SEGREGATION OF ROMA IN EDUCATION AS ONE OF THE MANIFESTATIONS OF ANTI-GYPSYISM

    No full text
There is no doubt that racism and discrimination against Roma are manifested in European countries, and unfortunately, in many fields. Segregation in education is also rooted in the Macedonian education system, as confirmed by the results of many studies mentioned in this paper, led by the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Elmazova and Others v. North Macedonia (Applications No. 11811/20 and 13550/20). The analysis of this judgment explains in detail the process in our legislation that preceded the submission of the application to the ECHR, which highlights the very moments in which our system failed to protect Roma by discriminating against them and violating their fundamental human rights. This paper analyzes the concept of segregation as well as the types of segregation with a special focus on segregation in education in our country. I tried to investigate the roots of institutional discrimination in more detail as I analyzed the beginnings of the emergence of Anti-Gypsyism; which led me to the conclusion that nations / states are key culprits for creating discriminatory policies towards Roma, placing them in an inferior position compared to other citizens

INTEGRATING AI AND CLOUD COMPUTING FOR EFFICIENT AUDIO ANALYSIS

    No full text
Abstract. This paper propose a pipeline for sentiment analysis of audio inputs by using AI and techniques for speech recognition. A key aspect of our approach involves determining audio chunks based on silence detection and decibel height, allowing for more effective segmentation and analysis of the input data. These techniques will be instrumental in categorizing audio materials, enabling more organized and accessible content management. In the scope of this paper, we will compare and utilize several Python packages for audio detection, including Librosa, PyDub, and SoundFile, which offer various functionalities for audio analysis and manipulation. Additionally, we discuss the high computational demands associated with training and deploying of models, highlighting the potential cost barriers for many organizations. To address these challenges, we propose the use of cloud-based solutions, specifically AWS Spot Instances, Azure Spot VMs, and Google Cloud Preemptible VMs, which offer substantial cost savings for processing audio data. By leveraging these cloud resources, organizations can significantly reduce expenses while maintaining high performance in AI audio processing tasks

THE USE OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT METHODS AND TECHNIQUES

    No full text
This research aims to present various methods and techniques for improving business processes through proactive management. The contemporary approach to process management requires a rapid response to enhance or halt the production process, with quality control emerging as an operational activity primarily focused on process improvement, rather than merely an activity that monitors the current state. For manufacturers to meet consumer expectations, they must adjust the design of the production process, the performance of machines, acquire necessary equipment and technology, use appropriate materials, ensure skilled workers with continuous training and supervision, all while applying Total Quality Management (TQM). Process management, as a key factor in customer acquisition, involves a continuous search for the best technical, technological, marketing, and other improvements. To achieve this, all phases of the process—from the input elements of production and the production process to the creation of the new product—are controlled. The central question addressed in this paper is: How can methods such as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and other approaches be optimally applied to eliminate errors in industrial processes to improve quality and productivity? The aim of this paper is not only to analyze the application of FMEA but also to identify the most effective strategies for implementation, best practices, and possible improvements in business processes

THE CHALLENGES OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN THE POST-COVID ERA

    No full text
The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly transformed international relations, exposing critical vulnerabilities in global cooperation frameworks. This paper explores the multifaceted challenges that have emerged in the post-Covid era, focusing on political, economic, security, and socio-cultural dimensions. The initial global response was marked by a surge in nationalism and isolationism, disrupting established multilateral systems and exacerbating geopolitical tensions, particularly between major powers such as the United States and China. Trust in international institutions, including the WHO and the UN, has declined, highlighting the urgent need for reform and stronger global coordination mechanisms. Economically, the pandemic caused widespread supply chain disruptions, increased unemployment, and widened inequality, compelling nations to reconsider their dependency on global networks. In terms of security, the crisis emphasized the importance of cybersecurity and health systems as integral components of national and global stability. Moreover, the pandemic catalyzed social and cultural shifts, with digitalization redefining communication, work, and education, while mental health and local resilience emerged as key priorities. The research underscores the necessity of revitalizing multilateralism and developing adaptive strategies for future crises. By analyzing the pandemic’s long-term impact on international relations, this paper advocates for stronger international solidarity, inclusive governance, and sustainable global policies. The findings aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of the post-Covid international order and provide strategic insights for building a more resilient and cooperative global community

THE PHENOMENON OF GHOSTING IN DIGITAL COMMUNICATION

    No full text
In recent years, the concept of ghosting has gained attention in both every day and academic communication. Scholars define it as the interruption of communication initiated by one person (temporary or permanent), with the intention of limiting or completely severing contact with individuals who negatively impact the relationship, often accomplished using one or more technological channels (LeFebvre et al., 2019). This paper analyzes scientific articles on the phenomenon of ghosting, published in full on Google Scholar between 2017 and 2024. The corpus was narrowed to 50 freely available full-text articles from humanities fields, including psychology, communication, and language studies, and categorized into four thematic groups: articles focusing on personality traits, articles centered on individual characteristics, studies examining motivation, and research addressing the consequences of ghosting. Research indicates that ghosting is driven by personal characteristics, coping styles, and the ease of ending contact in digital environments, while at the same time producing a range of negative emotional reactions, especially in long-term relationships and friendships. The research findings indicate that ghosting is a multidimensional phenomenon that can be explained only when all relevant factors are considered, including individual traits, motivation, consequences, and contextual influences. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for a more precise definition of the phenomenon itself, as it manifests differently depending on the goals of individuals who employ this abrupt communication-termination style and on the victim’s perception
