Youth-oriented Reinterpretation and Contemporary Transmission of Revolutionary Heritage: Cognitive Differences and Cultural Identity among Generation Z in Creative Adaptations of Revolutionary Songs
As the spiritual lineage shaped under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party in the process of revolution, construction, and reform, red culture is endowed with a unique original aspiration and mission, a rich national spirit, and profound historical memories. Red songs, using melody as a bridge, turn abstract spiritual concepts into perceptible artistic representations, and exert an important role of uniting people and inspiring morale in various historical periods. Generation Z has been accustomed to expressing culture and constructing identity through the deconstruction and reconstruction of symbols, and therefore they engage in red songs through creative adaptation as a form of dialogue with red culture. On the basis of the characteristics of Generation Z and the essence of creative adaptation of red songs, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the role of “creative adaptation” of red songs for Generation Z, and explores the cognitive differences of Generation Z's perception of such adaptations, proposes how to enhance the cultural identity through “creative adaptation” of red songs for Generation Z, aiming to drive the innovative development and transformative evolution of red culture in the new era
Exploration on Improving Learning Efficiency of Junior College Students in Private Higher Education Institutions
The impact of social progress and scientific and technological development on students’ learning is two-sided. On the one hand, students can enjoy the convenience brought by these advances in their study; on the other hand, they inevitably lead to the decline of students’ learning efficiency. Affected by multiple factors such as student source quality and school management, the problem of low learning efficiency is particularly prominent among junior college students in private higher education institutions. Based on this background, this paper analyzes the causes of low learning efficiency of junior college students in private higher education institutions, and further explores and puts forward targeted improvement suggestions from multiple perspectives
Analysis of the Dilemmas and Development Pathways of China’s Glacier Protection System
This paper comprehensively examines the severe and increasingly deteriorating situation confronting glacier protection in China, while systematically identifying the inherent deficiencies and structural gaps in the country’s current legal and regulatory framework governing glacial resources. It emphasizes the urgent and pressing need to address the cascading ecological crises and water resource shortages triggered by accelerating glacier ablation, a phenomenon that has been exacerbated by global climate change over the past few decades. Although a handful of existing national laws, local regulations, and policy documents in China touch upon certain aspects of glacier conservation, there remains a conspicuous absence of specialized, comprehensive legislation explicitly dedicated to the protection of glaciers as unique and irreplaceable natural assets. By conducting an in-depth comparative analysis of domestic legislative practices (including recent local initiatives in Tibet Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region) and international legislative models for glacier protection (such as the pioneering frameworks in Argentina and Kyrgyzstan), this study proposes a set of targeted recommendations. These include advancing the legislative process for a specialized national Glacier Protection Law, establishing four fundamental legal institutions for glacier conservation, and refining the regulatory system to ensure the comprehensive, systematic, and science-based protection of glacier resources. The ultimate goal of these measures is to promote the sustainable development of glacial ecosystems, safeguard critical water supplies for ecological and socioeconomic needs, and provide a robust legal foundation for China’s efforts to address the challenges of climate change in the cryospheric domain
The Dilemma and Perfection of the “Substituted Decision-Making” Mechanism in the Protection of Minors’ Personal Information
In the context of the digital economy, the protection of minors’ personal information encounters challenges in coordination and implementation, necessitating stronger institutional safeguards. Such information embodies dual interests: the minor’s own personal information rights and the parental guardianship rights. Effective governance requires clear age thresholds and balanced consideration of relevant interests. Central to the legal framework is the guardian consent mechanism, which is based on the “substituted decision-making” model from civil guardianship theory. To address practical gaps, this mechanism should be refined in terms of identity verification, validity of consent, and consent withdrawal. Enhancing these aspects can help resolve key difficulties in protecting minors’ personal data
Rule-of-Law Practice in Northeast China Against the Background of Comprehensive Revitalization
To advance the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era and on the new journey, it is imperative to implement the strategic blueprint outlined at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which calls for achieving new breakthroughs in the region’s holistic rejuvenation. From the perspective of rule-of-law development in the three northeastern provinces and the eastern Inner Mongolia autonomous region, this paper examines the background and essence of rule-of-law thinking, and provides a detailed analysis of the progress made in key areas such as promoting scientific legislation, rigorous law enforcement, impartial justice, and fostering a law-abiding society across the Northeast. By improving legislation in critical and emerging sectors, refining accountability mechanisms for administrative law enforcement personnel to enhance professional standards, and implementing diversified dispute-resolution mechanisms, the region is steadily moving toward an ideal scenario in which everyone abides by the law, legal channels are utilized to resolve issues, and conflicts are settled through legal means. Furthermore, it identifies existing challenges in the current rule-of-law construction process, including the lagging legislative system in some economic and social fields, the insufficient coordination between law enforcement departments, and the need to further enhance the legal awareness of the general public. Based on these analyses, the paper puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for optimizing the rule-of-law environment in Northeast China, thereby creating a solid legal guarantee for the region’s high-quality development and comprehensive revitalization
Adverse Childhood Experiences and Neighborhood Characteristics: A Systematic Review
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), including abuse and neglect, are strongly associated with children’s long-term development and have become a global policy priority. Although existing research has highlighted the predictive effects of ACEs and neighborhood characteristics on individual health outcomes, there is still a lack of systematic integration and review of evidence on the association between neighborhood characteristics and ACEs, which is critical to understanding child development. Following the PRISMA guidelines, we searched four major databases, screened the search results from 1999 to 2025, and used standardized tools for quality assessment. Ultimately, we identified 39 pieces of evidence and conducted a systematic review of these 39 studies, narratively summarizing the research findings. This review incorporates multidimensional neighborhood characteristics into the theoretical framework with the aim of exploring the association between neighborhood structural characteristics (such as poverty, racial diversity, safety, and resource accessibility) and non-structural characteristics (such as collective efficacy) with ACEs. The research results indicate that there is a significant association between neighborhood characteristics and ACEs risk. Therefore, considering neighborhood characteristics when developing ACEs intervention and prevention policies and strategies can help ensure the comprehensiveness of the plan
A Study on the Differences in Language Intervention Effects between Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Typically Developing Children
To compare the differences in language intervention effects between children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Typically Developing (TD) children, and to address the limitations of static assessment and insufficient longitudinal research, this study integrated Dynamic Assessment (DA) theory with the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to conduct a 12-month longitudinal follow-up of 40 children aged 6–9 years (20 children with ASD and 20 TD children). A mixed-methods research design was adopted, with data collected through standardized tests, dynamic assessment, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis was performed using Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM) and thematic analysis. Results indicated that: (1) The language development of ASD children showed non-linear characteristics, while that of TD children was more stable; (2) Dynamic assessment was more sensitive to capturing the language progress of ASD children; (3) ESDM significantly improved the pragmatic competence of ASD children, with notable gender differences and a "double-edged sword" effect of prior intervention experience. This study provides empirical support for individualized language intervention for children with ASD
A Study on Escort Interpreting Strategies at Buddhist Sites from the Perspective of Interpretive Theory: A Case Analysis of Baoguang Temple
With the growing popularity of cultural tourism, escort interpreting at religious attractions has become an important medium for intercultural communication. Buddhist sites, in particular, present significant challenges to interpreters due to culturally loaded terms, religious concepts, and historical narratives. Drawing upon recorded data from a six-hour escort interpreting task at Baoguang Temple, a prominent Buddhist heritage site in Chengdu, China, this study examines how interpreting strategies are employed to ensure accurate and effective communication for foreign visitors. Guided by Interpretive Theory, the study analyzes recorded interpreting data and focuses on methods such as omission, explanation, and liberal translation in response to difficulties arising from Buddhist terminology, ancient Chinese couplets, and local historical stories. From the perspectives of comprehension, de-verbalization, and re-expression, selected interpreting cases are examined to illustrate how meaning-oriented strategies contribute to communicative effectiveness in dynamic on-site settings. The findings suggest that prioritizing meaning over linguistic form enables interpreters to better mediate complex cultural and religious content. This study aims to provide practical insights for escort interpreting at Buddhist attractions and contribute to research on interpreting strategies in cultural tourism contexts
Research on Curriculum Teaching Reform of Fine Arts Major in Colleges and Universities: Guided by OBE Concept and Oriented by Thematic Painting Creation Competence
In recent years, against the backdrop of teacher professional certification, the education of fine arts majors in colleges and universities has undergone comprehensive reforms. Adopting Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) as the core philosophy of these reforms breaks through traditional educational models, pointing to a new direction for the educational reform of fine arts majors in higher education. Based on the OBE concept, this paper further explores the curriculum teaching reform of fine arts majors in colleges and universities, which is oriented toward thematic painting creation competence. It clarifies the concept of thematic painting creation and its value in the curriculum teaching reform of fine arts majors, and proposes a comprehensive implementation path
Research on Evaluating the Social Service Functions of Local Universities in the Context of High-Quality Development
The current transition of China’s economic and social development into a stage of high-quality development brings with it new and higher levels of expectation for higher education institutions and their role within society. Local universities play a key role as nodes within a regional innovation ecosystem, and therefore require their capabilities for service to the region to be assessed in terms of traditional methods. This research outlines a methodology for developing an assessment framework based upon high-quality development for local universities and how that assessment will be achieved through reform of evaluation focus, assessment criteria construction and execution. The result of this effort will be a startup type of framework of multidimensional evaluation that utilizes the concepts of regional contribution, incorporation of innovation and sustainable development as fundamental to its viability while serving local universities as a practical source of evidence
