Optimizing Fiscal Databases For Digital Taxation

    No full text
In this epoque, where digitalization is making big transformations, it is crucial to use it to make daily life more practical and efficient, the digitalization of fiscal coupon management systems represents a necessary step towards increasing transparency, efficiency and the automation of business operations and tax processes. The lack of systems and integration with tax systems needs to be addressed, as the combination of modern technology with best practices in fiscal management creates security, data management integrity and cost reduction by promoting a fully digital system. Integrating the tax administration through a secure API enables the real-time submission of tax reports generated from fiscal receipts. Through data visualization, businesses gain analytical insights for making strategic decisions, while the distribution of fiscal receipts via QR codeensures immediate access, digital storage and convenience for customers, maintaining an efficient ecosystem between businesses, tax authorities and clients, thereby contributing to the modernization of fiscal information systems

Operational Research and Their Approach in Practical Actuality

    No full text
Operational Research (OR), as defined by INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and Management Science) is intended to provide a rational basis in the decisionmaking process by trying to understand and structure complex situations and to use this understanding to anticipate the behavior of different systems to improve their performance. By using analytical and numerical techniques to develop and modify mathematical and computational models for organizational systems consisting of humans, machines and procedures, new behaviors are realized different from those previous . The systems studied in Operational Research have in common the possibility of being modeled mathematically on the basis of a feasible and achievable quantitative description. In its most basic form, Operational Research can be seen as a scientific approach to problem solving, it extracts the essential elements of the problem into a model, which is then analyzed to provide an optimal solution for implementation. The mathematical details and specific techniques used to construct and analyze these models can be very sophisticated and addressed elsewhere in this use. The focus of this paper is on the approach, a brief summary of the historical origins of Operational Research, and will lead to a detailed description of its methodology

Media Education as a Tool for Civic Empowerment: Critical Approaches of Youth in Kosovo Towards Online Disinformation

    No full text
In the digital information era, young people face an extraordinarily high number of online sources daily. In this constant exposure, disinformation and fake news pose a serious challenge to democracy, public life, and particularly to how youth perceive social processes. This paper aims to analyze the level of media literacy among youth in Kosovo and the role this literacy plays in civic empowerment. Drawing on the Uses and Gratifications theory, the study examines how critical approaches influence the ability of Kosovar youth to detect disinformation and other forms of media disruption. The methodology combines a quantitative survey of young people (aged 16–30) with semi-structured interviews with media experts and educators, aiming to highlight the impact of online content on youth and their potential to protect themselves against disinformation. A review of relevant literature is also an essential part of this study. The findings indicate that youth with higher levels of media literacy are more inclined to challenge false narratives, demonstrating the importance of media education and the need for its integration into the national educational system

The impact and credibility of opinion makers and influencers on public opinion in Kosova

    No full text
This paper aims to examine the impact of political analysts but also of digital influencers in shaping public opinion in Kosovo. For some time, and especially in the last decade, we have been experiencing a broad opening of the public media space, which has been aided by the growth of television and the developments of social networks, turning into strong arenas of carrying and clashing of debuting energy. The relatively large number of nightly debates on television is giving a wide field to commentators as voices that inform, comment, and analyze almost all issues and events. But how much they are influencing the way citizens understand political and social reality is a dilemma that, among other things, the paper aims to answer. The research of the topic reveals how these actors help in building public narratives, in determining the issues that gain attention, and in orienting political debate. The study is supported by literature, field research, but also concrete examples from television and digital platforms of commentators. The topic also includes the issue of credibility and the way in which direct interaction with the public influences their authority. The results give us a twosided overview of the impact of commentators: they can enrich public debate and increase transparency, but they can also contribute to polarization and the spread of disinformation

Procedure of Approximation of National Legislation with European Standards in Kosovo

    No full text
This paper aims to analyze the procedure of approximating Kosovo’s national legislation with European Union standards, as mandated by the Stabilization and Association Agreement. The approximation process is essential for meeting the Copenhagen criteria— economic, political, and legal—which are prerequisites for EU integration. The Ministry of European Integration coordinates this process in collaboration with other ministries and agencies, based on national and international legal frameworks. Although legislative alignment with EU acquis has progressed significantly, challenges remain in the practical implementation of these laws. Obstacles include insufficient resources, lack of political prioritization, and widespread corruption, which hinder the rule of law and effective application of reforms. The Kosovo Progress Report highlights early-stage preparation for acquis implementation and emphasizes the need for robust enforcement, particularly in judicial reform and anti-corruption measures. Regarding minority rights, Kosovo guarantees their protection through constitutional provisions, international conventions, and specific legislation such as Law No. 03/L-047. Unlike general legislative approximation, minority rights legislation is better implemented in practice

Victimization of the Elderly in Kosovo: A Victimological and Criminological Overview

    No full text
The aim of this study is to analyze the victimization of the elderly in Kosovo by providing a theoretical and conceptual assessment from a victimological and criminological perspective. Elderly victimization represents a significant social problem, encompassing various forms of physical, psychological, financial abuse, and neglect. The importance of this study stems from the need to understand the challenges faced by the elderly in a transitional society like Kosovo, where economic, social, and institutional factors affect their safety and well-being. The methodology is based on the analysis of scientific literature and existing reports, without employing empirical or field data. This theoretical approach allows for an in-depth overview of victimization phenomena and contributing factors, as well as an evaluation of institutional and social responses to this issue. Findings indicate that the victimization of the elderly remains a complex and multidimensional challenge that requires greater attention within social policy and criminal justice fields. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the need to strengthen legal mechanisms, develop protective services, and raise public awareness for the effective prevention and treatment of elderly victimization in Kosovo

Noun Phrases in English and Albanian Languages: A Contrastive Approach

    No full text
This paper presents a contrastive analysis of noun phrases in English and Albanian. It focuses on their syntactic structures and key distinctions. Employing a qualitative approach, the research uses descriptive and comparative methods to analyse data from grammar and syntax books in both languages. The study examines simple and complex noun phrases, particularly the use of definiteness, premodifiers, and postmodifiers. The findings reveal that while both languages share similarities in using indefinite noun phrases, they diverge in marking definiteness: English uses definite articles, whereas Albanian incorporates definiteness through morphological changes. These differences reflect broader grammatical tendencies and offer insights for improving language learning and translation practices. The findings provide practical implications for educators, translators, and linguists by enhancing understanding of syntactic differences for effective cross-linguistic communication
