PERTAHANAN NEGARA, REALITAS SOSIAL KEAGAMAAN, DAN ANCAMAN NONMILITER DI YOGYAKARTA*
The concept and strategy of national security of Indonesia includes the resilience of all areas of thecountry against military and non-military threats. From a sociological perspective, non-militarythreats exist in a dynamic social and environmental world and are constantly changing in form.Non-military threats have a broader dimension, including ideological, social, economic, cultural,political, information technology and public safety. Various facts about regional conditions andsocio-religious dynamics in the Special Region of Yogyakarta are indicators that show a source ofproblems as a potential non-military threat. The article from the field research using the followingqualitative method contains an interpretive description of various non-military threats frominternal conditions, as well as external influences. Internal conditions are caused by the Yogyakartaregion which is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean, the ring of fire area, and the city of studyand tourism destinations. As for the external conditions for non-military threats, among others,due to the influence of globalization, geopololitical conditions, ideological flows such as radicalismand massive caiptalization from outside Indonesia. There are three forms of non-military threatsin Yogyakarta that urgently need a strategy to respond and resolve them. The three non-militarytherats are religious radicalism, narcotics and illegal drugs, as well as the negative impact of virtualculture; such as the rise of hate and hoaxes that can damage unity, because it causes discord of thenation
AN INVESTIGATION INTO NETIZEN COMMENTS ON INDONESIAN PROMINENT LEADERS’ INSTAGRAM POSTS AND LANGUAGE LEARNING IMPLICATIONS
Instagram serves as an example of the most famous social media platforms. Instagram, particularly for the executives, can favorably relate connections among politicians, voters, and other supportive or contending parties. The current research aimed to analyze the form of social criticism delivered by netizens on the comments towards three Indonesian politicians' Instagram posts, namely Anies Baswedan, Ridwan Kamil, and Ganjar Pranowo, who have millions of followers putting concerns towards what they did on Instagram. Besides, the research also aimed to identify some pedagogical implications of Instagram on language learning. A qualitative approach was employed to uncover the three dimensions of the discourse: positivism-empiricists, constructivism, and critical into one analysis unit or social cognition. The research found that netizens' comments were in line with the status postings of each of the governor published on Instagram, focus on the three governors' performance during their tenure, and affected by the background of the supporting parties. This research supports the idea that Instagram is a viable means of language learning because it can provide a meaningful context to learn a language
ASSOCIATIVE SOCIAL INTERACTION; HARMONY RELATIONSHIP OF MUSLIMS WITH SAPTA DARMA PEOPLE
AbstrakManusia merupakan mahluk sosial yang dalam menjalankan kehidupan selalu bergantung pada orang lain, interaksi sosial yang saling menguntungkan merupakan salah satu upaya yang harus dilakukan oleh setiap individu untuk mencukupi semua kebutuhan yang diperlukan, sekalipun harus berinteraksi dengan individu lain yang berbeda Agama. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melihat interaksi sosial masyarakat Muslim dengan penganut kepercayaan Sapta Darma di Pare Kediri. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, maka penelitia akan melakukan observasi langsung di lapangan guna mendalami model hubungan interaksi sosial yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat Muslin dan Sapta Darma membangun interaksi sosial dengan model asosisatif, di mana hubungan sosial terjadi dengan saling menguntungkan, sehingga tecipta hubungan yang rukun dan harmonis, selain itu kedua kelompok juga membangun teologi inklusif sebagai landasan dalam membangun hubungan antar umat beragama, dan terakhir tradisi memegang peranan penting sebagai medan kerukunan dalam interaksi sosial.Kata kunci: Muslim, Sapta Darma, Tradisi, Inklusif, Assosiatif
Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Animasi Powtoon Terhadap Hasil Belajar Ditinjau dari Minat Belajar Peserta Didik
Penelitian ini bertujuan (a) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon dan media konvensional. (b) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara media animasi powtoon terhadap hasil belajar jika ditinjau dari minat belajar. (c) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon dan media pembelajaran konvensional untuk kelas peserta didik yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi. (d) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon dan media konvensional untuk kelas yang memiliki minat belajar rendah. Jenis penelitian yaitu Quasi Experimental dengan menggunakan Treatment by level design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 38 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Angket Minat dan Tes Hasil Belajar. Analisis data menggunakan Analisis Varians-2 Arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) Hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon lebih tinggi dari kelas yang diajarkan media konvensional. (b) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara media pembelajaran dan minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar. (c) Untuk kelas yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi, hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon lebih tinggi dari kelas yang diajarkan dengan media konvensional. (d) Untuk kelas yang memiliki minat belajar rendah, hasil belajar kelas yang diajarkan dengan media animasi powtoon lebih tinggi dari media konvensional. The study was conducted to (1) Find the differences of class using powtoon as media and class using conventional media. (2) Find the impact of using powtoon as media on student’s final grade from students learning interest point of view. (3) Find out the differences of final grade from students with high learning interest using powtoon and conventional media. (4) Find out the differences of student’s grades with low learning interest using Powtoon and conventional media. The study was conducted with quantitative approach and Quasi Experimental utilizing treatment by level design. The samples are 38 students. Data was collected by questionnaires and test’s grade. We used Two Way Analysis of Variance. Results show that: (1) The grade of class that apply powtoon was higher than the class using conventional media. (2) We found the existence of learning media (powtoon) impact on student’s learning interest. (3) Group of students with high learning interest using powtoon as media had higher grade compared to group using conventional media. (4) Group of students with low learning interest using powtoon as. media had higher grade compared to group with low learning interest using conventional media
EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE OF BLENDED LEARNING IN INDONESIAN EFL CLASS
Blended learning requires digital technology transformation for lecturers and students, up-to-date teaching methods, flexible learning processes, the effectiveness of time, space, budget, learning motivation, learning autonomy, all of which contribute to improving student learning achievement. However, current empirical research results do not support the claim that blended learning improves students' English proficiency and learning autonomy. Evidence shows that the blended learning has an effect on students' English competence, learning autonomy, motivation, and ICT literacy. For this article, the effect of blended learning in ESL/EFL was investigated and defined. This study is a quantitative explanatory research type with a pre-test and post-test design. The research participants were 198 students from the Elementary Education Study Program of Universitas Katolik Indonesia Santu Paulus Ruteng. Seventy-four participants were chosen as samples using a random sampling method. Data was taken by test and non-test, and data was then analyzed by a software program called SPSS 22.0. Twelve blended learning sessions, including six sessions in face-to-face settings and six sessions, are done virtually through the Zoom application. The results show that blended learning strengthens English student competence (the mean score on the post-test = 82.57), learning autonomy (88.57%), learning motivation (80%), and ICT literacy (71.43%)
Takhrīj Al-Hadīth Terhadap Hadis-Hadis Dalam Buku Fikih Madrasah Aliyah
Abstract (Times New Roman 12, ditebalkan)This research focuses on tracking the sources of hadiths contained in the book of Jurisprudent Madrasah Aliyah on the main hadith books as compiled by mukharrij and determining the quality of hadith. In order to trace the source and understanding of hadith is used the books of hadith written by mukharrijnya and sharh each of these books. While the references used to determine the quality of sanad, in which there is a narration, which leads to the quality of each hadith will be used the book rijāl al-hadīth. While the technique for determining the quality of hadith will be used the opinion of Jumhūr al-'ulamā', who argues that the terms and indicators of the validity of sanad hadith are the connected sanadnya, the quality rāwī 'ādil, rāwīnya dābit, avoid shudhūdh, and avoid 'illat. The results of this study found 933 sources of hadith from 151 hadith contained in the Book of Jurisprudency Class X, XI, and XII. Each hadith was found to an average of 6.18 hadith sources. Of the 151 sahīh li dhātihi quality hadiths as many as 101 (66.88%), Sahīh li Ghairihi as many as 2 (1.32%), Hasan li Dhātihi as many as 24 (15.89%), Hasan li Ghairihi as many as 2 (1.32%), and Da'īf as many as 22 (14.57%). Keywords:Takhrīj al-HadĪth, Fikih Madrasah Aliyah.__________________________ AbstrakPenelitian ini memfokuskan pada pelacakan sumber hadis-hadis yang terdapat pada buku Fikih Madrasah Aliyah pada kitab-kitab hadis pokok sebagaimana disusun oleh mukharrij dan penentuan kualitas hadis. Dalam rangka melacak sumber dan pemahaman hadis digunakan kitab-kitab hadis yang ditulis oleh mukharrijnya dan sharh masing-masing kitab tersebut. Sedangkan referensi yang digunakan untuk menentukan kualitas sanad, yang di dalamnya terdapat periwayat, yang berujung pada kualitas hadis masing-masing akan digunakan kitab rijāl al-hadīth. Sedangkan teknik untuk menentukan kualitas hadis akan digunakan pendapat Jumhūr al-`ulamā', yang berpendapat bahwa syarat dan indikator kesahīhan sanad hadis adalah sanadnya bersambung, rāwīnya berkualitas `ādil, rāwīnya dābit, terhindar dari shudhūdh, dan terhindar dari `illat. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan 933 sumber hadis dari 151 hadis yang terdapat dalam Buku Fikih Kelas X, XI, dan XII. Setiap satu hadis diketemukan rata-rata 6,18 sumber hadis. Dari 151 hadis yang berkualitas Sahīh li Dhātihi sebanyak 101 (66,88%), Sahīh li Ghairihi sebanyak 2 (1,32%), Hasan li Dhātihi sebanyak 24 (15,89%), Hasan li Ghairihi sebanyak 2 (1,32%), dan Da’īf sebanyak 22 (14,57%) Kata Kunci:Takhrīj al-HadĪth, Fikih Madrasah Aliyah._________________________
Rahasia Tartib Surah dan Ayat Al-Quran dari Unsur Bilangan (Kajian Pemikiran Izza Rohman)
Perbedaan susunan ayat Al-Qur’an dengan urutan diturunkannya Al-Qur’an menarik untuk diteliti. Yaitu Izza Rohman yang mengkaji tentang perbandingan urutan ayat Al-Quran antara muskhaf dan kejadiannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengupas ulang dengan mengkaitkan dengan kajian-kajian lain yang melengkapi kajian dari Izza Rohman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan literatur yang menggunakan literatur-literatur yang ada kemudian mengkaitkannya menjadi satu kesatuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa urutan surah dan ayat Al-Quran menjadi inspirasi dan objek kajian yang perbedaan urutannya mempunyai alasan mendasar. Ditemukannya adanya keteraturan dan keserasian dari nomor surah dan ayat dalam Al-Quran. Keteraturan dan keserasian ini menunjukkan kemukjizatan Al-Quran dilihat dari bilangan tartib surah dan ayat-ayatnya. Salah satunya adalah kajian tentang keistimewaan bilangan 7 dan bilangan 19. Dari bilangan tersebut dapat diungkap beberapa rahasia nomor surat dan nomor ayat. Selain itu juga kajian tentang lafadz bismillah yang didalamnya mengandung angka 7 dan 19 juga.The difference in the arrangement of the verses of the Qur'an with the order in which the Qur'an was revealed is interesting to study. Namely Izza Rohman who studied the comparison of the order of the verses of the Qur'an between the muskhaf and its occurrence. The purpose of this study is to re-explore by linking it with other studies that complement the study of Izza Rohman. The research method used is a literature approach that uses the existing literature and then links it into a single unit. The results showed that the order of the surahs and verses of the Qur'an became the inspiration and object of study whose different sequences had basic reasons. The discovery of the regularity and harmony of the number of surahs and verses in the Al-Quran. This order and harmony shows the miracles of the Al-Quran seen from the number of tartib surahs and verses. One of them is the study of the peculiarities of the numbers 7 and 19. From these numbers, several secrets of letter numbers and verse numbers can be revealed. In addition, there is also a study of the bismillah lafadz which contains the numbers 7 and 19 as well
ONLINE LEARNING AMIDST COVID 19 PANDEMIC DISRUPTION: EFL LECTURERS AND STUDENTS’ CLASSROOM INTERACTION
Due to Covid 19 pandemic, for the last two years face-to-face classroom instruction in all education level has been migrated to online mode which may be conducted elsewhere outside of the face-to-face classroom context. This shifting brings a new trend in the classroom interaction between teachers and students. This study aims at finding out types of classroom interaction the lecturers and students do in running online learning in a public university in Palembang. Qualitative method with a case study design was employed in this study. The participants of this study were the lecturers and students who taught and learned speaking subject in English education study program at one public university. The data were collected through observation and interview to the EFL lecturers and students. The data were analyzed by using thematic analysis through coding process. The findings revealed that there were four kinds of classroom interactions commonly happened during the online learning activities, viz. Student-instructor, student-student, student-content, and student-interface interactions
PENGARUH NILAI TUKAR RUPIAH DAN JUMLAH UANG BEREDAR TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PERUSAHAAN KALBE FARMA TBK TAHUN 2014-2018
Harga saham dari suatu perusahaan bisa menunjukkan kinerja dari perusahaan tersebut. Harga saham akan terpengaruh seketika oleh perubahan makro ekonomi, karena investor akan mengkalkulasi dampak baik positif maupun negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan kemudian mengambil keputusan saat ini untuk membeli atau menjual saham yang bersangkutan. Oleh karena itu harga saham lebih cepat menyesuaikan terhadap perubahan variabel-variabel makroekonomi dibandingkan kinerja perusahaan. Untuk objek penelitian adalah perusahaan Kalbe Farma Tbk yang telah aktif dan terdaftar di Jakarta Islamic Index tahun 2014-2018. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan bantuan software SPSS 21.0. Hasil penelitian variabel nilai tukar rupiah ( ) terhadap harga saham menunjukkan hasil uji t dimana nilai signifikan dari variabel nilai tukar rupiah sebesar 0,003 α (0,05) dan nilai t hitung sebesar -3,136 t tabel sebesar -2,00247 yang artinya nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh negatif terhadap harga saham perusahaan Kalbe Farma Tbk. Sedangkan hasil penelitian variabel jumlah uang beredar ) terhadap harga saham menunjukkan hasil uji t uji t dimana nilai signifikan dari variabel jumlah uang beredar sebesar 0,226 α (0,05) dan nilai t hitung sebesar 1,223 t tabel sebesar 2,00247 yang artinya jumlah uang beredar tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham perusahaan Kalbe Farma Tbk
IS THE TEST SENSIBLE? DEVELOPING A CRITICAL READING TEST FOR INDONESIAN EFL LEARNERS
Abstract: This study aims at developing a critical reading test for third-semester students of English Language and Literature Department at Universitas Brawijaya Malang in the 2020/ 2021 academic year. This (R D) project is intended to assess students' progress and is supposed to offer accurate and trustworthy results. The subjects were twenty students from the English Language and Literature Department at Universitas Brawijaya who took part in the try out stage. The test items' difficulty indices ranged from 0.26 to 0.89. The reliability coefficient for the KR-20 was determined to be 0.95, indicating that this multiple choice critical reading comprehension test is valid and reliable. Despite of the fact that the Critical Reading test is declared valid and reliable, the students’ score taking the Critical Reading test during the try out is less satisfactory. This might be caused by limited number of students taking the try out or problems dealing with teaching and learning process of critical reading in the classroom causing students’ inability to do the test well. Future researchers are suggested to address this issue by either involving more participants during the try out to get the reasons underlying students lack of ability in doing critical reading test
