.研究の目的 
 本研究の目的はロールキャスティング法によ
る 1 工程のみで，結晶粒内に塊状の Mg17Al12 相
が分散して晶出する鋳造材を作製することであ
る．銅合金ロールを用いたロールキャスティング
法では DC 鋳造などと比較して高い冷却速度が得
られる． 
 
3.研究の方法 
 固溶限以上の Al 元素を添加することで結晶粒
内にも Mg17Al12 相を晶出させた AZ 系双ロール
鋳造まま材を素材として熱間鍛造を行った．本実
験は結晶粒内の Mg17Al12 相近傍の動的再結晶の
観察が目的である．12 mass%の Al 元素を添加し
たAM系合金を材料としたメルトドラッグ法によ
る連続鋳造材の組織観察を行った．本実験は片側
のロールから成長する凝固層の Mg17Al12 相の晶
出状態の観察が目的である． 
 
4.研究成果 
Mg-11mass%Al-1mass%Zn 双ロール鋳造まま
材と Mg-11mass%Al-1mass%Zn 双ロール鋳造ま
ま材の熱間鍛造試験において，結晶粒内の
Mg17Al12 相周囲で動的再結晶粒が生じることが
観察された．これにより，実加工速度においても
結晶粒内の Mg17Al12 相を動的再結晶粒の生成サ
イトとして利用可能であることが明らかとなっ
た．円柱圧縮による静的試験では S. W. Xu らに
よる鋳造まま材の Mg17Al12 相の析出状態と動的
再結晶についての詳細な報告があるが，実加工速
度の成形において粒内の Mg17Al12 相周囲の動的
再結晶生成について着目した研究は行われてい
ないため，本研究の成果であると言える． 
Mg-12mass%Al-0.2mass%Mn メルトドラッグ
材と断熱シート上で凝固させた薄板材の結晶組
織の比較により，純銅ロールを用いたロール鋳造
法により，約 10 μm の塊状の Mg17Al12 相を結
晶粒内に晶出させることが可能であることがわ
かった．しかし，粒内への晶出はロール接触面側
の狭い範囲のみであったため，この手法を本研究
で作製する鋳造材の用途である塑性加工用のビ
レット及び厚板などのバルク材に利用すること
は困難であることがわかった．
