ISLAM DAN KOMUNIKASI GLOBAL
The paper deals with the question of how the Islamic world fcaes the issue of global communication affecting the develpment of religions in the world, especially Islamic tradition in the third countries. The target is the theories of the functions of communication that occur situationally, including those contained in the Quran and the Hadith which give an idea of the values and traditions of communcation in Islam. Ibn Khaldun said that Islam has the concept of tabligh as theory of communication and ethics, since in this concept there are some principles such asonotheism, enjining good and prohibiting evil, Islamic community and piety, while the word (qawl) and writing (qalam) is a timeless tradition in Islamic communication. It is these principles and values that become the basis for Muslim community to determine their position and steps in global community to determine their position and steps in global communitications arena to socialize, mantain and enhance the role of religion (Islam) in the life of mankind
DAKWATOLOGI KOMUNIKASI DAN TITIK BIAS KOMUNIKASI
Building a paradigm of Islamic communication does not have to start from scratch. In terms of synthesis base, it can use conventional communication theories. However, it is the taks of Muslim intellectuals and scholars to make a new synthesis through metatheoretical aspects, which includes epistemology, onthology, and perspective. Aspects of values and ethics should be able to collaborate with monotheism and divine responsibility. The function of communication in Islam is to relize the same meaning, leading to changes in the attitudes or behavior of the Muslim community. In the meantime, the ultimate goal of communication in Islam is the happiness in this world and the hereafter, which emphasizes on communication aspects, not communicator. In social change and community development, conventional communication tends to be positivistic and functional and is oriented to individual, not a whole social system. The values of communication such as truth, simplicity, kindness, honesty, integrity, fairness, the validity of message and source, become an important aspect of communciation in Islam. On this perspective, Islam is established on the triangular relationship between God, man, and society
TEMA DAN GAYA BAHASA SEBAGAI METODE DAKWAH (Studi tentang Ayat-Ayat Makkiyah dan Madaniyah)
As we all know that the Quran is received by the Prophet Muhammad over a period of 23 years. It was received when the Prophet was in Mecca (we call Makkiyah) and after he left Mecca (we call it Madaniyah). At the time the Quran was revealed in Makkah, which is at the beginning of receiving the relation (to be prophet), the Muslims were still in a minority and the idol worshippers were majority. Making a dialogue with unbelievers, Muhammad must use the appropriate language style and special method. The caracteristics of Makkiyah and Madaniyah language styles and themes are different. It is one of the best methods in preaching to the path of Allah appropriate with the unbeliever's mental, mind, rhought and feeling. In every stage of preaching, Muhammad (p.u.b.h.) had varied themes and models appropriate with their belief and environtmental condition. They all are revealed in how the Quran invited all people to return to Islam
SYEKH YUSUF AL-MAKASSARI: Studi Sejarah Dakwah dan Intelektual di Indonesia
The development and Islamic preaching and intellectualism in Indonesia occured in two periods, traditional and modern. In the traditional period, there was one of the leading Muslim intellectuals, Syeikh Yusuf al-Makassari. His ideas and thought seem to give considerable effect to the development of religiousity in Muslim communities in Indonesia, perticularly in the areas where he lived and spread his preaching. His core ideas include; first, the manners of remembrance to Allah, which were so perfectly written that the salik and easily remember Allah. Second, monotheism in which, Syeikh Yusuf said that God's manifestation is mandatory, and nature is only possible. Therefore, equating of the two is misleading (kufr). His concept f wahdah al-wujud is very simple and easy to understand both in a sufistic and shari'ah way, especially among ahl sunnah
URGENSI KOMUNIKASI DALAM KELOMPOK
As social beings, people always need another people to meet their needs. Therefore, an interaction with other individuals occures in the community. The community can be said as gathering of individuals who do mutual interaction and influence between those to each other. Through the group, people can meet all their needs. In order that group members can exchange information, a tool is needed to connect them, that is, communication through which people can interact, get to khow each other, express what is in their midns to others, as well as they can reach an understanding so that all needs can be met
AKTUALISASI DAKWAH DALAM PERSPEKTIF TRANSFORMASI SOSIAL
All dakwah activities can be regarded as a process of social transformation in creating fundamentally a better society. Dakwah (Islamic preaching) is the command of Allah to mankind for carrying out a social transormation for the sake of the man himself. The strategy includes giving birth to transformative forces either in the weak people who do not get benefit from the structure, or the creators of the structure, while the agenda includes the need to establish a clear vision and pradigm of social change; that is, first, creating a room that provides an opportuunity to do self-actualization under the pressure of unjust structures and systems; second, the need to fundamentally revise the approaches and mthodologies of existing practices during this mission, including revisiting the themes of dakwah, methods of training and research in the preparation of human resources in dakwah activities
