Professional Integration and Requirements of the Teaching Profession in Physical Education (Case of Trainee Teachers in the Southern Sector in Tunisia)
This research is part of the framework of professional didactics which puts the teacher’s activity at the centre of his analysis. It is an exploratory, descriptive and comparative study that aims to investigate the professional integration (PI) of Tunisian physical education and sports (PE) teachers with the particularity of being recruited after five years of unemployment since obtaining their diplomas. The objective is to measure the effect of experience and level of intervention on the intensity of difficulties to verify the development of novices during the PI period. To meet the objectives of this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 135 PE ES in the southern Tunisian sector. To decant the differences in the experiences of PSE PEs, the study sample is divided into three groups according to the experience to verify the effect of the latter on the intensity of difficulties. Also, a comparison between three groups according to the sub-bodies of PE teachers was made to verify the effect of the level of intervention. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that beginning PE teachers face difficulties with different degrees. The results of this study show that the categories of difficulties most cited are pedagogical/didactic. In second place comes the category of organizational difficulties. The difficulties related to private life and the category of relationship difficulties are of low intensity. The most salient difficulties are classroom management (78%), business travel, learning assessment, learning planning and organizational constraints. The results also showed that Tunisian PE teachers encounter the same difficulties with different degrees during the PI period. Work experience during the PI period does not appear to affect the intensity of hardship. Also, the difficulties are not experienced in the same way by the teaching sub-bodies. In conclusion, in a context in which the recruitment of PE teachers is becoming more and more difficult, following a long period of unemployment and in the absence of PI and training programs for novices, the PI of PE is becoming difficult. To upgrade PE in Tunisia, recruitment must take into consideration several personal and contextual factors. Also, training and support programs for the NP before and during the internship period become a requirement
Out of the Marginality: The Pursuit of Female Community in Little Fires Everywhere
Celeste Ng, also called Wu Qishi, is a new generation of American female writer. While inheriting the traditional writing on culture and identity exploration, she expands her vision to other minority groups in society. Little Fires Everywhere is her most representative work since the publication of Everything I Never Told You. The novel unfolds through two story lines, presenting three marginal women, and they are from different background. This paper integrates the discourse on the marginal man and the theory of community to analyze the predicament of the three marginal women and its underlying causes. It reveals that the author provides a solution for women transcend their marginalized status by establishing a female community. The female community aims at subverting gender, class and social oppression, taking female friendship as spiritual bonds, and Shaker Heights as the space for coexistence, which provides a useful field for marginal women to break through their predicament and find a sense of belonging
“I Finally Love Who I See in the Mirror”: American Substance Users’ Reconstruction of Individualized Identity in the Recovery Trajectory
Substance use disorder (SUD) imposes a significant economic burden on the United States, with costs related to healthcare, criminal justice, and lost productivity. Despite its prevalence, recovery remains underexplored, particularly regarding identity reconstruction and its economic implications. To the best of my knowledge, no study focuses on Americans’ identity reconstruction (social or individualized) in recovery, particularly in online platforms. This study specifically examines how ‘individualized identity’ is constructed in substance use recovery, an area with limited research. It explores the stages and themes of individualization in American substance users’ identity statements published on public recovery platforms. A macro-level analysis identifies three stages of individualized Identity reconstruction (Webb et al., 2022)—staying safe, exploring, and self-determining—each associated with psychological, social, and economic challenges. Individuals in recovery navigate financial instability, employment barriers, and housing insecurity, all which impact reintegration. A key finding is the role of stigma management in later recovery stages, where individuals reframe societal perceptions to improve their social and economic prospects. Additionally, the ‘individualized voice’ was examined from a linguistic perspective (Helms-Park & Stapleton, 2003), revealing a shift from dependency on external validation to assertive self-identification. The findings suggest that effective recovery policies should incorporate economic support mechanisms and reduce structural barriers to long-term reintegration
A Survey on Digital Tourism Experience and Satisfaction from the College Students’ Perspective: A Case Study of Students of SISU
With the rapid development of information technology, digital transformation is reshaping the tourism industry through digital tools, the internet, and big data, enhancing the overall travel experience with more personalized and high-quality services. As key participants in digital tourism, college students’ experience feedback is crucial for the future development and optimization of digital tourism. This study utilizes the questionnaire survey method to investigate the digital tourism situation of the students of Sichuan International Studies University, which finds that the digital tourism experience of college students presents diversified characteristics, including not only limited to digital tourism platform activities, virtual tourism experience, and social media interaction and sharing. College students are basically satisfied with digital tourism. Through the interview method, we can know the reasons why college students are dissatisfied with or moderately satisfied with digital tourism experiences. Through these interviews, we can find the challenges and difficulties of digital tourism. Finally, this study puts forward some suggestions. For example, optimizing functions of digital tourism platforms and online booking systems, strengthening research and development of digital technology, adding some classifications of digital tourism content, and promoting the intelligent revolution of customer service
Analysis of Fraudsters’ Discourse Strategies from a Goal-adaptational Perspective
Telecommunications fraud is a pervasive global crime, often carried out by criminal organizations using pre-designed scripts. This research focuses on the discourse strategies used by scammers in telecommunications fraud, specifically examining how they use language to achieve their fraudulent goals. It explores how these strategies adapt to the communicative context across physical, social, and mental dimensions. The study identifies three primary discourse strategies: impersonation, emotional manipulation, and default. These strategies are driven by the central goal of the scam and adapt to specific communicative situations, ultimately leading to the victim being deceived. Analyzing the discourse strategies in telecommunications fraud is highly relevant in practice. This research can help raise public awareness and improve people's ability to identify scams, thereby enhancing society's overall resilience against fraud
The German Generic Masculine Debate: Psycholinguistic Evidence and Gender-Fair Language Practices
The “generic masculine” (German: Generisches Maskulinum) has sparked ongoing controversy in discussions of gender-fair language in German. Through systematic review of relevant literature, this study reveals that psycholinguistic empirical research confirms the generic masculine leads to significant male-biased associations at the cognitive level, indicating a divergence between its theoretical function as a gender-neutral form and its actual cognitive effects. Alternative strategies such as paired forms and neutralization expressions can increase the proportion of female associations, though each has limitations. Emerging forms such as gender asterisks and gender gaps attempt to achieve inclusive representation of diverse gender identities, yet have triggered further debates. The findings demonstrate that gender-fair language practices have transcended purely linguistic dimensions, touching upon fundamental questions about the relationship between language, social categorization and its representation. The German experience provides important insights for understanding gender issues in languages
Research on Difficulties and Breakthrough Strategies of Senior High School Mathematical Modeling Teaching
As one of the basic qualities required for talent cultivation in the context of social development in the new era, “mathematical modeling” has gradually risen in status in mathematics curriculum standards and attracted increasing attention from the mathematics education community. Domestic discussions and calls for mathematical modeling teaching have also been on the rise. However, in reality, both teachers and students face difficulties in effectively carrying out mathematical modeling teaching. Based on existing research, this paper analyzes the main difficulties encountered by these two groups (teachers and students) in the actual process of mathematical modeling teaching, and puts forward targeted breakthrough strategies for each difficulty: Teachers should correct their understanding of mathematical modeling and improve their own mathematical modeling competence; Students should have a clear understanding of their own actual situation and formulate appropriate requirements and learning plans for mathematical modeling
The Motivation, Practices, and Implications of Interdisciplinary Talent Cultivation in American Research Universities
Interdisciplinary talent cultivation has emerged as a key approach for research universities in light of evolving knowledge production methodologies and the rise of global complex issues. American research universities have constructed a mature cultivation system, driven by social requirements, policy guidance, and disciplinary regulations. This article analyzes its practices from four dimensions: strategic planning, organizational structure, cultivation model, and support system, that is, setting the direction through strategic layouts, breaking barriers with multiple organizations, realizing holistic cultivation through curriculum and research, and providing guarantees with multiple mechanisms. In response to the challenges faced by research universities in China, the article makes localized recommendations such as coordinated governance, curriculum reform, and improvement of support mechanisms, so as to provide references for cultivating interdisciplinary talents in the context of “Double First-Class” construction

With the rapid advancement of intelligent manufacturing and robotics industries in China, the demand for skilled professionals such as robotics application engineers has grown significantly. Higher vocational colleges, as key institutions for cultivating technical talents, urgently need to explore course development and implementation pathways that align with industry competency requirements, particularly in the context of industry academy construction. Based on the robotics industry academy jointly established by Sichuan Yangtze Vocational College and Zhejiang Haidu Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., this study adopts a mixed approach of literature review, enterprise research, curriculum design, and practice-based validation. It systematically analyzes the existing challenges in robotics course development and implementation, including goal deviation, insufficient resource integration, lagging smart curriculum construction, weak school-enterprise collaboration, and one-dimensional evaluation systems. On this basis, a competency-oriented modular curriculum system was constructed, smart course resources integrating artificial intelligence and virtual simulation were developed, a dual-mentor collaborative teaching mechanism between schools and enterprises was formed, and a diversified evaluation system was established. The findings indicate that this model significantly enhances students’ practical abilities and professional literacy, while achieving precise alignment between curriculum content and industrial needs. The research provides replicable and transferable experience for robotics program construction and the development of industry academies in higher vocational education
Document Title: A Practical Study on Cultivating Imagination through Educational Theatre in Primary School Chinese Reading Instruction for Years 5-6
Primary school Chinese reading instruction bears the vital mission of cultivating students' core literacy competencies, with the development of imagination serving as a pivotal dimension. In the third stage, the enhancement of students' cognitive abilities paves the way for imagination to develop in depth and logical coherence. However, traditional reading instruction exhibits certain limitations in both its pathways and effectiveness for stimulating imagination. Educational theatre, characterized by its strong emphasis on context, experiential learning, and creativity, serves as an innovative approach for cultivating students’ imagination in Chinese reading classrooms. This paper focuses on Chinese reading instruction at this educational stage, using the teaching of “The Destruction of the Old Summer Palace” as a case study. It explores practical models for specifically stimulating, constructing, and concretising students' imagination through educational theatre activities, analyses their effectiveness, and proposes optimisation strategies
