A NONPARAMETRIC SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION BASED ON TRANSIENT ANALYSIS WITH PLANT PROCESS OF HEAT EXCHANGER AS STUDY CASE
In this article, a nonparametric identification system based on transient analysis has been reviewed, by taking the case in some of the data plant process of heat exchanger. Results of the study found that the first-order transfer function without time-delay the proposed model to the data with a temperature constant value is 35.20 ºC and the time constant is 7200 seconds. This model has been fit to meet the existing data proving that the results of the calculation error do not exceed 2
THE EFFORTS ON SUSTAINABILITY OF THE ACHIEVEMENT FKMP ON QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKING TOP 300 BY SUBJECT
This article review each vital elements and aspects that contribute to sustain recent achievement of Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (FKMP), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia by the QS world university ranking by subject in 2015. Some of recent and important issues are discussed and reviewed. The suggestions for improvements are also raised out for further reference
PREPARATION AND PHOTOLUMINESCENCE PROPERTIES OF RF-SPUTTERED ZnO FILMS
ZnO/Si films were prepared by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering at room temperature. By optimizing the heat treatment conditions, we obtained a good quality film annealed at 700 ºC for longer 60 minutes. This process was monitored carefully by Raman scattering spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The photoluminescence study on this film revealed that only ultraviolet emissions due to donor-acceptor pair (DAP), neutral acceptor-bound exciton (AºX) and donor-bound exciton (DºX) were observed. The intensity and peak position of these emissions depend on the measurement temperature and excitation power density
SIMILARITY AND NONSIMILARITY SOLUTIONS ON FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER OVER A WEDGE WITH POWER LAW STREAM CONDITION
The similarity and non-similarity analysis are presented to investigate the effect of buoyancy force on the steady flow and heat transfer of fluid past a heated wedge. The fluid is assumed to be a Newtonian, viscous and incompressible. The wall of the wedge is an impermeable with power law free stream velocity and a wall temperature. Due to the effect of a buoyancy force, a power law of free stream velocity and wall temperature, then the flow field is similar when n = 2m - 1, otherwise is non-similar when n ≠ 2m - 1. The governing boundary layer equations are written into dimensionless forms of ordinary differential equations by means of Falkner-Skan transformation. The resulting ordinary differential equations are solved by Runge-Kutta Gill with shooting method for finding a skin friction and a rate of heat transfer. The effects of buoyancy force and non-uniform wall temperature parameters on the dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles are shown graphically. Comparisons with previously published works are performed and excellent agreement between the results is obtained. The conclusion is drawn that the flow field and temperature profiles are significantly influenced by these parameters
OPTIMIZATION OF SOLAR-WIND-DIESEL HYBRID POWER SYSTEM DESIGN USING HOMER
Indonesia has a lot of potential for renewable energy. Electricity generation from hybrid solar and wind energy will be a prospective solution to fulfill electricity supply for remote and rural communities. Although diesel generator was still part of the hybrid power system, however, with a proper design, the fuel consumption could be reduced significantly. HOMER software was utilized to aid the design process by providing optimum configuration of the hybrid power system components in terms of performance and economy
