TWO GEOGRAPHIES, ONE SOUL: SUFISTIC DEPTH IN THE POETRY OF ILHAMI EMIN AND BAHTIYAR VAHAPZADE

    No full text
This article aims to trace Sufi tendencies in modern Turkish literature by comparatively examining the poetry of two prominent Turkish poets, Ilhami Emin and Bahtiyar Vahapzade, who grew up in different geographical and cultural environments. Although they belong to the same nation, one was raised in North Macedonia and the other in Azerbaijan. The study focuses on how Sufism is reflected in their works, which themes stand out, and how these themes are expressed through their poetic language. The research is based on comparative and philological methods. Ilhami Emin, regarded as a cornerstone of North Macedonian Turkish literature, explores Sufi themes primarily through an individual and introspective lens, emphasizing the human soul and spiritual depth. His poetry is enriched with abstract imagery and symbolism, inviting readers into an inner journey and spiritual quest. On the other hand, Bahtiyar Vahapzade, a powerful voice in Azerbaijani literature, addresses Sufi elements not only on a personal level but also from a national and social perspective. His poetry emphasizes the soul of the people, historical identity, and spiritual values. The influence of classical Sufi poets such as Mevlânâ, Yunus Emre, and Fuzûlî is clearly evident in Vahapzade\u27s work. While the two poets differ in their approaches to Sufi poetry, the article reveals that they converge in a shared spiritual sensibility. Ilhami Emin’s inward, symbolic expression and Bahtiyar Vahapzade’s direct and socially grounded poetic voice both represent diverse reflections of Sufism in modern Turkish poetry

REVIEW AND ANALYTICAL REFLECTION ON THE PROJECT: “CONTEMPORARY APPROACHES IN INTERCULTURAL PRAGMATICS RESEARCH AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING – FROM SCIENTIFIC CONCEPTS TO PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION”

    No full text
Modern foreign language teaching increasingly emphasizes the need to integrate intercultural pragmatic competence among foreign language learners as a key segment of the educational process. Pragmatics, as a discipline that studies language in a specific communicative context, provides insight into the ways speakers from different cultures express their intentions in a culturally appropriate and acceptable manner. This project explores contemporary approaches in intercultural pragmatics and their practical application in the teaching of German and English as foreign languages, in comparison with the Macedonian language and the speech patterns of native speakers. The research focuses on the impact of cultural differences on communication strategies, the phenomenon of politeness, and the interpretation of speech acts in interlanguage communication. Theoretical frameworks from sociopragmatics, cultural and anthropological analysis of communication, as well as contrastive pragmatics, are applied. The empirical data comprise a corpus of authentic discourses, with the aim of identifying culturally specific patterns and developing teaching strategies to enhance pragmatic awareness among foreign language learners. The project is original in its emphasis on the practical application of intercultural pragmatics in teaching and its orientation towards a globally relevant yet insufficiently researched topic. The results have the potential to significantly improve curricula and create teaching modules with practical value for the European and wider academic community, opening opportunities for international cooperation in the fields of applied linguistics, second foreign language teaching, and intercultural communication

GLOBAL CORRELATED SIGNAL GAMES UNIQUE EQUILIBRIA:CURRENCY ATTACKS WITH(OUT) STERILIZATIONS AND BANK RUNS WITH HETEROGENOUS COST AND DIAMOND SEARCH MODEL AS GLOBAL GAME

    No full text
Correlated signal games applied to currency attacks with or without sterilization and Diamond-Dybvig model with heterogenous costs. We are deriving unique equilibrium in those Global games. With heterogenous costs attack or run decisions now feature individual thresholds/Homogenous agents mean multiple equilibria (coordination failure), with heterogenous agents (there is unique equilibrium).  Some speculators are “small” or “risk-averse” (high ), others are “large” or “informed” (low ). The attack starts with low-cost speculators and builds up as fundamentals deteriorate. This introduces gradual coordination instead of a discrete “sudden run. ”In the Bank run model, each depositor has a different threshold for early withdrawal. The run becomes partial — not all withdraw simultaneously. The heterogeneity can also eliminate multiple equilibria, producing a unique global game equilibrium. In terms of payoff externality: Peg collapses if many attack, Bank collapses if many withdraw. Sterilization makes worst outcome in Morris-Shin model for: Reserves, collapse probability, attack cutoffs , and introduces higher fiscal costs i.e. higher welfare loss. In the global game Diamond search-matching model there is unique (single cutoff θ*) unlike in discrete version of the model where there are multiple equilibria (high and low activity). In global game version of the model refinement selects unique rationalizable outcome, so coordination failure is not possible

A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO REAL ESTATE PRICE ESTIMATION: THE CASE STUDY SLOVAKIA: UDC: 004.42.043:332.72(437.6)

Automated value model (AVM) is a computerized statistically based software that collects and uses Big Data in the real estate sector. It uses property information such as comparable and historical sales, property characteristics, price trends, and any other information relevant to the property in its algorithm. The effectiveness of using AVM depends on the amount and especially the quality of the data used, because only high-quality data can be considered reliable and representative. At the same time, it should be added that machine data collection and evaluation in the field of real estate would never be as accurate as manual valuation, where the appraiser can, based on his knowledge and experience, take into account factors that are not taken into account and documented in the collected data, through a physical inspection. Even if an appraiser uses certain specific methods to determine the price of a property, the appraiser\u27s subjectivity factor always enters the valuation process, which can create a certain deviation in human-generated sales prices compared to the price generated by the software. The following contribution is devoted to the issue of creating an AVM model for evaluating real estate sales prices. The authors collaborated on the creation of such a model for practice in Slovak conditions, the main goal of which was to in-crease the efficiency and productivity of work in the field of real estate valuation

Modern traction power supply systems face growing demands for greater efficiency, reliability, and capacity. This paper explores the integration of battery energy storage systems as a key technology to address these challenges. By capturing and reusing energy from regenerative braking, battery energy storage systems significantly enhances system performance. Deployed as either stationary wayside units or on-board systems), this technology offers three primary benefits: improving power efficiency through peak shaving and reducing grid dependency; increasing network capacity to support more or longer vehicles without costly infrastructure upgrades; and mitigating line voltage fluctuations caused by vehicle acceleration and braking. This paper is the basis for further research into the application of battery energy storage systems in the tram and trolleybus network of Bratislava. The findings from this paper will be applied with regard to the specifics of the transport network and its traction system in the authors further research

SPECIFIC TOOLS FOR THE INTERGENERATIONAL PRESERVATION OF FAMILY COMPANIES AND WEALTH IN SLOVENIA AND HUNGARY

    No full text
Family companies constitute an essential type of company in national and global economies, yet their long-term survival depends on effective succession planning. If the intergenerational transfer is not arranged in advance, the company faces the risk of fragmentation and even dissolution. Rather than comparing an identical legal tool in both jurisdictions, the article investigates two different instruments: one for advance and timely planning, and the other for the prevention of fragmentation through succession when no prior planning exists. Each tool is analyzed within its national framework, with the aim of demonstrating how such instruments may serve as role models not only for Slovenia and Hungary, but also for other jurisdictions. From the perspective of Slovenian law, the article considers whether special protective succession rules, similar to those preventing the fragmentation of protected farms, could be introduced to preserve family companies in cases where no prior transfer arrangements exist. From the perspective of Hungarian law, the paper analyses the asset management foundation, a private-law mechanism that allows founders to determine conditions for the governance and transfer of family wealth across multiple generations. The comparison reveals two contrasting approaches: a statutory framework aimed at preventing fragmentation of family companies, and a flexible private-law tool reserved primarily for families with substantial assets. Despite their differences in scope and accessibility, both instruments may coexist within a national framework: one facilitating advance succession planning, the other preventing fragmentation in its absence
