    We are saddened to learn of the passing of Jean Lafitte Howells, wife of LSG co-founder John Howells of Houston, Texas, who died suddenly on 22 March 1989. Mrs. Howells, a registered nurse, was a descendant of John B. Laffite, the famous New Orleans merchant and Civil War blockade runner
