    Harold Alfond Boathouse in the 1990s

    The Harold Alfond Boathouse in fron of the Rollins College campus. Built in 1990, this boathouse replaced the dilapidated and overcrowded Lake Virginia Boathouse, which was built in 1961 after the original Lake Virginia Boathouse, built in 1904, was destroyed by Hurricane Donna during the summer of 1960. The new boathouse is named after Harold Alfond, a Rollins benefactor who was also a Rollins parent

    The Park Avenue School as seen in the 1920s. The building was constructed in 1914 and used as a public school until bought by Rollins in 1961. It was used as a regular classroom facility until 1972 when it became the home for the night school. The building was demolished after the construction of the Cornell Hall for the Social Sciences in 1988. The space is now occupied by the Rollins Parking Garage and the SunTrust Plaza

    The completed SunTrust Plaza as seen looking down Park Avenue in 1999. The SunTrust Plaza was built in 1998 along with the Rollins Parking Garage. Where both buildings now stand was an empty lot owned and used by Rollins for student parking. Up to 1989, the old Park Avenue School was on the property as well. The new plaza includes The Gap, Restoration Hardware, Starbucks, Merrill Lynch, Coldwell Banker, and other smaller shops

    The Rose Skillman Hall in 1964 during campaign season. The hall was built in 1958 to serve as the dining area for Rollins students. The hall was named after Rose Skillman, an honorable Rollins Trustee who later earned an honorary degree from the college in 1960. In 1972 its lower level became the campus bookstore. The hall was almost completely torn down in 1999 when it was renovated into the Cornell Campus Center (only the kitchen remains)
