Research on the Connotation of Shu Embroidery Culture and Its Promotion Paths in the New Era
Shu Embroidery, one of China’s Four Great Embroideries, boasts a history of over two thousand years. It is a significant cultural symbol of the Sichuan region and a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Renowned for its exquisite stitching techniques, rich subject matter, and distinct regional characteristics, Shu Embroidery is not only a traditional craft but also a representative of China’s outstanding traditional culture. However, with rapid modernization and the spread of industrial production, the inheritance and development of Shu Embroidery face serious challenges. These include an aging pool of skilled artisans, shrinking market demand, and insufficient awareness among younger generations. Exploring the cultural value of Shu Embroidery and finding innovative ways to preserve and promote it in the new era are urgent tasks. This paper proposes practical measures for the development and international promotion of Shu Embroidery, focusing on three key areas: deepening its cultural narrative, building tourism-integrated business models, and overcoming language barriers in international communication
The Refraction of Magical Realism—On the Misreading and Interpretation of “Magical Realism” in China
This paper explores the cross-cultural reception and reinterpretation of Latin American magical realism in China through the theoretical lens of David Damrosch’s concept of “refraction” in world literature. It argues that magical realism, originally a postcolonial narrative strategy rooted in Latin American historical trauma and political critique, underwent significant semantic transformation upon its introduction to China. Influenced by Anglo-American critical mediation, delayed theoretical contextualization, and domestic market forces, early Chinese readings often reduced magical realism to a stylistic or fantastical mode, overlooking its ideological depth. However, as Chinese scholarship and literary practice evolved, a more historically and politically grounded understanding emerged, enabling a creative synthesis between magical realism and Chinese cultural experiences. The paper concludes that this process of misreading and reinterpretation, while initially problematic, ultimately contributed to the development of a distinctive Chinese magical realism and enriched the global literary landscape
The Impact of Ownership Concentration on the Performance of Private Enterprises
This study takes A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen as samples to explore the impact of ownership concentration on corporate performance. By selecting the return on total assets (ROA) as the explanatory variable, the shareholding ratio of the top five major shareholders to measure the ownership concentration, and incorporating the control variables such as the company size, the degree of separation of the two rights, the asset-liability ratio and the operating income of the enterprise, the multiple regression analysis method is used for empirical test. The results show that ownership concentration has a positive impact on corporate performance, which provides useful empirical evidence and theoretical reference for listed companies to optimize ownership structure and improve performance
Research on Supply Chain Operation Model and Performance Evaluation of Cross-border E-commerce Enterprises
In the context of the continuous expansion and deepening of the global business environment, the e-commerce field has entered a highly competitive situation, and enterprises are facing tremendous market pressure. Against this backdrop, optimizing supply chain management capabilities has become the key for e-commerce enterprises to gain a leading position in the competition. The current supply chain management model is unable to effectively cope with the rapid changes, diversification, and individualization demands of the e-commerce market. Enterprises urgently need to introduce innovative supply chain management methods and tools to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of global operations. Currently, the e-commerce industry is undergoing a transformational impact brought about by digitalization, intelligence, and transparency. The integration and application of advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence provide new opportunities for supply chain management, driving it into a new stage full of innovative potential. These emerging technologies not only significantly enhance the operational efficiency of the supply chain but also significantly improve its adaptability and transparency. With the rapid growth of the industry, the collaboration relationships among different entities such as cross-platform e-commerce, supply chain manufacturers, and logistics companies are developing towards a more precise direction. The resulting synergy is effectively promoting the formation of a more stable and reliable supply chain ecosystem. In this ecosystem, information transmission is more seamless, resource allocation is more precise and efficient, and stakeholders can more effectively achieve value creation and risk sharing, gradually building a sustainable and virtuous development model
A Corpus-based Study on the Translation of Shallow Needling Related Chapters in Huangdi Neijing
Objectives This study aims to analyze chapters related to shallow needling in Li Zhaoguo's and Wu Liansheng & Wu Qi's English versions, identify the reasons for differences and draw a certain reference for its translation in the future. Methods In this study, the two translations and Chinese original version were constructed into a corpus. WordSmith 4.0, AntConc 3.4.4w, and SPSS 26 were employed for qualitative and quantitative analysis at the lexical, syntactic, and discourse levels of translations related to shallow needling. Results 1) Similarities: There is no significant difference in vocabulary density and quantity between the two translations (P>0.05), and both emphasize the use of conjunctions to express semantic relations. 2) Differences: Wu’s translation has longer word lengths compared to Li’s (P<0.01). Li often uses transliteration with literal translation and annotation, while Wu tends to apply free translation. The differences in sentence length are relatively small in Li's translation (P<0.05), and sentences are more balanced. The two translations have significant differences in using “when” (P<0.05). These differences are closely related to the translators' purposes, strategies, methods, and personal expression habits. Conclusion For the international dissemination of shallow needling, vocabulary translation can draw inspiration from Li's methods and strategies to convey more cultural knowledge related to shallow needling. Sentence translation can benefit from Wu's explicit representation of underlying medical information, facilitating the dissemination of medical knowledge. In terms of discourse, attention should be paid to conveying semantic relationships within passages
A Discourse-Historical Analysis of the Immigration Topic in Trump's Campaign Rally Speeches
This paper employs a discourse-historical analysis method to examine Trump's speech discourse during his campaign rallies, with a focus on exploring his discourse strategies on the topic of immigration and their socio-cultural origins. The study reveals that Trump constructs an immigration discourse framework centered around law, national security, and economic interests through naming strategies, predicative strategies, and perspectivization strategies in his speeches. He emphasizes the threat posed by illegal immigrants to employment and security, utilizing direct and indirect quotations to enhance the authority and emotional impact of his discourse. The research presented in this paper not only uncovers the ideological foundation of Trump's immigration policies but also provides a new perspective for understanding the interactive relationship between political discourse and socio-historical context
Translation Strategies for Huangmei Opera Aria English Versions Based on the Theory of Functional Equivalence: An Analysis of Huangmei Opera Translations
As one of the five major Chinese operas and an important vehicle for cross-cultural communication, Huangmei Opera integrates language, singing, music, performance, and set design, reflecting the traditional cultural characteristics of China and its regions. With its unique singing style, beautiful lyrics, and strong local cultural expressiveness, Huangmei Opera is deeply loved by the public. However, due to cultural differences between China and other countries, it is difficult for English translations of the lyrics to reflect local characteristics and retain the original flavor. Guided by cultural translation theory and taking wonderful singing segments from Huangmei Opera as examples, this paper mainly explores the English translation strategies of Huangmei Opera, specifically analyzing the application of translation techniques such as addition, transposition, omission, and domestication in the singing segments to achieve equivalent functions at the cultural level. This provides a new perspective for the translation of drama and promotes the dissemination and exchange of Chinese opera culture
Research on the Internationalization Strategy of the Remote Sensing Satellite Industry: A Multi-Dimensional Perspective Based on Human Resources, Finance, and Foreign Affairs
Against the backdrop of a reshaped global geopolitical landscape and the deep integration of commercial space activities, remote sensing satellite enterprises are entering a critical period of strategic transformation. Based on the author's years of practical experience in the international operations of remote sensing companies, this paper focuses on three key management dimensions: human resources organization, financial operations, and foreign affairs channels. It identifies core challenges in the current international market and explores responsive mechanisms. The paper proposes a "Technology–Market–Politics" collaborative framework, emphasizing the importance of cross-departmental coordination in enhancing global resilience. Particularly in remote sensing cooperation along the Belt and Road countries, a single technical capability is insufficient to support complex projects. Instead, a stable international cooperation system must be built upon multidisciplinary talent, dynamic financial mechanisms, and diversified diplomatic strategies. This study aims to provide practice-based strategic insights for Chinese commercial space enterprises going global, while also offering empirical support and real-world interpretation for the management theory of remote sensing space activities
Jim Crow Laws in The United States and Apartheid in South Africa: A Political and Critical Analysis
This paper gives us a glimpse into the early features that defined two racist and inhumane political systems: Jim Crow laws in the United States and Apartheid in South Africa. A broader understanding of these worlds should change how we view critical issues of race, segregation, and discrimination. In addition, this work provides insight about the long struggles of black people against white supremacy and hegemony on two, very different continents. Meaning, we can learn about the maddening and heinous crimes against humanity rendered by white supremacists in the United States and South Africa. In other words, racism, segregation, and discrimination played a central role in the harsh, political systems of both countries. Equally important, white supremacists in the United States and South Africa brutalized the black communities in both places, while feeling superior to all other ethnic groups. Of course, white supremacists always tried to hide their violence and sanitize the ugly truths of their respective governments. They also exerted their will on others, primarily for their own benefit, which triggered acrimony in both minority populations. This paper also exposes the underlying facts about the deprave actions of white supremacists who went too far in both societies against mostly black people — in the United States and South Africa. Meaning, both countries were enmeshed in the realm of horrifying inequality and racism. In the final analysis, we should be able to see clearly the striking similarities between the American Jim Crow laws and Apartheid system in South Africa with their white supremacy traditions
Exploring Senior High School English Teachers’ Professional Development:Challenges and Pathways within the TPACK Framework
The present study is an attempt to explore the professional development challenges faced by high school English teachers within the TPACK framework, particularly in the context of technology integration. By reviewing existing literature, this study identifies three primary challenges: the difficulty in incorporating technology into pedagogy and content knowledge, the lack of sufficient time and resources, and the psychological resistance to innovation. In response to these issues, the study proposes three strategies. First, focusing on tailored training programs and reflective activities to equip teachers with both the tools and mindset necessary for successful technology integration. Second, optimizing time and resources through personalization and collaboration, which emphasizes flexible, personalized learning pathways and encourages collaboration among teachers to make the best use of available resources. Third, advocating for gradual integration and supportive strategies, such as fostering a positive environment and establishing incentive mechanisms, to alleviate resistance. The study seeks to promote the successful implementation of the TPACK framework, enhancing the quality of high school English instruction and offering valuable support for teachers’ professional development. The findings not only offer practical solutions for integrating technology into pedagogy and content knowledge but also lay a theoretical foundation for the future application of educational technology
