This study aims to shed a light on how Islamic finance can play a significant role in alleviating the challenges that IE experienced and improving the accessibility to fiscal sources and social integration of the Immigrant Entrepreneurs (IE) in the host country, especially Malaysia. The prominent challenges that the IEs are facing are the difficulties in accessing the capital to finance their business and the lack of knowledge of the local regulations. The findings lead to a model that aims to tackle the challenges that IE experienced via Business Support and Cash Waqf for IE Model (BS-WIEM). The BS-WIEM acts as a comprehensive initiative to bridge the resource disparity among IE in terms of funding accessibility and human capital development. This study attempts to construct the BS-WIEM based on the extensive literature review related to the challenges the IE experienced and waqf. This research can positively impact the development and funding of the IE in Malaysia. This study will provide insights to the government, waqf institutions, corporations, financial institutions, and policymakers about alternative funding options for IE businesses and start-ups in the host country. Less tension on the public spending by the government with the involvement of non-profit organizations. This conceptual paper only explores the literature; thus, no empirical analysis is available. More in-depth and comprehensive insights could be identified with the empirical studies. Future research on the regulatory and shariah perspective of the model should be done. The findings of this paper will offer a cash waqf model as an alternative to fund the development of entrepreneurship in Malaysia, especially for immigrants

This study uses a quantitative approach with a case study of Danisy Bakery\u27s distribution. The data collected includes the amount of production, the destination of delivery, and the cost of transportation per unit. The calculation is carried out by applying the NWC and Least Cost methods, then compared to determine the most economical method. The results of the study show that the Least Cost method is more effective in reducing costs than NWC because it prioritizes the cheapest route, so that the allocation is more optimal. This method is recommended to improve the distribution efficiency of Danisy Bakery. This research is expected to help business actors choose a more cost-efficient distribution strategy and become an academic reference in the application of transportation methods

The Effect of Inflation, Government Spending and Exports on Economic Growth in Indonesia

This study examines the effect of inflation, government spending, and exports on Indonesia\u27s economic growth in the period 1990–2023. The data used are time series data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The analysis method used is Vector Autoregression (VAR) with estimation through Eviews 13 software. The results of the analysis show that inflation has a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth. Government spending shows a significant positive effect, while exports have an insignificant negative impact. Overall, the dynamics of the three variables do not have a significant impact simultaneously on economic growth. However, the finding that government spending has a significant positive effect indicates the importance of optimizing state spending, especially if it is directed to strategic sectors that can increase national productivity. Negative inflation indicates the need for policies to maintain price stability. Although exports have not shown a strong influence, efforts to increase the competitiveness of export products remain relevant within the framework of long-term development. The originality of this study lies in the integration of three main macroeconomic variables in one VAR model to analyze their dynamic relationships. This approach provides a new contribution to the study of Indonesian macroeconomics and provides empirical evidence that can be used by policymakers in formulating sustainable economic growth strategies

Zakat has become a controversial topic of study that is experiencing new ijtihad in the modern era today. Contemporary scholars Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Wahbah Al-Zuhayli consider professional zakat to be obligatory. However, in terms of how and what is determined, the rulings of the two figures have similarities and differences. This paper uses a library research approach, with content analysis techniques. This method is used to analyze the thoughts of Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Wahbah Al-Zuhayli related to the law of professional zakat. According to the analysis, the similarity in the thought of professional zakat between Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Wahbah Al-Zuhayli lies in the permissibility of giving professional zakat; both figures allow the giving of professional zakat although there are certain exceptions. The method of istinbath for professional zakat in Al-Qaradawi\u27s perspective uses qiyas. The use of qiyas in determining professional zakat is analogized with the zakat of gold and silver. Whereas the istinbath method according to Wahbah al-Zuhayli is that professional zakat is not obligatory for every Muslim, because, according to him, there is no strong basis for the existence of professional zakat. However, he provides leniency for those who make professional zakat obligatory

Research Aims: This study aims to analyze the impact of AI implementation on the labor market by integrating the Maqashid Syariah perspective as an ethical framework. Methodology: This research employed a qualitative approach with library research methods. Data was collected from journals, books, research reports, and academic publications. Analysis was conducted using content analysis through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research Findings: The implementation of AI has three main effects on the labor market: (1) productivity effect, namely increased efficiency, productivity, and work safety, (2) replacement effect, namely the shift in human roles due to automation, especially in routine work, and (3) recovery effect, namely the creation of new jobs that require high skills and digital competencies. AI increases productivity and opens up new job opportunities, but also raises challenges such as structural unemployment, skills gaps, and ethical implications. From the perspective of Maqashid Syariah, these impacts can be directed so that technological progress remains oriented towards the benefit through the principles of hifz al-mal (protection of property), hifz al-nafs (protection of life), and hifz al-\u27aql (protection of reason). Theoretical Contribution: This research integrates Islamic ethics in understanding the transformation of the digital labor market. Research limitation and implication: This research is limited to literature sources without empirical data support. The implications of this research can form the basis for formulating inclusive and sustainable employment policies

Integrating Islamic Economics and Climate Finance: A Global Bibliometric Mapping

    No full text
The escalating concern of climate change has heightened academic focus on institutions of sustainable financing and the role of Islamic financing and finance. Although Islamic social finance, green sukuk, and sustainability have been previously discussed in terms of normative or case-based approaches, a systematic worldwide mapping of the research patterns that combine the Islamic economics perspective with climate finance has not been done in a systematic way. This paper tries to fill this gap by doing a bibliometric review of 126 journal articles located in the Scopus database and published between 2014 and 2025, and additional data is gathered on 25 September 2025. Based on bibliometric indicators and network visualization with VOSviewer, this study focuses on the analysis of trends in publications, partnerships between countries and institutions, journals and authors with the greatest impact, and the co-occurrence of significant research themes. Based on the results, it is possible to note that the number of publications has significantly risen since 2020, which suggests a growing academic interest in the field of Islamic economics in the context of climate finance. The influential states are Malaysia and Indonesia, which does not only imply high academic ability but also the impact of the proactive national policy, regulating frameworks, and institutional support of integrating Islamic finance and green finance. Keyword analysis also demonstrates the centrality of the terms "Islamic finance," "sustainable finance," and "green sukuk" with the emergence of new terms related to fintech, ESG and decentralized finance, as well as the transition to digital and innovative sustainability-focused financial instruments

Economic Growth and Islamic Financial Inclusion in OIC Countries: Evidence with Spline Approach

    No full text
Background: Digital financial inclusion is presently one of the most acknowledged domains of international development. Financial inclusion is pertains to the accessibility of inexpensive financial services for individuals and enterprises to fulfill their requirements.   Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic financial inclusion on economic growth in Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries, focusing on the importance of financial infrastructure and digital adoption in Muslim-majority nations. Novelty: This study presents a novel methodology by analyzing the correlation between economic growth and Islamic financial inclusion in the context of OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) nations with a Spline regression model. This research explicitly examines Islamic financial inclusion, a neglected aspect that adheres to the norms and practices of Sharia law, in contrast to traditional studies that address financial inclusion in a general sense. Research Methodology / Design: The research employs the Spline regression approach to capture the non-linear relationship between Islamic financial inclusion and economic growth. The dependent variable is economic growth represented by GDP per capita, while the independent variables consist of the number of ATMs, Islamic bank branches, mobile phone usage, and internet access. The study uses data from 47 OIC member countries, with independent variables from 2022 and the dependent variable from 2023. Findings: The results indicate that the maturity level of financial infrastructure and the adoption of technology significantly contribute to economic growth. The separation of indicators based on their influence provides valuable insights for policymakers to design more targeted financial inclusion strategies. Furthermore, the findings highlight that access to financial services, digital adoption, and Islamic financial practices play a transformative role in improving GDP per capita across OIC countries. Implication: The findings provide both theoretical and practical implications by demonstrating that tailored financial inclusion policies are needed to accommodate diverse national contexts and stages of economic development in OIC member states
